Frequently Asked Questions - ColumbiaVac OPC1100 Eldom

How do I set the desired humidity level on the Eldom ColumbiaVac OPC1100?
Press the 'MODE' button to select one of the three preset programs (I: 60%, II: 40%, III: 20%). To manually set a humidity level between 20% and 80%, first select program I or II, then press the 'HUM' button until the desired value appears on the display.
What does the colored ring around the power button indicate?
The color indicates room humidity: blue below 40%, green between 40% and 60%, red above 60%. Red also appears when the water tank is full or a malfunction occurs.
How do I set the continuous drainage function?
Remove the water tank, detach the tank housing component, connect the included hose to the water outlet valve in the upper section of the tank bay, reinsert the tank leading the hose out through the cut-out, and place the other end in a container (e.g., bucket). Ensure the hose is below the outlet and not bent.
Why is the dehumidifier not working?
Possible causes: no power (check connection), water tank is full or not correctly installed (indicator flashes), room temperature below 5°C or above 35°C (protection activated), or the timer function is active. Refer to troubleshooting in the manual.
How often should I clean the air filter and how?
Clean the air filter every 2 weeks. Remove it, wash in warm water (approx. 40°C) with neutral detergent, rinse, dry thoroughly, and reinstall. Do not operate without a properly installed filter.
What do the error codes E2, LO, HI, CL, CH mean?
E2: Problem with humidity sensor (contact service). LO: Humidity below 20% (automatic protection). HI: Humidity above 95%. CL: Low temperature protection (<5°C). CH: High temperature protection (>35°C).
Can I use an extension cord with this dehumidifier?
It is recommended not to use an extension cord unless it has been checked and tested by a qualified electrician. The cord length is designed to reduce injury risk.
How does the auto defrost function work?
When ambient temperature is between 5°C and 16°C, the compressor automatically defrosts at specified intervals. During defrosting, the compressor stops but the fan continues to run.
What is the purpose of the ionizer (PURIFY) function?
Press the 'PURIFY' button to switch on/off the ionizer, which helps purify the air by releasing negative ions.
How do I enable the child lock?
Press and hold the 'SPEED/LOCK' button for a few seconds. The lock icon will illuminate, preventing any changes to settings or turning off the device. To unlock, hold the same button again.

Pour the water out of the tank.

If the water tank is dirty, clean it with water. Do not use any acrid cleaning agents. Do not use chemical solvent (such as benzene, alcohol, gasoline). The surface may be damaged or even the whole case may be deformed. Do not sprinkle water

Place the tank in the right position in the device. Otherwise, the full tank indicator will still light up red and the device will not be able to work.
