We congratulate you on the purchase of your new device. You have chosen a high quality product. Please make

yourself familiar with the shiatsu massage cushion before preparing it for use or using it for the first time. Please read the following operating instructions and the important safety instructions carefully. Use the shiatsu massage cushion only as described and for the indicated purposes. Keep these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the shiatsu massage cushion on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation.

Intendeduse

This shiatsu massage cushion is intended for massaging the human body. It can be used to massage to specific areas of the body. The shiatsu massage cushion is only for private use; it is not intended for medical or commercial purposes and is no substitute for medical treatment. In particular it must not be used to massage babies, infants, helpless persons, or animals. The shiatsu massage cushion is only suitable for use in dry indoor locations. Any other form of use or any modifications to the shiatsu massage cushion are not permitted and may result in injury and/or damage to the cushion. The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage caused by improper use. The shiatsu massage cushion is not intended to be used for commercial purposes.

The following safety and hazard information is intended not only to protect your health and the health of others, but also protect the shiatsu massage cushion. Observe this safety advice. If you pass the shiatsu massage cushion on to anyone else, please pass on these operation instructions as well.

SMALL CHILDREN! Never leave children unattended with the packaging material. Danger of suffocation.

WARNING! DANGER OF ELECTRIC

SHOCK! Ensure that the shiatsu massage cushion, switch, mains adapter and lead do

not come into contact with water, steam or other liquids. Use the shiatsu massage cushion only in dry indoor environments (e.g. never in the bath, sauna). If a shiatsu massage cushion falls into water, do not attempt to pick it up. Pull the mains adapter out of the mains socket immediately. There is a risk of electric shock.

Do not use the mains power cable

for purposes for which it was not intended, e.g. for hanging up the shiatsu massage cushion, carrying it or to pull the plug out of the mains socket. Do not allow the lead to become trapped, kinked or twisted. Keep the shiatsu massage cushion and mains power cable away from heat, oil and sharp edges. If the mains power cable is damaged or severed, do not touch the mains power cable, but pull the mains plug out of the mains socket immediately. Damaged or tangled mains power cables increase the risk of electric shock.

SHOCK! Do not insert needles or pointed objects into the shiatsu mas-on. There is a risk of electric shock.

■ Operate the shiatsu massage cushion:

- only with the supplied mains adapter and at the mains voltage indicated on the mains adapter and,

- never operate it during a thunderstorm.

WARNING! DANGER OF ELECTRIC

SHOCK AND INJURY! Do not subject the shiatsu massage cushion to shock and do not drop it. Before every use, check the shiatsu massage cushion carefully for signs of wear and/or damage. Do not use it if you see signs of wear and tear or damage or if the shiatsu massage cushion has been used incorrectly and switch it off immediately in case of defects or malfunction. In this case, return it to the dealer before using it again. There is a danger of electric shock and injury.

FIRE HAZARD! Do not cover the

shiatsu massage cushion during use (cushions, covers etc.). Never use

the shiatsu massage cushion near petrol or other readily flammable substances.

■ Ask your doctor and, if relevant, the

manufacturer of your heart pacemaker before you use this shiatsu

massage cushion. Under certain circumstances, the electrical and magnetic fields emitted from the shiatsu massage cushion could interfere with the proper functioning of your heart pacemaker. However, the parameters of the fields do not exceed the permitted limits.

WARNING! Do not use the shiatsu massage

cushion for massaging around the heart if you have a heart pacemaker. Otherwise there is a danger to life!

Children or persons lacking knowledge or experience in handling the

shiatsu massage cushion or with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities must not use the cushion without supervision or instruction by a person responsible for their safety. Children

must never be allowed to play with the shiatsu massage cushion. Risk of injury.

CAUTION! INJURY HAZARD!

Do not use this shiatsu massage cushion on helpless people, on children, or people who are insensitive to heat (e.g. diabetics, people whose skin is affected by illness or who have scarred skin in the area where the heat will be applied) or animals. Do not use the shiatsu massage cushion during pregnancy, after taking painkilling medication or alcohol. Risk of injury.

