SAFETY MEASURES
General
Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal injury and damage.
Use for its intended purpose only. The • manufacturer is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).
For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or commercial use.
For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only.
Never submerge the appliance, cord or plug in • water, and no water must be allowed to enter the motor section.
Never touch the appliance, cord or plug with wet • or damp hands.
Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight, high temperatures, humidity, dust or corrosive substances.
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is • switched on.
Keep the appliance under constant supervision • while in use. Keep an eye on children in the vicinity of the appliance when it is being used. The appliance is not a toy.
The appliance is not to be used by persons with reduced sensitivity, physical or mental disabilities or persons who are unable to use the appliance, unless supervised or instructed by a person responsible for their safety.
The appliance contains sharp parts - keep out of the reach of children.
Use only accessories supplied with the appliance • or those recommended by the manufacturer.
Use
Always place the appliance on a dry, level and firm surface, and well away from the edges.
Do not use the appliance, if the mixing bowl, • meat grinder body, blender jug or any of the other accessories are damaged.
Always switch off the appliance at the wall socket • and unplug before changing an accessory.
- Ensure that the accessories are fitted securely and correctly, before you switch on the appliance.
• Always fit the protective cover when not using the accessory or blender socket.
• NEVER put your fingers, kitchen utensils or similar in the openings of the appliance.
- Keep hands and kitchen utensils away from whisks, dough whisk or dough hook while the machine is running.
- NEVER use your fingers, kitchen utensils or similar to push ingredients down the feeding tube in the meat grinder body! Use the accompanying tamper. NEVER put tools or your hands into the blender • jug while the appliance is switched on. Please note that the blade may still rotate for a moment after you switch off the appliance.
- NEVER touch the moving parts of the appliance until it has come to a complete stop. Be careful not to touch the blades or sharp parts • during use and cleaning.
- Do not switch on the appliance if the blender jug with lid has been attached and there is no liquid and/or food in the jug.
- Never pour boiling liquid or very hot food into the blender jug. Make sure that the food has a sufficiently low temperature to avoid burning/scalding in case of skin contact.
- The chopper beaker must never be more than 2/3 full with liquids or food.
- Remove the cap from the blender jug lid if you are blending food that is not in a liquid state.
Do not leave the meat grinder running for more than 10 minutes at a time. When the meat grinder has run for 10 minutes, you must pause for 30 minutes before using it again.
- Do not leave the blender running for more than 2 minutes at a time. If the blender has run for 2 minutes, allow it to cool down for 2 minutes before using it again.
NOTE! The appliance is equipped with a safety switch to avoid accidental starts. The safety switch will allow the appliance to operate if the appliance is correctly assembled and the parts are securely fixed as described in the instructions. If otherwise, the appliance will not operate! If the appliance does not start, we recommend you check the appliance assembly thoroughly.
- WARNING: When mixing hot liquids/foods excess pressure may build up inside the blender, and this could make the lid come off and the contents splash out. We therefore recommend that you avoid mixing excessively hot foods and that you only put very small quantities of hot liquids or foods into the blender.
Cord and plug
Do not let the cord hang out over the edge of the work surface.
- Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the cord or any extension cord.
- Keep the cord and appliance away from heat sources, hot objects and naked flames.
- Unplug before changing accessories, or cleaning, and when not in use. Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. Instead, hold the plug.
• Ensure that the cord is fully extended.
- The cord must not be twisted or wound around the appliance.
Check regularly that neither cord nor plug is • damaged. Do not use if they are damaged or if the appliance has been dropped or damaged in any other way.
If the appliance, cord or plug have been damaged, • have the appliance inspected and if necessary repaired by an authorised repairer. Never try to repair the appliance yourself. Please contact the store where you bought the appliance for repairs under the guarantee. Unauthorised repairs or modifications to the appliance will invalidate the guarantee.

