After unpacking the product and before each use, check whether the product exhibits any damages.
If this is the case, do not use the product, but instead please inform your vendor.

It is only suitable for outdoor use and is only intended for private application.
Only use the product as described in this operating instructions. Any other use is deemed improper and may result in damage to property or even injury to persons.

Points to observe when handling the unit.
Safety notes
Danger Fire hazard!
The smouldering charcoal and parts of the grill become very hot when in use and can cause fires.
- In general, you should have a fire extinguisher and first aid kit on hand and be prepared for an accident or fire.
- Place the barbecue on an even, level, secure, heat-resistant, and clean surface.
- Set up the grill so that it is at least 1 m away from flammable materials such as awnings, wood terraces or furniture.
- Do not move the grill when in use.
- Only light charcoal in an area that is out of the wind.
- Fill the grill with no more than 0.9 kg charcoal/charcoal briquettes.
- Some food produces flammable fats and juices. Clean the grill regularly, ideally every time after using it.
- Only dispose of the ashes once the charcoal has burned down completely and has cooled off.
Danger Burn hazard and danger of accident!!
This device is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with impaired physical, sensory or mental abilities or who lack experience and/or knowledge.
- Advise this group of persons of the dangers associated with the device and have them supervised by a person responsible for their safety.
- Any changes to the product pose a considerable risk to safety and are prohibited. Do not tamper with the device if this is not permitted. In the event of damages, repairs or other problems with the grill, please consult our service centre or a local professional with appropriate qualifications.
Keep children and pets away from the device.
The barbecue, the charcoal it contains, and the food to be grilled become very hot when used such that any contact may result in severe burns.
- Maintain adequate distance to hot parts as any contact may result in very severe burns.
- Always wear barbecue and kitchen gloves when grilling.
- Only use long-stemmed grilling tools with heat-resistant handles.
- Do not wear any clothing with baggy arms.
- Only use dry firestarters or special liquid firestarters in accordance with EN 1860-3 to light the grill.
- Allow the grill to cool off completely before cleaning and/or stowing it.

Danger Deflagration hazard!

Flammable liquids, which are poured onto the smouldering coals, result in darting flames or deflagration.
Never use flammable liquids such as petrol or ethyl alcohol.
Do not place any pieces of charcoal soaked in firestarter liq-uid on the hot coals.
Danger Danger of poisoning!

Carbon monoxide is produced when burning coal, barbecue briquettes etc. This gas is odourless and can be fatal in enclosed rooms!
Only use the grill outdoors. –
Danger Dangers for children!

Children can become trapped in the packing film when playing and suffocate.
Do not allow children to play with the packing film. -
Make sure that children do not put small assembly parts in - their mouth; they could swallow them and choke.
Danger Risk of injury

Some areas of the grill and individual parts have sharp edges.
Handle the individual parts of the grill will care to prevent accidents and/or injury when assembling and using the grill. If necessary, wear protective gloves.
Do not set up the grill close to entrances or highly frequented - areas.
Always be very careful when grilling. If you are distracted, you – may lose control of the device.
Always be attentive and pay attention to what you are doing. Do not use the product if you are not concentrated or tired and/or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Even a single moment of inattentiveness when using the product may result in serious injury.
Assembling the grill
1. See Fig. 1 and 2:
Unscrew the screws from the top end of the legs (b) and also remove the washers. Mount the 3 legs (b) with the screws and washers on the fire trough (a).
2. See Fig. 3:
Important: During mounting the brackets (c) make sure that the screw head is located inside the fire trough. Otherwise, you will not be able to properly insert the charcoal sheet (e).
Using the screws (1) and nuts (2), mount the brackets (c) and the grill rack supports (d) on the fire trough (a). Use a size 5.5 open-ended/socket wrench or pliers to hold the nuts in place.

Insert the charcoal sheet (e).

Mount the handles (g) on the grill rack (f) and set the grill rack in place. Make sure that the grill rack is properly positioned on the 3 grill supports (d).
5. See Fig. 6:
Mount the handle (h) on the lid (i) using the screw (3b) / washer (3a).
6. See Fig. 7:
Mount the air flow slider (j) on the lid (i) using the screw (4) and the nut (5). You can use a size-8 wrench/socket wrench or pliers to hold the nut.
7. See Fig. 8:
If necessary, put on the lid (i).
You can secure the lid on the fire trough (a) using the brackets (c) when transporting the grill.

