How to turn on the OPTOMA DX3417 projector?
Plug in the power cord, then press the Power button on the top panel or the remote control. A green indicator light turns on when the device is ready.
What to do if the projected image is blurry?
Turn the focus ring around the lens until the image is sharp. If blur persists, check the projection distance and clean the lens with a soft cloth.
How to replace the projector lamp?
Turn off the projector and unplug it. Wait 45 minutes for it to cool down. Remove the lamp cover, unscrew the old lamp and replace it with a new one of reference OPTOMA BL-FP240A. Screw it back and close the cover.
How to clean the air filter?
Turn off and unplug the projector. Open the filter cover on the side, remove the filter and tap it to remove dust. If necessary, wash it with warm soapy water, rinse and dry completely before replacing.
The projector does not turn on, what to check?
Check that the power cable is properly connected and that the outlet works. Make sure the Kensington lock is not engaged. If the indicator blinks red, the lamp may be at end of life or the projector overheated.
How to connect a computer to the projector?
Use a VGA or HDMI cable to connect the computer output to the corresponding input on the projector. Select the appropriate source via the Source menu or the remote control.
Why is the image inverted or upside down?
Go to the Display menu and set the Projection option to 'Table' (front) or 'Ceiling' (rear) depending on your setup. If the image is flipped horizontally, choose 'Mirror'.

Use the zoom ring on the lens to enlarge or reduce the image. Move the projector closer to or farther from the screen to change the size. The recommended projection distance is 1.2 to 10 meters.

The serial number is on a label on the bottom of the projector or behind the input panel. It usually starts with G followed by 12 digits.
How to activate eco mode?
Press the Eco button on the remote control or go to the Setup menu > Lamp Mode and select 'Eco'. This reduces brightness and noise while extending lamp life.
