Frequently Asked Questions - KM0507 Krüger&Matz

How do I connect my speakers to the KM0507 receiver?
Strip about 10 mm of insulation from the speaker wire, twist the strands tightly, then unscrew the binding post knob, insert the wire, and tighten the knob. Ensure correct polarity: red (+) to red, black (-) to black. Minimum impedance 8 Ω.
How can I listen to music via Bluetooth?
Connect the supplied external Bluetooth module to the dedicated socket on the rear panel. Press the Bluetooth button on the remote or select B.T. source via the SOURCE knob on the front panel. Pair your device (default PIN 0000) and play music.
Why is there no sound from my speakers?
Check that the correct input source is selected and the volume is not muted. Verify speaker connections and that the speaker impedance is 8 Ω. If using digital input, ensure the source is properly connected and set to output PCM or Dolby Digital.
How do I adjust the bass and treble?
Use the BASS and TREBLE knobs on the front panel. For pure direct sound, activate DIRECT mode which bypasses tone controls for higher fidelity.
Can I play music from a USB flash drive?
Yes. Insert a USB flash drive into the rear USB port, then select USB as the input source using the USB button on the remote or the SOURCE knob. Press Play to start playback. Supported formats: MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC.
The remote control doesn't work. What should I do?
Check if the batteries are inserted correctly and have charge. Replace with new AAA batteries if needed. Ensure there are no obstacles between the remote and the front IR sensor, and operate within the effective range (approx. 7 meters).
How do I connect a turntable to this receiver?
Connect your turntable to the PHONO input using RCA cables. The receiver has a built-in phono preamp, so no external preamp is required. Select PHONO as the input source.
What is the DIRECT mode and when should I use it?
DIRECT mode bypasses the bass, treble, and balance circuits for a purer audio signal with less distortion. Use it when you want to hear the original sound without tone adjustments.
The receiver automatically switches to standby. Is this normal?
Yes. The receiver will automatically enter standby mode (power <0.5 W) after 30 minutes of inactivity with no signal input, except in tuner mode. This is a power-saving feature.
Can I use the receiver while it is charging or updating?
The Normal/Update switch on the rear is for dealer service only. Do not switch to Update mode yourself, as it may damage the unit. Normal operation is for everyday use.

LOUDSPEAKER CONNECTIONS

Speaker Connection Precautions

  • Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet before making any connections.
  • Check the impedance of your speakers.
    • Dedicated speakers' impedance is 8 Ohms. The amplifier's red speaker terminals are the + (positive) terminals and the black terminals are the – (negative) terminals.

- The red (+) speaker cable connect to red (positive) terminal at the amplifier; connect the black (-) speaker cable to black (negative) terminal at the back of the amplifier.

- Prepare the speaker cords for connection by stripping off approximately 10 mm or less (no more as this could cause a short circuit) of the outer insulation. Twist the wires tightly together so that they are not straggly.