Preparation
Danger Risk of injury!

Failure to observe the instructions may result in problems and risks when using the grill.
—Always follow all assembly instructions provided.
- First completely read through the assembly instructions.
- If necessary, have another person assist you.
- Take enough time for the assembly and clear a work area of two to three square meters.
- Lay out any required tools so that they are within reach. Small parts such as handles may come preassembled.
Required tools
1 x cross-slotted screwdriver
1 x size 5.5 open-ended/socket wrench for the M3 nuts
1x size 8 open-ended/socket wrench for the M5 nuts
You can also use pliers instead of a wrench to hold the nuts in place.
Setting up the grill
Attention Risk of damage!

Any screwed connections may gradually loosen during use and affect the stability of the grill.
Before use, always check that the screws are secure. If necessary, tighten all screws again in order to ensure that the grill has a stable position.
- Before use, place the grill on a level, solid base located outdoors.
Before grilling
Before first use, rinse off the grill rack with warm scouring water.

Only use dry firestarters or special liquid firestarters in accordance with EN 1860-3 to light the grill.
Remove the grill rack 1. (f).
-
Place 3–4 solid firestarter blocks on the charcoal sheet (e). Observe the manufacturer notes on the packaging. Light the firefighters with a match.

Spread no more than 0.9 kg of charcoal or briquettes around the firestarters.
-
The grill requires about 30 min to heat up before being used for the first time.
-
As soon as the charcoal has burned through, spread it evenly on the charcoal sheet. Use a suitable fireproof tool with a long, fireproof handle for this.

Set the grill rack (f) in place. Make sure that it is properly positioned on all 3 grill rack supports (d).
-
Only place the food on the grill once the charcoal has a layer of ash.
-
If you want to grill with the lid (i) on, first remove the handle (g) from the grill rack (f) before doing so. Otherwise the lid won't close properly (see Figure 9).
You can open the air flow slider (j) to release any fumes (see Fig. 10).
Maintenance and cleaning
Your grill is made of high-quality materials. Please observe the following notes in order to clean and maintain the surfaces:

Allow the grill to cool off completely before cleaning it.
- Dispose of the ashes once the charcoal has burned down completely and is out.
Danger Health hazard!

Do not use any dye solvents or thinners to remove stains. They are hazardous to health and must not
come in contact with food.
Attention Risk of damage!

Do not use any strong or abrasive solvents or scouring pads as they may attack and scratch the surfaces.
- Let the charcoal burn down after grilling. This helps reduce the amount of cleaning required by burning off excess fat and residues from grilling.
• Empty any cold ashes and clean the grill regularly, ideally every time after you use it. - Remove the grill rack and clean it thoroughly with scouring water. Then dry it thoroughly.
- Remove any loose deposits on the grill using a wet sponge.
- Use a soft, clean cloth for drying. Do not scratch the surface by rubbing it in a dry state.
- Clean the inside and outside of the grill with warm soap water.
- Regularly tighten all screws before using the grill to ensure that the grill has a stable position.
Disposal

The packaging is made of energy-efficient materials that you can dispose of at local recycling depots.

Do not in any case dispose of the grill in normal household garbage! Dispose of it at an authorised waste disposal company or the waste disposal facility in your
community. Observe all regulations currently in force. In the event of doubt, please contact your local waste disposal facility.

You have purchased a high-quality grill. TEPRO GARTEN GmbH offers a 36 (thirty six) month warranty on its grills and all parts covering defects and manufacturing errors for normal, private and non-commercial use from the purchase date.
The warranty does not cover any wearable parts such as grill racks. The buyer is charged for all other costs including labour, transport, shipping and packaging.
The distributor reserves the right to choose between assuming any incurred costs itself or charging the buyer for them.
This warranty does not cover failure or user difficulties brought about by wilful damage, abuse, modification, improper or careless use, wear, incorrect assembly or improper maintenance.
