Safety notes
Danger of Explosion!

Leaking gas may form a highly explosive air/gas mixture that could cause a fire or explosion and could e-threatening injuries or death.
s- In general, you should have a fire extinguisher and first aid kit on hand and be prepared for an accident or fire.
- Do not use the grill if there is a gas leak.
- Do not in any case use an open flame to check for a gas leak. Make sure that no sparks or open flames can occur when checking for a gas leak.
- Do not loosen any gas connections, the gas hose or the pressure regulator when the lavastone gas grill is being used.
- Only use a hose connection between the device and the gas container, which does not exceed the recommended length of 1.5 m.
- In the event of a leak, turn off the grill, extinguish all open flames and open the lid. If the leak is persisting, check the device for damages, loose connections etc. Ask your local gas dealer if you are unable to solve the problem.
- Always check to make sure that the gas line has no leaks after connecting it. Use soap water for this (see section "Checking for gas leaks").
- Make sure that the gas hose has been firmly mounted and that the hose connection is always accessible along its entire length.
- Do not use any denatured alcohol, petrol or similar liquids to light or relight the grill.
- Do not store or use any petrol, denatured alcohol or other flammable gases or liquids in the grill's vicinity if it is in use.
- Never leave the gas container connected with the pressure
GB IE
regulator when it is disconnected from the gas hose.
- Making any changes to the product poses a considerable risk to safety and is prohibited. Do not tamper with the grill regulators, the gas connections, nozzles, valves etc. In the event of damage, repairs or other problems with the lavastone gas grill, please consult the service centre or a technician from your local gas dealer.
Danger Risk of fire/explosion/poisoning!
Defective gas containers or improper handling of gas containers may lead to fires or explosions which may cause life-threatening injuries or death. Leaked gas may lead to poisoning.
- An indented or rusty gas container may be dangerous and must be replaced. Do not use a gas canister with a defective bottle valve.
- Read and follow the operating instructions and safety notes for the gas container.
- Never connect the gas supply with the lavastone gas grill without a suitable pressure regulator.

Insert the 4 end caps (7) in the open profile ends of the support legs. If necessary, use a rubber mallet for this (see Fig. 4).
-
Mount three wood support boards (8) on each of the level, horizontal sides of the support legs. For this, use the 25 mm long screws from the screw bag (see Fig. 5). The wood support boards are made of farmed wood with high natural resistance against the influence of weather. Furthermore, they have been stained. However, as this is a natural product, there may be slight variations in colour in their final state.
-
Screw tighten the two supports (9) onto the support legs using 8 screws 6x35 mm, lock washers and nuts. You can find the assembly materials in the screw bag Ⓐ (see Fig. 6).
-
Insert the fitting (11) through the two larger holes on the front panel (10) from the back. Make sure that the round pin of the fitting is properly positioned in the hole between the two temperature controls (see Fig. 7).
Screw tighten the fitting onto the front panel with the cross-head screw 6x12 mm from the screw bag Ⓓ.
Insert the Piezo lighter (12) into the hole to the right of the fitting and screw it to the front panel from behind with the large speed nut (see Fig. 7).

- Screw the two lid hinges (17) onto the back side of the grill pan with the screws, lock washers and nuts from the screw bag Ⓔ (see Fig. 11).
Place the lid (16) on the grill pan and screw the other side of the lid hinges into the holes on the back side of the lid. Also use the screws, lock washers and nuts from the screw bag ⑤ for this (see Fig. 11). - Insert the screw from the screw bag © into the lid handle (18), then through the heat-resistant washer (19) and through the hole in the lid. Tighten the screw in place using a lock washer and nut from the screw bag © (see Fig. 12).
- Push the four window holders (21) onto the corners of the viewing window (20). The clamps of the window holders must be located on the bottom side of the viewing window.
Place the entire viewing window on the recess in the opened lid and carefully bend out the clamps of the window holders in the corners of the holders (see Fig. 13).
Attention
Never use the grill if the pane is damaged or not in place.
- When assembling the grill, make sure that the window is properly and securely seated. If this is not the case, do not in any case continue to work, instead repeat the above step and correct the seating of the window.
-
Run the fat container holder (22) through the rear, intermediate hole of the grill pan (see Fig. 14).
-
Remove the 4 tapping screws from the feet of the burner (23). In the process, hold the burner feet in place using pliers to prevent them from bending or being torn off. Then insert the burner (23), with the pipes down, from above through the opening in the pan (see Fig. 15).
Attention: The nozzles on the fitting must extend into the pipe ends of the burner.
The pipe ends are open above the nozzles. This gap is desired!
- Screw the 4 feet of the burner to the grill pan using the previously removed tapping screws (see Fig. 16).
Insert the cable of the lighter box down through the pan, using the shortest route, and to the front. Attach the cable to the Piezo lighter (12) from the back.
GB IE
Clamp oil cup (22a) into the holder. When grilling, excess fat will accumulate in the grill base and run into the tin.
- Place the black painted lavastone grate (24) on the bottom holders in the pan. Distribute the lavastones (25) evenly, in one layer on the lavastone grate. For best results when grilling, approximately 70–80 % of the grate should be covered.
Place the grill rack (26) on the top holders in the grill pan (see Fig. 17).
- Clamp the warming grate (27) into the holes on the lid and in the grill pan as shown in Fig. 18.
Mounting the gas hose
