1. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION (Fig 1)

2. SAFETY WARNINGS

  • Prior to using this appliance, read this instruction booklet carefully and keep it in a safe place for future reference. In this way alone will you get the best results and maximum level of safety during usage.
  • Before using the appliance, check that the voltage of your home mains matches that given on the plate located on the base of the boiler.
  • In the event of incompatibility between the power point and the appliance's plug, replace the socket with a suitable one using a qualified professional to do so.
  • The appliance's electrical safety is guaranteed only when it is connected to a system with an efficient earth. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for damages arising from the system lacking an earth connection. In the event of doubt, consult a qualified professional.
  • After removing the packaging, check that the appliance is in perfect condition. In the event of doubt, consult the authorised Technical Support Services nearest to you.
  • Items of packaging (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, etc.) must not be left within the reach of children because they are potential sources of danger.
  • You are advised against using adaptors, multiple sockets and/or extensions. In

the event that using these items were strictly necessary, only those complying with current safety standards must be used and attention should be paid to not exceed the power limit indicated on the adaptor.

  • This appliance must be used only in the home. Any other use will be considered inappropriate or dangerous.
  • The manufacturer will not be responsible for damage which may arise from inappropriate, wrong or unsuitable use, or from repairs carried out by unqualified staff.

Using any electrical appliance requires some basic rules to be observed. In particular:

  • Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands or feet.
  • Do not use the appliance in damp places or in places which are used as a bathroom.
  • People with nervous disorders must not use the appliance unless accompanied by another person.
  • Never pull on the cable to unplug the appliance.
  • Do not leave the appliance switched on because it could be a source of danger.
  • Unplug the appliance and turn off all switches when it is not being used and before doing any cleaning or maintenance work.
  • Should the appliance fail to work and/or not work properly, switch it off and do not try to fix it. Should repairs be needed, consult only authorised Technical Support Services and request that original spare parts be used. If there is no compliance with the above, the appliance's safety will be put in danger.
  • The user must not replace the cable. Should the cable get damaged or need replacing, contact only Technical Support Services authorised by the manufacturer. Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged.
  • Prevent the cable from touching the hot parts of the appliance or hot surfaces.
  • Using this appliance produces high temperatures and, therefore, there

exists a danger of burns when using it. For this reason, you must take hold of the appliance by the handle and avoid coming into contact with the metal parts and steam.

- Do not direct the jet of steam towards people or animals because it is dangerous.

- Do not keep the iron resting on its base while it is still hot. Wait until it cools down.

- Do not leave the appliance with water in a place where the temperature is equal to or less than 0^ C.

- In the event that the heat safety limiter is triggered, the appliance will cease to work normally. To switch it back on, you must consult Technical Support Services authorised by the manufacturer.

- To avoid the danger of the appliance overheating, we recommend completely unwinding the electrical cable.

- Do not submerge the appliance in water or place it under a tap to add water.

- Avoid moving the appliance when it is being used.

- Do not block the ventilation/dissipation grooves. Keep them free of dust and do not insert any object into them.

- The boiler has to be set on a stable, flat, stiff surface which is resistant to high temperatures. The appliance's four feet must rest on the same surface.

- If you decide to not use the appliance ever again, it is advisable to make it unusable by cutting the power cable after unplugging it.

- The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface

- When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.

- The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.

- Keep electrical appliances out of reach from Children or infirm persons. Do not let them use the appliances without supervision.

- The user must not leave the iron unattended while it is connected to the supply.

  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  • The plug of the supply cord must be removed from the socket-outlet before the water reservoir is filled with water
  • The filling aperture must not be opened during use. Instructions for the safe refilling of the water reservoir shall be given.

WARNING:

For your own safety, when you want to iron using steam, before starting to iron, it is necessary to wait until the steam indicator (4) lights up. In the event that this indicator should not light up, do not use the product and contact an authorised after-sales service centre.

3. FILLING THE WATER TANK

  1. Wait until the appliance cools down completely.
  2. Turn off the on/off switch (2) and unplug the appliance.
  3. Remove the plug from the boiler (10). (Fig. 2)
  4. Fill the boiler up to the MAX level using the funnel (11).
  5. Replace the plug.