- Remove all packaging and transport materials from the inside and outside of the appliance.
- Check that the appliance has no visible damage and that no parts are missing.
- To remove any excess metal from the production process, we recommend you fit the scroll (13), knife (14) and meat screen (5) in the meat grinder body (10) (see below) and allow the appliance to run for approximately 2 minutes with each meat screen without food. Then clean the accessories before use.
- Clean all parts that come into contact with food before using the appliance for the first time (or after prolonged storage). See "Cleaning".
USING YOUR KITCHEN APPLIANCE
Assembly
-
Place the motor section (4) on a flat surface, e.g. a kitchen counter, and make sure it is standing firmly.
-
Check that the protective cover is fitted in the accessory socket (25) and that the cover for the blender opening (1) has been fitted over the blender opening.
-
Tilt down the arm release handle (3). The arm (26) tilts upwards.
-
Fit the lid (23) onto the underside of the arm and turn it slightly to the left, so that it locks into position.
-
Fit the mixing bowl (22) in the recess on the motor section base. Turn the mixing bowl slightly clockwise, so it locks into position.
-
First mount the splash guard (12) on the dough hook (6) or the dough whisk (7) (see the pictures). Turn the accessory clockwise until the metal pins lock into position.

Then fit the desired accessory onto the accessory shaft (24) on the underside of the arm.
o The dough hook is used for heavy dough, minced meat or other demanding kneading jobs.
o The dough whisk is used to mix lighter types of dough.

Turn the accessory, so the pins on the shaft are aligned with the depressions on the accessory's top edge. Press the accessory up towards the arm, turning it at the same time to the right so that the pins slide into position, thus securely locking the
accessory in place. The accessory must not be loose nor should you be able to pull it free. Lower the arm so 8. that it locks into place with a click. The lid must fit tightly onto the mixing bowl. If not, it is fitted incorrectly.
The appliance is now ready for use. 9.

Connect the appliance. The indicator next to the 1. OFF button (g) lights up.
Start the appliance by pressing one of the five 2. speed buttons (a-e). Speed 1 (a) is the slowest and speed 5 (e) is the fastest. Recommended speeds, time and capacity are shown in the table below.
Stop the appliance by pressing the OFF button 3. if you want to pause, for example to add more ingredients.
If you need to scrape inside the mixing bowl, wait 4. until the accessory has stopped completely. Use the spatula, never your fingers.
Switch off the appliance by pressing the OFF 5. button when you have finished mixing. Always unplug the appliance before you change the accessories or take the appliance apart.
Tilt the arm up using the arm release handle.6. Dismantle the accessory by turning it to the left.7.
Remove the mixing bowl.8.
Clean all accessories before storing the appliance. 9. See "Cleaning".

USING THE MEAT GRINDER
Assembly
- Place the motor section on a flat surface, e.g. a kitchen counter, and make sure it is standing firmly.

Check the arm is tilted down and locked into position and that the cover for the blender opening has been fitter over the blender opening.

Remove the protective cover from the accessory socket. Turn the cover so the white triangle is aligned with the black circle and remove the cover.
- Place the meat grinder body in the accessory opening and turn the body to vertical position.
- Fit the scroll in the meat grinder body with the thin metal connection outwards, and press firmly into place.
- Fit the silicon coupling (15) onto the scroll connection (see picture 6).
- Fit the knife onto the scroll connection (see picture 7). The sharp edges of the knife should point towards the meat screen.
- Fit one of the three meat screens on top of the knife (see picture 8). Turn the screen so one of the depressions on the side align with the round projection on the meat grinder body.
o Select the meat screen for the required consistency. You can choose fine, medium and coarse.

Fit the ring nut (11) over the meat screen on the meat grinder body (see picture 9). Turn clockwise to lock. The ring nut must hold the meat screen securely in place. But do not over tighten.

Fit the meat tray (16) onto the meat grinder body so that the wide part is positioned over the motor section of the appliance.

The appliance is now ready for use.
Grinding Meat
Cut your meat into smaller pieces, so the pieces fit 1. into the feeding tube. Dice or cut into strips with a width of approx. 2.5 cm.
- Put the pieces of meat onto the tray.
- Place the mixing bowl or similar under the meat grinder body opening. Connect the appliance. The indicator next to the 4. OFF button lights up.
Start the appliance by pressing one of the five 5. speed buttons. Speed 1 is the slowest and speed 5 is the fastest. Recommended speeds, time and capacity are shown in the table above.
- The meat pieces travel down the feeding tube. Push down carefully with the tamper (9). Do not press too hard or you may damage the appliance. Switch off the appliance by pressing the OFF 7. button when you have finished chopping. Always unplug the appliance before you change the accessories or take the appliance apart.
- Dismantle the meat chopper by turning the body slightly anti-clockwise and remove the body.
- Fit the protective cover over the accessory socket again.




