Frequently Asked Questions - KH 1800 EINHELL

How do I set the thermostat on the Einhell KH 1800?
Turn the thermostat knob clockwise to increase the desired temperature. The heater will automatically cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature. Use a thermometer to verify the room temperature.
What does the fan-only mode do?
In fan-only mode, the heating element is disabled and the fan circulates air without heating. This is useful for summer or when you only need air circulation.
How often should I clean the filter?
Clean the filter every two weeks under normal use. Remove the filter cover, take out the filter, wash it with mild soap and water, let it dry completely, and reinstall.
Why does the heater turn off unexpectedly?
This may be due to the tip-over safety switch or overheating. Ensure the heater is on a stable, level surface and not obstructed. Let it cool for 10 minutes before restarting.
Can I use the heater in a bathroom?
The KH 1800 is not splash-proof. Do not use it in bathrooms, showers, or wet areas. Keep it away from water to avoid electric shock.
What is the maximum room size for effective heating?
For well-insulated rooms, the heater can effectively warm spaces up to 25 m². For larger rooms, consider a higher wattage heater.
How do I reset the overheat protection?
If the overheat protection activates, unplug the heater, allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes, remove any obstructions, and plug it back in. The heater will reset automatically.
Is the power cord replaceable?
The power cord is not user-replaceable. If damaged, the heater must be repaired by a qualified technician or replaced.
What does the indicator light mean?
A red LED indicates the heater is powered on. Some models have a second LED for fan operation. Refer to the manual for exact details.
Can I leave the heater unattended?
While the heater has safety features like tip-over and overheat protection, it is recommended to never leave it unattended for long periods. Always place it away from flammable materials.

Heat output: 1800 W

Thermostat control: Infinitely adjustable

Protection class: I

Protection type: IPX0

Equipment dimensions approx.: 23 x 22 x 29 cm

6. Before starting the equipment

The equipment can be used indoors in a free standing position. Keep a minimum distance of 1 m between the housing and walls, combustible materials (furniture, curtains, etc.). The equipment may only be used completely mounted and standing vertically on a stable surface. It is prohibited to operate the equipment on an instable surface (e.g. on a bed).

Important. Before using the equipment for the first time, check that the voltage supply is the same as the voltage details set out on the rating plate.

Read the safety regulations in section 1.

When the equipment is used for the first time or after a long period of rest it may emit an odor for a short time. This is not a fault.

Check the correct air throughput by holding a sheet of paper a distance of 10 cm in front of the air outlet grille in air circulation mode (without heating). The paper must be blown away from the air outlet grille.

If the appliance should topple or fall over, the power supply will be cut off by an integrated safety switch in the appliance. The power supply resumes as soon as the appliance is stood upright again.

7. Operation

Note: For optimum alignment of the air current, the housing (Fig. 1 / Item 7) can be tilted to 3 settings.

7.2 Heat output switches (Fig. 2):

●Off setting (OFF)

●Fan setting (FAN)
●Low heating output (LOW - 1200 W)
●Maximum heating output (HIGH - 1800 W)

7.3 Thermostat control (Fig. 2 / Item 5):

Switch on the required heating output. Turn the control to "HIGH" until the required room temperature has been reached. Then turn down the control until you hear a clear click. The thermostat control will switch the radiator on and off automatically to maintain the room temperature at an almost constant level. However, this presupposes that the radiator has sufficient output to cover the heating requirements for the room.

7.4 Overheating guard

In case of excessive heating, the heating function will shut down automatically. The fan and the indicator light (Fig. 1 / Item 1) will remain on. If the overheating guard has triggered, the „Caution“ indicator light (Fig. 1 / Item 2) will be lit. If this occurs, turn off the equipment, disconnect the mains plug and wait a few minutes for the equipment to cool. After eliminating the cause (e.g. a covered air grille), the equipment can be switched on again.