Take care that you do not fall asleep

while the shiatsu massage cushion is in operation. There is a risk of receiving skin burns. Do not use the shiatsu massage cushion while driving.

RISK OF BURNS! The surface of the device becomes hot during operation. People who are insensitive

to heat must be careful while using the device. There is a risk of receiving skin burns.

Do not use the shiatsu massage cushion on swollen, burned, inflamed, diseased or injured parts or regions of the body or areas of skin. Risk of injury. If you are in doubt, seek medical advice before using the device, in particular:

• if you suffer from a serious illness or have had an operation on the upper part of your body,
• if you have a heart pacemaker, implant or other medical device,
• if you are suffering from thrombosis,
• if you suffer from pains with an undiagnosed cause.

Ensure that your fingers or other body parts do not get themselves between the rotating massage heads 4.

The shiatsu massage cushion must not be used on the face (e.g. eyes), on the larynx, the feet or other sensitive body parts. Risk of injury.
■ Repairs may only carried out only by qualified specialist personnel or in a workshop approved by the manufacturer. Unsatisfactory repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user.

■ Do not open the zip fastener on the

shiatsu massage cushion. It is provided for reasons connected with the manufacturing process only.

Note: The shiatsu massage cushion may give off an odour of plastic on first use. This odour will cease to develop after a short while.

Note: Use the shiatsu massage device for a maximum of 15 minutes. Longer use may lead to over-stimulation and hence tension in the muscles.

☐ Insert the connector plug into the socket in the massage device. Position the lead to avoid creating a trip hazard.

☐ If necessary pull the cover 5 over the shiatsu massage cushion.

Note: The shiatsu massage device can be used with or without a cover 5.

☐ Position the shiatsu massage cushion on the place you would like to have massaged e.g.:

• upper back (see fig. C)

- lower back (see fig. D)

- legs (see fig. E).

☐ Switch on the shiatsu massage cushion with the On/Off switch 1.

☐ Move the On / Off switch 1 up or down to set the massage direction of the Shiatsu-heads: Up for anti-clockwise rotation and down for clockwise rotation.

☐ You can switch the light and heat function on or off with the light and heat switch 3.

The light and heat switch 3 can be activated during the massage operation as well as when the cushion is switched off. However, the illumination and heating function is only available during the massage operation.

Note: Two of the massage heads 4 are heated and illuminated during use.

☐ Press the body part carefully against the shiatsu massage cushion and gradually shift you weight towards the device.

Note: Do not lie, sit and stand with your full weight on the moving parts of the shiatsu massage cushion and do not place any objects on the cushion.

Note: Ensure that you are experiencing the massage as pleasant and relaxing. If necessary, vary the pressure and / or your position. Stop the massage at once if it is painful or unpleasant.

■ Clean the shiatsu massage cushion only in the manner indicated. Under no circumstances must any liquid be allowed to enter the shiatsu massage cushion or the accessories.

Clean the cover 5 in accordance with the cleaning symbols on the label. It is machine-washable. Set the washing machine to a delicate wash cycle at 30 °C.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn out shiatsu massage cushion.

We provide a 3-year warranty covering faults in materials or manufacture of the shiatsu massage cushion from the purchase date.

The warranty does not cover:

• Damage resulting from improper use.
- For wear parts.
- For defects that were known to the customer at the time of purchase.
- Damage for which the customer was responsible.

This warranty does not affect the customer's legal rights.

The customer must provide proof of purchase in order for any warranty claims within the warranty period to be honoured. Claims under the warranty are honoured by

for a period of 3 years after the date of purchase.

In the event of a warranty claim, the customer has the right to have the goods repaired by our own workshop or a workshop authorised by us. The shiatsu massage cushion must not be opened for any reason. Opening or modifying the cushion invalidates the warranty. This warranty does not grant any additional rights to the customer. Complaints are often initiated by difficulties encountered during use. Many of these complaints can be resolved by telephone or email. Please contact our Service Hotline in the first instance, before you return the shiatsu massage cushion to the manufacturer.
