How do I use the MPM MGO-32 waffle maker for the first time?

Remove all packaging, wipe the heat plates and measuring cup with a damp cloth. Extend the stand to a 30° angle. Spread a thin layer of butter or oil on the heat plates, close the lid, plug in, and set the thermostat to MAX to preheat. When the green light turns on, pour batter into the fill port and bake.

What do the indicator lights mean?

The red indicator lamp shows that the appliance is connected to power and heating. The green indicator lamp turns on when the set temperature is reached and cycles on/off to maintain it.

What temperature should I set for waffles?

The recommended baking temperature is around 220°C. The MIN setting is approximately 170°C and MAX is approximately 230°C. Adjust according to desired browning.

How long does it take to bake waffles?

Baking time is typically 6 to 10 minutes, depending on the temperature setting and batter consistency. Check doneness by lifting the lid slightly.

Can I use metal utensils to remove waffles?

No, do not use metal or sharp utensils as they may damage the heat plate surface. Use only wooden or plastic utensils.

How do I clean the waffle maker?

Unplug and let cool completely. Wipe the heat plates with a soft cloth. For stubborn residues, apply a little edible oil, wait 5 minutes, then wipe. Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. The measuring cup can be washed with warm water and detergent. Never immerse the appliance in water.

Can I immerse the waffle maker in water?

Absolutely not. Never immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid. This poses a risk of electric shock.

Is the waffle maker safe to use around children?

The appliance becomes very hot and should not be used by children under 8 years. Keep the appliance and cord out of reach of children. Always supervise children nearby.

What type of batter can I use?

INSTRUCTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH USE SAFETY

Before use, thoroughly read the operation manual.
Extreme care is required in case of children presence in vicinity of the appliance!

- Do not use your roaster for any other purpose except of its assignment.

Do not immerse the appliance, its cord and plug in water or any other fluids!

Do not leave the roaster without supervision in course of its operation.

Always pull out the plug from the socket unless the appliance is used or before its cleaning.

Do not use the roaster in case of its damage, also if its cord or plug is damaged – in such case the appliance should be handed over to an authorized service shop for repair.

The use of any accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may result in damage of the appliance, fire or injuries.

Do not use the roaster outdoors.

Do not hang the cord on any sharp edges and prevent any contact with hot surfaces.

Do not stand the roaster in vicinity of electric and gas cookers, burners, ovens etc.

Do not touch any hot surfaces in course of roasting – open the roaster by means of holder designed for this purpose only.

Prior to commencing the cleaning, pull out the plug from the plug socket and allow the roaster to cool completely.

When opening the appliance in course of roasting, proceed carefully owing to hot damp from the area under the heating panels!

The roaster should be connected into the socket with grounding pin!

This appliance is not intended for use by children under 8 years of age and individuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children without supervision.

Store the appliance and its cord out of reach of children under 8 years of age.

Note!

Keep your children safe: do not leave any parts of the packaging readily accessible (i.e. plastic bags, cardboard boxes, polystyrene inserts, etc.).
WARNING! Never let children play with plastic film or bags. Choking/ asphyxiation hazard!

BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Remove the waffle maker from the box and discard all bags, stickers and polystyrene fillers.
2. Wipe the waffle maker heat plates ⑧ and the measuring cup ⑩. Follow Section "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE".
3. Place the waffle maker on a level, firm surface. Extend the waffle maker stand ③ at the base ② so that the waffle maker's base ② is inclined at 30^ to the surface.

CAUTION! This appliance may only be operated with the stand ③ extended. Do not move the appliance with the stand ③ extended.

CAUTION! The heat plates of the waffle maker become very hot during use! Touch the handle only! Do not touch the batter fill port ⑦.

CAUTION! Hot steam will come out when opening the waffle maker.

1. Make the batter for the waffles.
2. Make sure that the waffle maker is standing with the stand ③ extended as shown in this manual.
3. Release the latch ⑨ and open the top lid ①. Spread butter or other edible fat thin on the the heat plates ⑧. Close the top lid.
4. Plug the waffle maker to a mains outlet. The red indicator lamp ④ will go on and the waffle maker will start heating up. Set the thermostat knob ⑥ to MAX. This way the heat plates will heat up faster.
5. When the waffle maker reaches the operating temperature, the green indicator light ⑤ will go on. Bake the waffles at approx. 220°C. The MIN mark on the thermostat knob is a temperature of the heat plates at approx. 170°C; the MAX mark is a temperature of approx. 230°C.
6. Fill the measuring cup with the batter and pour the contents carefully into the batter fill port ⑦. Be careful not to overfill the waffle maker or spill the batter. If you spill the batter over the waffle maker, unplug the waffle maker from the mains, wait for the appliance to cool down, and clean it thoroughly.
7. Baking the waffles may take from 6 to 10 minutes. When the waffle maker is powered on, the indicator lamp ⑤ will go on and off. This means that the waffle maker is periodically heating up the plates to hold the temperature. Check the waffles during baking: release the latch ⑨ and carefully lift the top lid ajar. If the waffles require more baking, close the top lid and secure the latch. Adjust the baking temperature according to the desired doneness and browning of the waffles.
8. When the waffles are done, unlock and open the top lid and remove the waffles with a wooden spatula. Do not leave any baked batter residues on the heat plates, especially near the batter fill port.

CAUTION! Do not use metal or sharp cutlery as it may damage the heat plate surface!

1. Close and latch the top lid and pour in the batter if you want to make more waffles.

2. Once finished baking, unplug the power cord from the mains outlet and put the waffle maker aside until it cools down completely. Next, thoroughly clean the waffle maker.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Prior to commencing the cleaning (and after finishing the roasting), pull out the plug from the plug socket and allow the appliance to cool completely.
2. Thoroughly wipe the heating panels, clean the roaster edges using soft cloth or towel.
3. If complete removal of any food residuals from the surface of heating panels is problematic, pour some edible onto dirty surface and try to clean after about 5 minutes. Your efforts will be successful this time.
4. Wipe the external surface of the roaster using wet cloth.
5. Measuring cup ③ with lukewarm water and a detergent, rinse clean with water, and leave to dry.

ATTENTION! Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids! Do not wipe the inside of the appliance with acute, abrasive cloths or sponges, as this can damage the heating surfaces!
