What is the lamp life?
The lamp of the OPTOMA DH1020 projector has a lifespan of approximately 3000 to 5000 hours in normal mode, and up to 8000 hours in eco mode. Be sure to replace the lamp when the indicator lights up. Refer to the Maintenance chapter of the manual.
How to correct a distorted image?
Use keystone correction via the device menu. You can adjust vertical and horizontal distortion. For optimal quality, place the projector perpendicular to the screen.
Can I connect a game console or PC?
Yes, the projector has HDMI and VGA inputs. Connect your console or PC via an HDMI (recommended) or VGA cable. Select the corresponding source in the Input menu.
How to clean the air filter?
Turn off the device and unplug it. Remove the filter cover (usually on the side). Vacuum or wash the filter with clean water (let it dry completely before reinserting). Perform this operation every 500 hours of use.
The remote control does not work, what to do?
First check the batteries: insert new batteries respecting polarity. Make sure no obstacle blocks the projector's infrared sensor. If the problem persists, reset the remote by removing the batteries and pressing a button for 5 seconds.
The projector turns off by itself, why?
This may be due to overheating or a ventilation issue. Check that the ventilation grilles are not blocked and that the filter is clean. The device automatically shuts down to protect itself. Refer to the Troubleshooting section of the manual.
How to use 3D mode?
The projector supports 3D projection via HDMI. Activate the 3D function in the device menu. You will need DLP-Link compatible active 3D glasses. See the manual for specific settings.
What is the maximum image size?
The image size depends on the projection distance and zoom. Generally, you can get a diagonal of 30 to 300 inches. Use the distance calculator provided in the manual or online on the Optoma website.
How to replace the projector lamp?
Turn off the projector and unplug it. Wait for the lamp to cool down (about 30 minutes). Open the lamp compartment (screws or latch). Remove the old lamp and insert the new one without touching the glass. Close and reset the lamp counter via the Settings menu.
