EN The shoulder part of the harness should be positioned as close to the child's shoulders as possible, but the holes should not be underneath them.

EN To adjust the harness height, loosen the harness straps as much as possible, then turn the seat so that it is facing you and remove the shoulder straps from the connector, then move them to the appropriate hole for the child's height and secure them in the connector.

EN To loosen the harness, hold the "PRESS" button located on the back of the seat base and pull the harness towards you. To tighten the harness, hold the "PRESS" button and pull the adjustment strap.

EN To fasten the buckle, place its two metal parts together and press into the latch until you hear a "click". To check if the buckle is fastened correctly, pull on the harness. To unfasten it, press the red button on the latch.

EN The child's head should always rest in the center of the headrest. To adjust it, hold the adjustment button located on the back of the headrest and move the headrest in the appropriate direction.

2.1 76 - 105 cm

EN Install the seat in the car using the seat belt. To do this, pull the seat belt to its longest position, then feed the buckle through the holes in the seat backrest, making sure that the lap part of the belt is routed under the seat armrests, then snap the buckle into the car seat belt buckle.

EN Check that the seat is properly secured by pulling on the belt.

EN To properly secure your child in the seat, adjust the height of the shoulder straps and headrest to the child's height, then put the straps on the child, fasten the buckle and tighten the adjustment belt until the straps fit tightly to the child's body without causing discomfort.

2.2 100 - 125 cm

EN To install a seat for a child between 100 and 125 cm tall, you must remove the five-point seat belts from the seat. To do this, loosen the belts as much as possible, then turn the seat so that its back is facing you. Then remove the belts from the connector and pull them towards the seat, as shown in the pictures.

EN To properly secure your child in the seat, adjust the headrest to the child's height, then pull the seat belt to its longest position, run the shoulder part through the guide in the headrest of the seat and fasten it, making sure that the hip part is under the armrests of the seat and the whole thing is not twisted.

2.3 125 - 150 cm

EN To install the seat for a child between 125 and 150 cm tall, the backrest must be removed from the seat. To do this, remove the five-point seat belts from the seat (shown in point 1.2) and then unfold the backrest until it lies flat with the seat, then slide it out.

EN To properly secure your child in the seat, place the child in the seat and fasten the seat belt, making sure that the lap section of the belt is under the seat armrests and the entire belt is not twisted.

These Assembly and Usage Instructions must be given to the client.

WARNING! For the safety of the person installing the car seat:

- The shoulder belt pads are important in keeping the child safe. Please use them at all times.

- While installing or uninstalling the seat no object may be able to slide between the car seat and the child seat base. It could trap the person's fingers.

- In ordered to avoid damage, take care not to jam the seat between solid elements of the car (doors, seat guides etc.).

- Store the car seat in a safe place when not in use. Avoid putting heavy objects on the seat and do not store near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

WARNING! For the safety of the car:

- Some car seat covers are made of delicate fabrics (velour, leather etc.) and may become worn-out due to the child seat use. In order to protect the upholstery, we recommend using car seat covers available as accessories.

DANGER! For the safety of your child:

- Please use the Caretero FALCON I-SIZE seat only to secure your child in the car.

- The seat is to be installed forward-facing with a 3-point car safety belt or with a 3-point car safety belts and ISOFIX anchors only.

- It is forbidden to use the car seat as a chair or a toy.

- During a car crash at speed higher than 10km / h the car seat may become damaged without clear visual marks. In such case the car seat should be scrapped and replaced with a new one.

- Please remember to recycle the seat properly when it won't be used anymore.

- Commission a full check of the car seat after a possible damaging (eg. when the seat falls to the ground).

- Regularly check all vital elements of the car seat for signs of damage. Make sure all mechanical parts of the seat are functioning properly.

- It is forbidden to lubricate any parts of the seat.

- Check if the car seat is installed properly before each trip.

- Do not use or transport the car seat when it is not properly installed in the car.

- Do not use other fixing points other than those described in this manual and marked on the car seat itself.

- Regularly check the seat belts, especially the fixing points, stitchings and adjustment devices.

- Never leave the child in the car seat unattended.

- Make sure that the child enters and exits the car on the sidewalk side of the street.

- Protect the car seat against sunlight while it's not in use.

- The car seat may become very hot while under direct sunlight. The child's skin is very delicate and may become easily damaged during contact with a hot car seat.

- The closer the car seat belts are to the child's body, the higher the safety level. Therefore do not put thick clothes on the child.

- Make regular stops during longer trips, so the child may play and rest after removing it from the car seat.

- When using the car seat in the rear passenger seats: slide the front passenger seat to the front, so the child will not reach the backrest with its feet (this will prevent from damaging the legs during an accident).

- Not complying with these instruction may cause danger.

DANGER! For the safety of car passengers.

In case of an accident or emergency braking, persons or objects that are not secured properly, may damage other users of the car. Therefore it is important to ensure the following:

• The backrests of the seats are fixed (make sure the foldable rear seat backrests have been locked properly).
• All heavy objects or objects with sharp edges have been secured (eg. objects on the rear window shelf are not loose).
• All persons in the car have fastened their seat belts.
• The child seat is always secured, even when there is no child in the seat.

DANGER! In case of any modifications done to the car seat, the warranty will become void.

Only the manufacturer may apply any changes to the car seat.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Remember to use only the original Caretero FALCON I-SIZE cover (upholstery), as it is an integral part of the seat and plays an important role in its proper functioning.

• It is forbidden to use the child seat without a cover
• It is recommended to hand wash the cover in water with a mild detergent (at a temperature of up to 30^ )
• Plastic elements can be cleaned using soapy water (it is forbidden to use aggressive cleaning agents, e.g. solvents)
  • The belts can be cleaned using lukewarm soapy water
  • The shoulder pads can be cleaned using lukewarm soapy water
  • The plastic parts of the seat should be cleaned with a damp cloth
• Do not use strong detergents to clean the plastic elements of the seat, as this may lead to degradation and damage to these elements
