Frequently Asked Questions - KA ADH 7 KALORIK

Why is my dehumidifier not turning on?
Check if the power cord is properly plugged in. Also, if the water tank is full or not correctly positioned, the unit will not operate. Empty the tank and ensure it is securely in place. Additionally, the ambient temperature must be between 5°C and 35°C; outside this range, the built-in protective device prevents operation.
How often should I clean the air filter?
The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks for optimal performance. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust, or wash with lukewarm water and mild detergent if heavily soiled. Ensure the filter is completely dry before reinstalling.
What does the 'full water tank' light mean?
When this light flashes, it indicates the water tank is either full or not installed correctly. Empty the tank and reinstall it firmly. If the light remains on, check the buoy and sensor inside the tank for proper positioning.
Can I use an extension cord with this dehumidifier?
No, never use an extension cord with this appliance. It may cause a fire hazard or damage the unit. Plug the unit directly into a wall outlet.
How do I set up continuous drainage?
Turn off and unplug the unit. Remove the cap from the drain hole on the back. Insert a water tube (internal diameter 12mm) into the opening and push firmly. Replace the cap on the tank as shown in the manual. Then reinsert the tank.
What should I do if the dehumidifier is leaking water?
Check if the drain hole cap is properly closed if not using continuous drainage. Ensure the water tank is correctly installed. Also, verify that the unit is on a level surface and not tilted.
Why is the dehumidification performance poor?
Ensure all windows and doors are closed. Check if the air filter is clogged; clean it if necessary. Also, verify that the air inlet and outlet are not blocked. If the room has high humidity sources, relocate the unit away from them.
Can I tilt the unit when moving it?
Avoid tilting the unit. Use the wheels or side handles to slide it gently on a flat surface. If the floor is uneven or carpeted, lift the unit to prevent damage. Always wait 1 hour after tilting before plugging in.
How do I store the dehumidifier when not in use?
Unplug the unit, empty and dry the water tank, clean the air filter, and store it in an upright position in a cool, dry place. Use the original packaging to prevent dust accumulation.
What is the refrigerant used in this model?
This dehumidifier uses R314a refrigerant. For repairs involving the cooling system, contact a qualified technician.
