Frequently Asked Questions - B501LBW GORENJE

How do I assemble the blender correctly?
Place the motor base on a flat surface. Put the blending jug onto the base with the handle facing right, aligning the arrow on the jug with the open lock icon on the base. Turn the jug clockwise until you hear a click. Then attach the lid with the long holding lip facing you, turn it right until it rests over the handle. Finally, insert the measuring cup into the lid.
Why doesn't my blender start?
The blender has a safety locking system. Ensure the jug is correctly locked onto the base and the lid is properly aligned and turned to the locked position. If these are not in place, the appliance will not operate.
What is the maximum capacity of the blender jug?
The maximum capacity is 1.5 litres. Do not exceed this level to avoid spillage and ensure proper blending.
How do I use the Pulse function?
Turn the control knob to the PULSE position. The blender will only run while you press and hold the knob. Release to stop. This is ideal for chopping nuts, chocolate, or crushing ice with precise control.
Can I blend hot liquids?
No. Do not blend hot ingredients. Allow them to cool before processing to avoid pressure buildup and potential damage. When pureeing warm ingredients, remove the measuring cup to ventilate.
How do I clean the blender?
For quick cleaning, half-fill the jug with warm water and a little detergent, pulse a few times, then rinse. For thorough cleaning, unscrew the blade assembly anticlockwise, remove the rubber seal, and wash all parts by hand in warm soapy water. Do not put any parts in the dishwasher. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth.
How do I assemble the coffee mill?
Place the motor base on a flat surface. Put the coffee mill bowl onto the base and turn it clockwise until you hear a click, aligning the arrows. It is now locked and ready for use.
What is the maximum operating time for the coffee mill?
Do not operate the coffee mill for more than 30 seconds at a time. After three consecutive uses, let it cool down for at least 60 minutes before using again.
Can I add ingredients while blending?
Yes. You can remove the measuring cup from the lid and add ingredients through the pouring hole while the blender is running.
How should I dispose of the appliance at the end of its life?
Do not throw it away with household waste. Take it to an official WEEE collection point for recycling to help protect the environment.

Safety locking system

For correctly assembling the blender, operate as follows:

  1. Place the main body on the table, with the front facing toward you.

Handy Blending Hints

  • A brief whirl in the blender will rescue a lumpy gravy, or an eggs-based sauce that has separated.
  • Food items for blending should be cut into cubes (approximately 2-3cm), this will assist in achieving an even result.
  • Never fill the blender jug above the maximum level indicated.
  • To ensure efficient mixing when blending dry mixtures, it may be necessary to stop the blender and push ingredients down the sides of the jug with a spatula.
  • When pureeing fruit or vegetable, cooked or raw, cut into small pieces to facilitate blending.
  • When blending a variety of ingredients together, blend the liquids, first, then add dry ingredients.
  • Always ensure stones are removed from fruit and bones from meat as these can harm the blades.
  • Do not process hot liquids in your blender. Allows to cool before processing.

Always ventilate the blender jug when pureeing warm ingredients. This is achieved by lifting the ingredient cup out of the lid, after starting the blender.