4. FIRST-TIME USE

  1. Remove all of the protective film or labels from the shoe and boiler if there are any.
  2. Unwind and stretch out the steam tube and mains cable.
  3. Fill the boiler with tap water. (refer to the "Filling the Boiler" section).
  4. Plug the appliance into a suitable power point.
  5. Press the LED on/off switch (2).
  6. Turn on the boiler switch (3).
  7. Adjust the "steam level" to the maximum level by turning the steam-level control (5).
  8. Turn the iron's temperature control (9) in a clockwise direction until the maximum

position. The pilot light (6) will light up.

  1. The “steam ready” LED indicator (4) will light up when it is ready for steam ironing.

  2. The pilot light will turn off when the iron reaches the desired temperature.

  3. The appliance is ready to use.

  4. Press the steam button (8) for a minute to clean out the steam-generating system.

  5. The first time, begin to iron using an old towel.

WARNING: To avoid burns or accidental falls caused by the tube, the appliance has some holders for hooking the cable. These holders are inserted into their respective holes, as shown in figure 3.

5. DRY IRONING

  1. Unwind and stretch out the steam tube and mains cable.

  2. Fill the boiler with tap water (refer to the "Filling the Boiler" section).

  3. Plug the appliance into a suitable power point.

  4. Press the LED on/off switch (2)

  5. Turn on the boiler switch (3)

  6. Turn the iron's temperature control (9) in a clockwise direction, select 1 point, 2 points or 3 points depending on the recommendation made on the garment's label.

  7. The pilot light (6) will turn off when the iron has reached the desired temperature.

  8. The appliance is ready to use.

  9. Turn the iron's temperature control (9) in an anti-clockwise direction until "Min".

  10. Turn off the LED on/off switch (2).

  11. Unplug the mains cable from the power point.

  12. When the appliance has completely cooled down, store it in a safe place.

  13. Unplug the mains cable.

6. STEAM IRONING

  1. Unwind and stretch out the steam tube and mains cable.
  2. Fill the boiler with tap water (refer to the "Filling the Boiler" section).
  3. Plug the appliance into a suitable power point.
  4. Switch it on.
  5. Turn on the boiler switch.
  6. Adjust the "steam level" to the maximum level.
  7. Turn the iron's temperature control in a clockwise direction. Select 1 point, 2 points or 3 points depending on the recommendation made on the garment's label.
  8. The “steam ready” LED indicator will light up when it is ready for steam ironing.
  9. The pilot light turns off when the iron has reached the desired temperature.
  10. The appliance is ready to use.
  11. Press the steam button for steam ironing. If you want to use a constant jet of steam, press the steam lock button (7).
  12. Turn the iron's temperature control in an anti-clockwise direction until "Min".
  13. Turn the main switch off.
  14. When the appliance has completely cooled down, store it in a safe place.

IMPORTANT: When the fill-the-tank LED indicator lights up, the boiler is empty. If you wish to fill up the boiler, unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely.

VERTICAL STEAM IRONING

This function supplies steam to remove wrinkles from delicate garments, curtains or other fabrics when they are hung up.

Note:

  1. Do not apply steam to any garment or fabric worn by a person or animal. The steam is at a very high temperature.
  2. Keep a few centimetres away from delicate fabrics (manmade materials, silk, velvet, etc.), otherwise the fabric may get damaged.

7. EMPTYING OUT THE WATER

  1. Turn the switch off.
  2. Unplug the mains cable from the power point.
  3. Wait until the appliance has cooled down completely.
  4. Remove the plug from the boiler (10).
  5. Empty the boiler by holding it upside down. (Fig. 4)
  6. Replace the boiler's plug.

8. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

  • Unplug the appliance and wait until it cools down before proceeding to clean it.
  • Clean the outside of the boiler with a soft, slightly-dampened cloth.
  • The surface of the shoe must always be clean. Cotton deposits and other impurities can attack the iron's shoe. To clean, simply rub the cold surface with a soft, slightly-dampened cloth. Do not use descaling agents.
  • Do not use detergents or abrasive products to clean the appliance.
  • With a view to preventing the shoe from getting scratched, you should avoid ironing zips, metal buttons, etc, and, similarly, you should not place the iron on metal or rough surfaces.
  • After each use, empty the tank and let the iron cool down before putting it away.
  • Do not submerge the appliance in water or place it under a tap to fill the water tank.
