How to charge my device with the SQWC A1?

Plug the USB adapter (not included) into the charger, then place the mobile device on the Qi charging area centering its back. The LED lights up blue to indicate charging.

What does the green LED indicator mean?

A green indicator means the device battery is fully charged.

Why is my device not charging?

Check that your device is Qi compatible, that it is properly centered on the charging area and that no metal objects are interfering. Also remove any thick case.

What to do if the LED flashes blue?

A blue flashing indicates a fault condition. Unplug immediately, check for any foreign objects, then let it cool down before trying again.

Can I use a protective case?

Thin cases (< 5 mm) without metal parts may work. If the charger does not detect the device, remove the case and try again.

Which power adapter to use?

Use a USB adapter with output 5 V / 2 A or 9 V / 1.7 A to benefit from 10 W fast charging. Never use a PC or laptop.

Does the charger heat up normally?

Slight heat is normal. If the charger becomes very hot, unplug it and let it cool down. Avoid covering it during use.

How to clean the SQWC A1?

Unplug the charger and wipe it with a slightly damp cloth and a little mild dish soap. Do not use abrasive products or solvents.

Is the SQWC A1 compatible with iPhones?

Yes, all iPhones from model 8 (and later) support Qi charging and are compatible.

What to do if the LED flashes blue and green?

This indicates an overvoltage. Unplug immediately and check that the USB adapter is suitable (5 V/2 A or 9 V/1.7 A). Replace the adapter if necessary.

information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.

The WIRELESS QI CHARGER (hereinafter referred to as the „Product“) is an information electronics device. This product is only for charging mobile devices that use Qi technology. Other devices cannot be charged with the product. The product is intended for private use only and not for commercial use. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage resulting from unauthorised modifications or improper use.

Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. The packaging material poses a suffocation hazard. Children frequently underestimate the dangers. The packaging material is not a toy.

This product may be used by children age 8 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or lacking experience and/or knowledge, so long as they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the product and understand the associated risks. Do not allow children to play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision. The product is not a toy.

ATTENTION! Damage to property

- Check the product before every use! Discontinue use if any damage to the product or the connection cable is detected!

This product does not contain any parts which can be serviced by the user.

- Keep the product away from moisture, dripping and splash water!

- Do not place burning candles or other open fire on or next to the product.

If you notice smoke or unusual noise or odour, immediately disconnect the USB connection.

■ Sudden temperature changes may cause condensation inside the product. In this case, allow the product to acclimate for some time before using it again to prevent short circuits!

- Do not operate the product near heat sources, e.g. radiators or other devices emitting heat!

- Do not throw the product into fire and do not expose to high temperatures.

■ Never open the product. It has no internal parts requiring maintenance.

The product must not be covered during operation, no foreign objects may be introduced into the product, no foreign objects may lie on the Qi charging surface during operation.

The product should never be charged at a PC or notebook, because due to the high power consumption, the PC or notebook could be damaged.

ATTENTION! Radio interference

- Do not use the product on aeroplanes, in hospitals, service rooms, or near medical electronic systems. The wireless signals transmitted could impact the functionality of sensitive electronics.

- Keep the product at least 20 cm from pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defibrillators, as the electromagnetic radiation may impair the functionality of pacemakers.

■ The radio waves transmitted could cause interference in hearing aids.

- Never use the product near flammable gases or potentially explosives areas (e.g. paint shops), as the radio waves emitted can cause explosions and fire.

The OWIM GmbH & Co KG is not responsible for interference with radios or televisions due to unauthorised modification of the product. The OWIM GmbH & Co KG further assumes no liability for using or replacing cables and products not distributed by OWIM.

NOTE:

Before use, verify the package contents are complete and undamaged!

All parts have to be unpacked and the packaging material has to be removed completely.

Operation

ATTENTION! The product must not be charged from a PC or notebook.

NOTE:

The product only supports devices with Qi wireless technology.

Charge your device

1. Plug the USB plug 3 into the USB port on a suitable USB adapter (not included).

1. Plug the USB adapter (not included) into an easily accessible mains socket.

1. Place the mobile device on the Qi charging surface. Make sure the center of the device is aligned over the center of the Qi charging surface 2. Charging will begin on contact. The LED 1 lights up blue when charging is active.

Protective covers that protect the mobile device may interfere with the charging process. In this case, the mobile device must be removed from the protective cover.

NOTE:

The user may not see LED during the charging process depending on the used mobile device.

●Troubleshooting

What should I do if the LED indicator of the product is not lit during starting process (Boot phase)?

• Check the USB cable connection between US adapter (not included) and the product. The USB cable must be firmly connected.
• Check the connection between the mains sock and the USB adapter (not included).
  Alternatively, the user must try another mains socket.

What should I do if the mobile device does not get charging ?

• Check that the mobile device have Qi wireless charging technology.
• Check the mobile device is placed horizontally on the center position of the charging pad.
• Check that no foreign object blocking the charging.
• Check whether the mobile device is removed from the protective cover.

What should I do if the LED indicator flashes Blue and Green alternatively?

This indicates input overvoltage occurred.
■ Disconnect the USB connection immediately.
- Check if you use a suitable USB adapter.
■ Alternatively, the user must try another USB adapter.

What should I do if the LED indicator flashes blue?

This indicates a fault condition occurred.
■ Disconnect the USB connection immediately.
- Check that no foreign object blocking the charging.
- Let the product cool down for a while and try to use it again.

●Storage when not in use

Store the product in a dry environment, protected from dust and direct sunlight.

●Cleaning

☐ This product has no internal parts requiring maintenance. Moisture entering the product may result in damage.
☐ Ensure no moisture enters the product during cleaning to prevent damaging the product beyond repair.
☐ Do not use abrasive, solvent-based or aggressive cleaners. These can damage the surface of the product.
☐ Only clean the product with a slightly damp cloth and mild washing-up liquid.

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you.

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.
