Frequently Asked Questions - SC-122953 Emerio

What does the error code 'Er1' mean?
Error 'Er1' indicates low water level. The water level is below the 'MIN' mark. Add water so that it fills between the 'MIN' and 'MAX' lines before plugging in again.
How do I descale the sous-vide circulator?
To descale, lock the appliance onto a container, fill water to the 'MAX' level, set temperature to 80°C, add 1/4 cup of citric acid powder per gallon of water, circulate for 20 minutes after reaching temperature, then turn off, cool, rinse with cold water, and dry.
Can I use the appliance without a vacuum bag?
No, food must be vacuum-packed in special heat-resistant bags or sealed in jars to ensure proper sous-vide cooking. The appliance should not come into direct contact with food.
What is the maximum water level?
The maximum water level is indicated by the 'MAX' line on the appliance. Do not fill above this line as the water level will rise when food is added.
How do I set the timer?
Press the key with the timer icon until it flashes, then use the '+' or '-' keys to adjust the time from 00:00 to 99 hours and 59 minutes. Each press changes by 1 minute. Long press for continuous change.
Why is the appliance not heating?
Check that the water level is between 'MIN' and 'MAX'. If the error 'Er2' appears, the appliance may be overheating. Allow it to cool and ensure sufficient water. Also verify the power cord is properly connected.
Can I leave the appliance unattended?
Yes, the appliance is designed for safe unattended use with automatic shut-off if water is too low or overheating occurs. However, always follow safety instructions and do not cover the appliance.
What containers can I use with this circulator?
Use a heat-resistant container (e.g., stainless steel or plastic) that can withstand high temperatures. The container edge must be above the 'MAX' line on the appliance to secure the clamp.
How do I clean the appliance after use?
Unplug and allow to cool. Wipe the entire appliance with a damp cloth. For greasy immersed parts, circulate water at 65°C with dishwashing liquid for 10 minutes, then rinse and dry.
What is the default temperature and timer after power loss?
If the appliance is unplugged, it will reset to default temperature 50.0°C and timer 03:00. If only switched off but still plugged in, it remembers the last settings.
