Frequently Asked Questions - MO-121235.1 Emerio

How do I preheat the oven?
Select the desired function (top, bottom, or both) using the function knob, turn the temperature knob to the desired temperature, and set the timer to preheat. Wait about 5-10 minutes before placing food inside. The indicator light will remain on during preheating.
Can I use metal containers or aluminum foil?
Yes, you can use metal baking pans and aluminum foil in this conventional oven. However, ensure they do not touch the heating elements. Always use the provided baking tray or wire rack as recommended.
What should I do if the oven does not heat up?
First, check that the power cord is plugged into a working outlet and that the timer knob is set to a time other than 'OFF'. Ensure the function and temperature knobs are set correctly. If the indicator light does not turn on, the oven may not be receiving power. Try a different outlet or contact customer service.
How do I clean the oven?
Unplug the oven and let it cool completely. Wipe the exterior and interior with a damp, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Wash the baking tray, wire rack, and tray handle in hot soapy water, rinse, and dry. Do not place any parts in the dishwasher. Never immerse the oven body in water.
Can I use the oven without the baking tray?
Yes, you can place food directly on the wire rack, but it is recommended to slide the baking tray underneath to catch dripping oils. For foods like pizza or baked goods, use the baking tray directly.
What is the maximum cooking time?
The mechanical timer has a maximum setting of approximately 60 minutes. For longer cooking times, you can reset the timer after it rings. Always monitor the cooking process to avoid overcooking.
Is this oven suitable for baking cakes?
Yes, it is suitable for baking cakes. Use the combined top and bottom heat function, preheat to the recommended temperature (e.g., 180-200°C), and place the cake pan on the wire rack. Adjust time and temperature as needed.
Why does the indicator light stay on after cooking?
The indicator light only turns off when the timer knob is turned to the 'OFF' position. If you set the timer and it completes, the light goes off automatically. If the light remains on, ensure the timer is set to 'OFF' after use.
Can I leave the oven unattended while in use?
No, the manual explicitly states: 'Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use.' Always stay nearby to monitor cooking and avoid hazards. Use oven mitts when handling hot items.
What do the different function positions do?
The function knob has three settings: top heat (upper heating element only), bottom heat (lower heating element only), and combined (both elements). Top heat is good for browning, bottom for crisping, and combined for general baking and roasting.