Clean all accessories before storing the appliance. 10. See "Cleaning".
IMPORTANT!
Always remove bone, gristle, tendons, and rind • before grinding the meat.
Frozen food must be thoroughly defrosted before • grinding.
The meat grinder must only be used to grind meat. Avoid grinding pasty foods, e.g. food containing breadcrumbs, as this could damage the appliance.
Do not leave the meat grinder running for more than 10 minutes at a time. When the meat grinder has been running for 10 minutes, you must pause for 30 minutes before using it again.

Assembly
Place the motor section on a flat surface, e.g. a 1. kitchen counter, and make sure it is standing firmly. Make sure that the protective cover is fitted in the 2. accessory socket.
Dismantle the cover for the blender opening by 3. pushing it to the right and lifting it off.
Place the blender jug (18) in the blender opening 4. and turn the jug clockwise until it locks firmly into place. The white triangle on the jug must align with the black triangle on the arm.
Remove the lid (19) from the blender jug.5. Pour food into the blender jug.6.
NOTE! The chopper beaker must never be more than 2/3 full with liquids or food.
Press the release button 7. for the lid (21) and fit the lid onto the blender jug. The curved edge should be above the pouring spout. Take care to press the lid down firmly before releasing the button.
- Insert the plug (20) into the hole in the lid.

- Connect the appliance. The indicator next to the OFF button lights up.
- Start the appliance by pressing one of the five speed buttons. Speed button 1 is the slowest and speed button 5 is the fastest speed.
The appliance has a pulse function. Hold down the 3. P button (f) if you want to blend at extra high speed for a short time. The appliance stops when you release the button. -
You can add more food to the blender jug during operation through the opening in the lid. Always stop the appliance before removing the cap and adding more food.

Switch off the appliance by pressing the OFF button when you have finished blending. Wait until the blade (17) has come to a complete stop before removing the blender jug lid. Always unplug the appliance before you change the accessories or take the appliance apart.

Remove the blender jug by turning it anti-clockwise and lifting it.
- Refit the cover for the blender opening.
- Clean all parts before storing the appliance. See "Cleaning".
NOTE!
- Do not leave the blender running for more than 2 minutes at a time. If the blender has been running for 2 minutes, allow it to cool down for 2 minutes before you use it again.
- Always add liquid to the blender jug when crushing ice cubes.
CLEANING
When cleaning the appliance, you should pay attention to the following:
- Remove the plug from the mains socket, and allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning it.
- Do not immerse the motor section of the appliance in water and make sure no water enters the appliance.
- Clean the motor section by wiping it with a damp cloth. A little detergent can be added if the appliance is heavily soiled.
- Do not use scouring pads, steel wool or any form of strong solvents or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance, as they can damage the external surfaces of the appliance.
- Take the appliance apart and clean all of the accessories separately. The mixing bowl and all plastic accessories are dishwasher-safe; other accessories can be cleaned in warm soapy water. Make sure the parts are not fixed firmly in the dishwasher as this may change their shape.
- Be careful not to touch the blades or sharp parts during use and cleaning.
- IMPORTANT! Allow to dry completely after cleaning. Do not use the appliance if it is damp.
- Ensure the appliance is clean and dry before storage.
- We recommend you lubricate the meat screens with vegetable oil after cleaning, and store them in grease-proof paper to minimise the risk of rust and discolouration.
FOR UNITED KINGDOM ONLY
Plug wiring:
This product is fitted with a BS 1363 13-amp plug. If you have to replace the fuse, only those that are ASTA or BSI approved to BS1362 and with a rated current of 13 amps should be used. If there is a fuse cover fitted, this cover must be refitted after changing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged, the plug must not be used. You must also check if the socket outlets in your home fit with the plug of the appliance. If the socket outlet in your home does not fit with the plug, the plug must be removed and disposed of safely as insertion of the plug into the socket is likely to cause electric hazard.
As this product is a class II appliance, the pin of BS plug for earth connection is false.
