Frequently Asked Questions - DX329 OPTOMA
How to replace the lamp of the OPTOMA DX329 projector?
Turn off the projector and unplug it. Let it cool for 30 minutes. Remove the lamp cover, unscrew the fixing screws, replace the lamp with a new one (model BL-FP200A) and close the cover. Reset the lamp counter via the menu.
What to do if the projector does not turn on?
Check the power cable and the mains socket. Make sure the power indicator is lit. If the indicator blinks, wait for the lamp to cool. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.
Why is the image blurry?
Use the manual focus ring on the lens. Make sure the projection distance is appropriate. Clean the lens with a soft cloth. Check the input resolution.
How to correct keystone distortion?
Access the OSD menu, select 'Keystone correction' and adjust the vertical value (from -40° to +40°) until you get a rectangular image.
What is the lamp life and when to replace it?
The lamp lasts about 3000 hours in normal mode and 4000 hours in economic mode. Replace it when the image becomes dim or the indicator blinks. Use a certified OPTOMA lamp.
How to clean the air filter?
Turn off the projector and unplug it. Remove the air filter, clean it with a vacuum cleaner or rinse with lukewarm water (let it dry completely). Put it back. Clean every 100 hours of use.
How to connect a laptop to the projector?
Use a VGA cable (or HDMI with adapter) to connect the projector to the computer. Select the VGA source via the 'Source' button on the remote control or projector. Set the computer resolution to 1024x768 for optimal image.
The remote control does not work, what to do?
Check the remote control batteries and replace them if necessary. Make sure there is no obstacle between the remote and the projector's infrared sensor. Point the remote toward the front of the projector.
The projector overheats and shuts down, why?
Check that the air intake and air outlet are not obstructed. Clean the air filter. Place the projector in a well-ventilated area, away from walls. If the problem persists, contact a technician.
Does the projector support 16:9 or Full HD?
The projector has a native XGA (4:3) resolution. It accepts 16:9 signals and scales them to 1024x768. It does not support Full HD (1920x1080) natively, but can display signals up to 1080p by scaling.
