Frequently Asked Questions - B1400BE GORENJE

How do I start blending with the Gorenje B1400BE?
Place the blender on a flat surface, ensure the speed knob is at OFF, plug in, and turn the knob to a speed between Min and Max. The light ring will illuminate, and the blender starts. You can also use the 'P' position for pulse/high speed.
What is the maximum amount of ingredients I can put in the jar?
Do not exceed the maximum level indicated on the jar (1.5 liters). The total mixture of water and other ingredients should stay below this line to avoid spillage.
Can I blend hot liquids?
No, never use hot liquids or run the blender empty. Hot liquids can cause pressure buildup and eject from the lid, leading to burns.
How do I use the Smoothie, Ice Crush, or Auto Clean programs?
Turn the speed knob to ON, then press the desired button (Smoothie, Ice Crush, or Auto Clean). The corresponding indicator will light solidly and the program will run automatically. To stop, press the same button again or turn the knob to OFF.
How long can I run the blender continuously?
Do not operate for more than 3 minutes per cycle. Allow the blender to rest for at least 30 minutes before starting the next cycle to prevent overheating.
How do I clean the blender properly?
For quick cleaning, half-fill the jar with warm water and a little detergent, use the Pulse function a few times, then rinse. For thorough cleaning, unscrew the blade assembly (turn anticlockwise), remove the rubber seal, and wash all parts in warm soapy water. Never immerse the motor base in water.
Can I wash the blender parts in the dishwasher?
No, do not clean any part of the blender in the dishwasher. Hand wash only to avoid damage.
What should I do if the blender does not start?
Check that the jar lid is firmly closed (the blender will not activate if the lid is not in place). Also ensure the speed knob is not at OFF and the unit is plugged in.
Is it safe to remove the jar while the blender is running?
No. Never remove the jar from the motor base during operation. Always turn off the blender, wait for the blade to stop completely, then unplug before removing the jar.
What is the power consumption and noise level of this blender?
The blender has a maximum power of 1400 W and operates at a noise level of 82 dB(A).

  3. Zatvorite poklopac bokala i namestite mericu. Poklopac bokala mora čvrsto da bude zatvoren, inače nećete moći pokrenuti rad aparata.
  4. Bokal blendera (seckalice) namestite na postolje aparata (kućište motora). Proverite da li je bokal ispravno namešten.
  5. Spojite aparat na električnu mrežu.

Handy Blending Hints

  • A brief whirl in the blender will rescue a lumpy gravy, or an eggs-based sauce that has separated.
  • Food items for blending should be cut into cubes (approximately 2-3cm), this will assist in achieving an even result.
  • Never fill the blender jug above the maximum level indicated.
  • To ensure efficient mixing when blending dry mixtures, it may be necessary to stop the blender and push ingredients down the sides of the jug with a spatula.
  • When pureeing fruit or vegetable, cooked or raw, cut into small pieces to facilitate blending.
  • When blending a variety of ingredients together, blend the liquids, first, then add dry ingredients.
  • Always ensure stones are removed from fruit and bones from meat as these can harm the blades.
  • Do not process hot liquids in your blender. Allows to cool before processing.

Always ventilate the blender jug when pureeing warm ingredients. This is achieved by lifting the ingredient cup out of the lid, after starting the blender.
