What height groups does the Caretero Cosy i-Size cover?

The seat covers children from 76 cm to 150 cm (approximately 15 months to 12 years). It is divided into three stages: 76–87 cm (with seat cushion and 5-point harness), 87–105 cm (5-point harness, no cushion), and 100–150 cm (using the vehicle's 3-point belt).

How do I install the car seat with the vehicle seat belt?

First, ensure the seat is forward-facing. For children 76–105 cm, use the 5-point harness. Route the diagonal belt through the back belt guide and behind the shoulder straps, then under the armrest. Insert the belt end into the buckle until you hear a click. Ensure the belt is tight and not twisted.

When should I remove the seat cushion?

The seat cushion is required for children with a height of 76–87 cm. Remove it once the child reaches 87 cm to ensure proper fit and safety.

How do I adjust the headrest?

Locate the adjustment handle on the back of the headrest. Squeeze and pull up to raise, or squeeze and push down to lower. There are 13 positions; the child's head should be in the middle of the headrest. For 76–105 cm, the button should be horizontal; for 100–150 cm, turn it vertical.

Can I use this seat with an airbag?

No. Never install this car seat on a passenger seat equipped with an active airbag. It can be extremely dangerous and lead to serious injury.

How do I clean the car seat?

Use a wet towel to clean the plastic body. The fabric cover can be removed and washed by hand (follow care instructions). Avoid corrosive substances and direct sunlight to prevent damage.

What should I do if the seat has been in an accident?

Do not use the child car seat if it has been involved in an accident, even if it looks undamaged. Replace it immediately, as hidden structural damage may compromise safety.

Is the seat rear-facing?

No, the Caretero Cosy i-Size is designed for forward-facing use only. The manual and illustrations show installation in a forward-facing position.

How do I hide the 5-point harness when transitioning to the vehicle belt?

For children 100–150 cm, you need to hide the 5-point harness. Refer to section 3.5.5 in the manual: open the covers, tuck the buckle pieces and straps behind the designated covers, and secure them out of the way.

EN. Please read the entire instruction manual thoroughly before using the child car seat. Improper installation can endanger the life of your child. This car seat is approved by ECE R129 rule. Under no circumstances should the seat be installed on a passenger seat equipped with an airbag. This can be very dangerous. It is most important that the seat belt is correctly routed. Never make unauthorized alterations or additions to the product. Never use the child car seat if it has been in an accident, or if it has become badly worn. Do not leave your children in the seat unattended at any time. Child car seat parts may become hot in direct sunlight. Cover with a sheet to prevent this. Ensure that all other passengers' luggage and loose objects are properly secured. Never use the child car seat without cover. Only covers approved by manufacturer can be used. The child car seat must be secured when not in use. Store this child car seat in a safe place when it is not being used. Avoid placing heavy objects on it. Most accidents occur on short trips. So do not be tempted to avoid using the seat simply because you are not travelling very far. Keep plastic bag away from your child as it could cause suffocation. Do not expose the child seat to any corrosive substances. Use a wet towel to clean the plastic body of the child seat. Make sure the child car seat belt is adjusted to a suitable position and ensure the belt is not twisted. Please ensure the lap belt is worn low down across the pelvis. Do not use this product second hand as you never know its history. The user shall be informed that the rigid items and plastic parts of an Enhanced Child Restraint System shall be located and installed so that they are not liable to become trapped by a movable seat or in a door of the vehicle during everyday use of the vehicle.

EN. 1. Unlock the 5-point safety buckle. 2. To loosen the harness straps, with one hand press the harness adjustment button and with the another hand pull the harness straps forward. 3. Pull the seat belt and shoulder pads to the armrests on both sides, put the seat cushion on the seat, and ensure that the seat belt buckle is on the seat cushion. 4. Put the seat belt and shoulder pads back on the inside of the seat cushion, close the five-point seat belt.

Put the seat belt and shoulder pads to the armrests on both sides. 4. Place your child in the child seat. Then adjust the headrest height according to your child. With the headrest adjustment switch in the horizontal position, squeeze and pull/push the handle behind the headrest upwards or downwards to the desired location. Make Sure the headrest is locked into a position.

EN. Place the shoulder straps onto your child and secure the buckle pieces into the buckle. You will hear and audible click when it secured. To tighten the harness straps, pull the harness adjuster strap at the base of the seat until the straps are sitting close to your child chest. Please ensure you do not over tighten them.

EN. 5. Pull the cover up from the front of the seat, take out the EPE in the hole of the base. Pass the 5-point safety buckle together with pad through the cover of the base. Put the buckle and pad in the hole. Fasten the snap buttons again.

EN. In order to adjust the headrest height there is an adjustment handle on the back of the headrest. Squeeze and pull this up to lift headrest up, or squeeze and push the handle down to lower the headrest.

EN. Please make sure the shoulder straps position is a little higher than the child's shoulder height.

EN. Headrest can be adjusted 13 positions, please make sure the child head is in the middle position of the headrest, top shoulder straps position need a little higher than shoulder height before using baby car seat, which can provide effective protection in case of collision.

Pull the headrest up. 3. Open the ① and ② covers, feed the diagonal belt through the back belt guide, through behind the shoulder straps and over the armrest.

EN. 4. Open the ③ cover. The belt runs under the armrest, through the base slot, Secure the belt end into the buckle until you hear it click.

EN. Please make sure the car seat belt is tight and not twisted.

EN. 5. To loosen the harness straps, with one hand press the harness adjustment button and with the another hand pull the harness straps forward.

EN. 6. Place your child in the child seat. Then adjust the headrest height according to your child. With the headrest adjustment switch in the horizontal position, squeeze and pull/push the handle behind the headrest upwards or downwards to the desired location. Make Sure the headrest is locked into a position, you will hear a click when it locks into place. Place the shoulder straps onto your child and secure the buckle pieces into the buckle, you will hear an audible click when its secured. To tighten the harness straps, pull the harness adjuster strap at the base of the seat until the straps are sitting close to your child chest. Please ensure you do not over tighten them. As shown in Pic. 10.

EN. You will need to hide the 5 point safety harness first. To hide the 5 point safety harness, please refer to 3.5.5 Hide 5-point seat belts.

EN. Place your child in the seat. Adjust the headrest by squeezing and pulling the headrest handle up into the desired position. Take the adult seat belt, feed the diagonal belt through the shoulder belt guide as shown. Pull the belt across the child as shown and then take both the diagonal and lap belt and pull it under the armrest, then insert the belt end into the buckle until you hear an audible click. Make sure the car seat belt is not twisted.
