How to charge the battery?

Plug the supplied charger (model DK20C-260060H-V) into a wall outlet. The charging indicator flashes blue while charging and becomes solid blue when fully charged. Charging time is 3 to 4 hours.

What accessories are included with the VCP 3830?

The vacuum comes with an electric turbo brush, 2-in-1 brushes, a crevice tool, and a metal tube.

How to clean the EPA E12 filter?

Remove the filter by pressing the designated button. Gently clean it with a soft brush or tap it to remove dust. Avoid water. Replace the filter every 3 to 6 months depending on usage.

Can I use the vacuum on wet floors?

No, the vacuum is not designed for wet surfaces. Never use it on liquids or wet objects to avoid electric shock risk.

How to empty the dust bin?

Press the waste bin release button located on the vacuum body to release the bin. Empty it over a trash can and replace it by clipping it until it clicks.

What to do if the vacuum does not turn on?

First, check if the battery is charged. If the indicator flashes red, the battery is low. Recharge it. If the problem persists, contact an authorized after-sales service.

Is it possible to replace the battery myself?

The battery is removable, but replacement must be done by a qualified person. Use only batteries of model ZB1852 or ZB1852-01.

Can the vacuum pick up ashes or cigarette butts?

No, never use the vacuum to pick up hot ashes, cigarette butts, or matches, as this could cause a fire.

■ Clean the filter when necessary.

■ Only use original GRUNDIG accessories when replacing parts.

■ Check if the mains voltage on the rating label corresponds to your local mains supply.

■ Always pull out the power cord after the charging process, before cleaning or carrying out any maintenance on the appliance or the charging unit.

■ Avoid using extension cables or multipoint connectors. Plug the appliance directly in a wall socket if possible.

The elbow and flexible hose are extension tools, one end is inserted into the suction port, the other end is connected with the accessories, which can clean corners or narrow spaces

While charging the battery on the charging dock the charge indicator flashes blue.

Note

■ Recharge and discharge the battery every 3 months when the product shall not be used for a long period of time.

- Do not place the battery on the charging base for a very long time, if it is still charging(Blinking light blue) beyond the normal charging time (3-4 hour), stop it immediately. Otherwise, the battery may cause heating, deformation or burning hazard. It's not needed to remove charger after charging completed (no lights on charging indicator).

■ When the battery is not in use for a long time or it is over-discharged, you may find the working time is reduced at the first few times. We recommend you fully charge the battery (usually 3-4 hours) and discharge it. Repeat this action two times.

EPA E12 Filter

In order to ensure the performance of the product, we recommend you clean regularly, and replace one after 3-6 months. (Depending on usage)

Warning

- Long-term no use, please keep the battery intact, stored in a cool dry place, and let the battery in the semi-state of charge. Not full or empty. Please enclose the battery with non-conductive material to avoid the metal touching the battery directly, causing the battery to be damaged.

Cleaning and care

Switch off and unplug the appliance, before cleaning it.

Warning

■ Never use gasoline, solvent, abrasive cleaning agents, metal objects or hard brushes to clean the appliance.

Storage

If you do not intend to use the appliance for a long time, store it carefully.

■ Unplug the appliance.

- Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.

Handling and transportation

■ During handling and transportation, carry the appliance in its original packaging. The packaging of the appliance protects it against physical damages.

- Do not place heavy loads on the appliance or on the packaging. The appliance may get damaged.

■ Dropping the appliance may render it non-operational or cause permanent damage.

This symbol on rechargeable batteries/batteries or on the packaging indicates that the rechargeable battery/battery may not be disposed of with regular house hold rubbish. For certain rechargeable batteries/batteries, this symbol may be supplemented by a chemical symbol.
