Information for these operating instructions
These operating instructions are a component of the LED magnifi cation lamp LLL 72 A1 (subsequently referred to as the device) and supplies you with important information for intended use, safety, connection as well as operation of the device.
The operating instructions must be constantly kept available close to the device. They are to be read and applied by anyone assigned to the operation and troubleshooting of the device.
Keep these operating instructions and hand them over with the device to any future owners.

Intended use
This device can be used as a desktop lamp. With the aid of the built-in magnifying glass the lamp can also be used as a magnifi cation lamp. This device is not intended for commercial use.
This device is not intended for any other use or for uses beyond those mentioned. Claims of any kind for damage resulting from unintended use will not be excepted. The operator alone bears liability.

Safety
In this section you receive important safety information regarding handling of the device. This device complies with the statutory safety regulations. Improper use can lead to personal injury and property damage.
Basic Safety Instructions
For safe handling of the device observe the following safety information:
Before use check the device for visible external damage. Do not operate a damaged device. There is a risk of electric shock.
■ Only allow authorised specialists or the customer service department to carry out repairs to the device. Improper repairs can result in significant danger for the user. In addition warranty claims become void.
To avoid risks have damaged mains power cables exchanged by an authorised technician or by the customer service department.
■ Never use the lamp with a defective connection cable. There is a risk of electric shock.
Do not use extension cables or multiple sockets that do not comply with the necessary safety regulations.
The mains wall socket must be easily accessible so that, in an emergency, the power cable can be quickly disconnected.
This device is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiencies in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction on how the device is to be used.
■ Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
Do not use any optical instrument such as, for example, a magnifying glass to look directly into the light beam. There is a risk of eye damage.
Setting up and connecting to the power supply
Package contents and transport inspection
The device is delivered with the following components as standard:

NOTICE
Check the contents to make sure everything is there and for visible damage.
In the event of incomplete supply or damage caused by defective packaging or through transportation contact the Service-Hotline (see section Service).
Unpacking
Remove the device and the operating instructions from the carton.
Remove all packing material.
WARNING
Packaging materials must not be used as children's playthings. There is a risk of suffocation.
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the device from transport damage. The packaging materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.

The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and reduces generated waste. Dispose of packaging materials that are no longer needed according to the regionally established regulations.
NOTICE
If possible retain the device's original packaging during the warranty period so that, in the event of a warranty claim, the device can be properly packaged for return.

Electrical connection
IMPORTANT
Before connection of the device compare the connection data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with that of your electric power circuit. This data must be compatible in order to avoid damage to the device.
▶ Make sure that the device's mains power cable 4 is undamaged and is not laying over hot surfaces and/or sharp edges.
Make sure that the mains power cable 4 is not tightly stretched or kinked.
Do not allow the mains power cable 4 to hang over corners (tripwire effect).
◆ Insert the plug into the mains power socket.

Handling and operation
In this section you receive important information regarding handling and operation of the device.
Switching On and Off
Switch the on/off switch⑥ to the position "I" to switch the magnifi cation lamp on.
Switch the on/off switch 6 to the position "0" to switch the magnification lamp off.
Adjusting the magnifi cation lamp
Remove the allen key on the bottom of the pedestal 5.
- Loosen the allen head screw at the joint ③ of the pedestal ⑤ and adjust the tilt of the swivel arm as required.
◆ Retighten the allen head screw to fasten the swivel arm.
Reattach the allen key to the bottom of the pedestal 5.
Adjust the tilt of the lampshade with the aid of the universal joint 2.
Using the magnifying glass
Open the magnifying glasses lid by pulling on the strap
Look through the magnifying glass from above to see small objects enlarged under the lampshade. Change the distance between the magnifying glass and the object to adjust the focus.
When you no longer require the magnifying glass close the lid again.
Troubleshooting
Malfunction causes and remedies
The following table will assist with localisation and remedying of minor malfunctions:

If you cannot solve the problem with the aforementioned methods please contact customer service.
Cleaning
DANGER
Risk of fatal electrical shock!
Remove the plug from the mains power socket before you start cleaning. ▶ Make sure that no moisture gets inside the device during cleaning. ▶
IMPORTANT
Possible damage to the device.
Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents since these could affect the housing surfaces.
Clean the housing of the device with a lightly moistened cloth and a mild detergent.
Maintenance
The device's lamp comprises of long life LEDs. These are not replaceable and must not be serviced.
Disposal

Under no circumstances should you throw the device away with the normal household waste. This product is subject to the European directive 2002/96/EC (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the device via an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

Warranty
For this device you receive a 3 year warranty from the purchase date. The device was meticulously produced and scrupulously checked before delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a warranty claim, please get in touch, by telephone, with our service department. Only in this way can a post-free dispatch for your goods be assured.
NOTICE
Warranty adjustments apply only to material or manufacturing defects not for transport damage, wear and tear or for damage to breakable parts such as lamps or switches.
This product is for private use only and is not intended for commercial use. If this product has been subjected to improper or inappropriate handling, abuse, or modifications not carried out by one of our authorised service centres, the warranty will be considered void.
Your legal rights are not restricted by this warranty. The warranty does not extend the warranty period. This applies also to replacement and repaired parts.
Possible damage and defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking or at the latest two days after the purchase date.
After expiration of the warranty period incidental repairs are subject to payment.
