Frequently Asked Questions - DCH-650TIX Heinner

What is the minimum installation height above a gas hob?
For gas hobs, the minimum distance between the hob surface and the lowest part of the hood is 75 cm (65 cm for electric).
How do I clean the grease filters?
Soak the aluminum mesh filters in warm water with a grease-loosening detergent for about 3 minutes, then gently brush with a soft brush. Let them dry naturally away from direct sunlight.
How often should the carbon filter be replaced?
The activated carbon filter should be replaced every 3 to 6 months depending on your cooking habits. It is sold separately.
How do I replace the LED bulb?
Switch off and unplug the hood. Wait for the bulb to cool. Remove the grease filter and unscrew the frame. Replace with a 1.5W max LED bulb (DC 12V) of the same type. Use a cloth to avoid touching the bulb directly.
What does the timer function do?
Press the Timer button while the hood is running. It will automatically turn off after 9 minutes. The display counts down from 9 to 0.
Can the hood be used in recirculation mode?
Yes, if you install an optional activated carbon filter. The hood can be used without external ducting. The carbon filter traps odors.
Why is the hood not working?
Check if the power cord is properly plugged in and the house fuses are not blown. Also ensure the fan switch is turned on. If still not working, contact service.
How do I adjust the speed?
Press the Speed button repeatedly to cycle through low (1), medium (2), high (3). The LED display shows the current speed.
What is the maximum suction power?
The maximum suction power is 595.8 m³/h at high speed.
How do I install the hood?
Follow the installation manual: mark the mounting height (65-75 cm above hob), install the hook, attach the chimney brackets, connect the exhaust duct (150mm), and fix the hood securely. Ensure all screws are tight.

  • Failure to observe these basic instructions will reduce the performance and increase noise levels of the cooker hood.
  • Any installation work must be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.
  • Do not connect the ducting system of the hood to any existing ventilation system which is being used for any other appliance, such as warmer tube, gas tube, hot wind tube.
  • The angle of the bend of the expansion pipe should not be less than 120^ ; you must direct the pipe horizontally, or, alternatively, the pipe should go up from the initial point and should be led to an outer wall.

• After the installation, make sure that the cooker hood is level to avoid grease collection at on end.
- Ensure the expansion pipe selected for installation complies with relevant standards and is fire retardant.
