Please observe the following instructions to avoid injuries.



DANGER TO LIFE AND RISK OF ACCIDENTS FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN! Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. The packaging material poses a suffocation hazard. Children frequently underestimate the dangers.
This product is not a toy. Keep away from children. Children are not able to understand the dangers that can arise when handling this product.
This device may be used by children age 8 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or lacking experience and / or knowledge, as long as they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the device and understand the associated risks. Do not allow children to play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision. Children younger than 8 years must be kept away from the appliance and from the mains cable.
⚠️ DANGER TO BIRDS! Birds breathe faster, distribute air differently in their bodies, and are visibly smaller than humans. Therefore, it can be very dangerous for birds to inhale even the smallest amounts of smoke which may arise from the operation of this product, which has a non-stick
coating. When you use this product, birds must be brought into another room.
The surfaces of this appliance may be hot when it is in operation. Therefore, you should only catch hold of the appliance during operation using the handles 5.
■ Always remove the mains plug from the socket before dismantling or cleaning the product.
■ Never immerse the appliance in water and protect it from spray and dripping water.
- Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning to prevent any danger of burns.
FOOD SAFE! This product has no adverse effect on taste or smell.

CAUTION!
To avoid damage to property, please observe the following provisions:
■ Never use abrasive, corrosive or
harsh cleaning agents. The appliance, as well as its non-stick coating, could become damaged in this way.
■ The appliance should not be operated with an external timer or a separate supervisory control system such as a remote-controlled socket.

Avoid the danger of death from electric shock!
- Verify the existing mains voltage corresponds to the required voltage of the device (220–240 V\~) before using it.
■ Always check the appliance and the mains supply for damage before connecting it to the mains. A damaged device represents the danger of death from electric shock. - Do not use the device if you detect any damage.
■ Please note that the guarantee
does not cover damage caused by incorrect handling, non-compliance with the operating instructions or interference with the device by unauthorised individuals.
■ Never disassemble the device. Improper repairs may result in considerable danger to the user. Always have repairs performed by a professional.
In the event of damage, repairs or other problems with the device, please consult an electrician.
■ Never leave the appliance unsupervised during operation so that you may intervene in a timely manner if malfunctions occur.
■ Please ensure that the socket is easy to access as the appliance does not have an on / off switch.
If the mains cable of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards.
■ Water and other liquids must never be allowed to leak into the appliance.
Therefore:
- never use it outdoors;
- never immerse it in liquids;
- never place it on objects filled with liquid, i. e. pots;
- never use it in very damp environments.
If even a little liquid gets into the appliance, immediately pull the plug and allow the appliance to be repaired by an electrician.
■ Only connect the appliance mains to a socket with earthed contacts.
■ The use of extension cables should be avoided. It is only permitted in very specific conditions:
- the extension cable must be suitable for the current strength of the appliance;
- the extension cable should not be laid, randomly': it should not be a tripping hazard or be within the reach of children;
- the extension cable should not be damaged;
- no other appliances other than this appliance should be connected to the mains socket, as otherwise the electricity grid could become overloaded (use of multiple sockets is prohibited).
■ Never touch the mains plug with damp or wet hands.
■ Always remove the mains cable from the mains plug. Never pull on the mains cable itself.
⚠️CAUTION! Never hang the device up by the mains cable!
■ Protect the mains cable from sharp edges, mechanical strain and hot surfaces.
■ Fully unwind the mains cable during operation to prevent the cable from overheating or melting.
- Keep the mains cable away from hot surfaces (i. e. stove tops).
■ Disconnect from the mains when the appliance will not be used
for an extended period of time (e.g. holidays).
Preventing injuries



Please observe the following instructions to avoid injuries.
■ Please be aware that while the waffles are cooking, hot steam may escape from the sides of the appliance.
■ Please be aware when removing the cooked waffles that they may be very hot.
- Do not reposition the appliance while it is in use. It will be hot while it is in use. This is how you avoid burning yourself.
■ Always allow the appliance to cool down before transporting or cleaning it.
■ Please ensure that the mains cable is never a tripping hazard, or that someone will become entangled in it or step on it and
injure themselves doing so.
Preventing fire hazards



As the appliance functions using high temperatures, please observe the following safety instructions so that no fire may arise.
■ The appliance must only be positioned on stable, even, dry and inflammable surfaces to prevent it from toppling over, shifting, or the base catching fire and the appliance being damaged as a result.
■ While positioning the appliance, ensure that there is a space of at least 50 cm between it and other objects so that it cannot catch fire.
Preventing damage to property

CAUTION! To avoid damage to property, please
observe the following provisions:
■ The appliance must not be placed on hot stove tops, pushed into a hot oven or positioned near gas and flow heaters, as this could lead to it being damaged.
■ Only use utensils made from wood or heat-resistant plastic. Utensils made from metal could damage the coated surfaces.
It cannot be ruled out that care products for storage shelves (furniture) may contain elements which corrode and soften the rubber feet. Therefore, place the appliance on a surface which is non-flammable.
- Do not place any objects on the appliance.
■ During thunderstorms, the appliance, which is connected to the power supply, may be damaged by lightning.
- Before first use
During production, many parts are covered with a thin oil film for their protection. Operate the appliance before first use without any batter so that any potential residues may be evaporated.
Note: The first few times the appliance is heated up, a faint odour may be present. Ensure sufficient ventilation in the area in this case.
Remove the appliance from its packaging.
☐ Ensure that the appliance is not damaged.
☐ Clean the appliance before first use. In doing so, observe the instructions in the section "Cleaning and Storage".
☐ Choose a place that is stable, even and inflammable. While doing so, ensure that there is a space of at least 50 cm between the appliance and other objects.
□ Fully unwind the mains cable.
☐ Insert the mains plug into a suitable mains socket.
- The red control light 1 will light up and the appliance will heat up.
- As soon as the operating temperature is reached, the green control light 2 will light up.
Leave the appliance switched on for approx. 15 minutes.
Lift the lid. Catch hold of the appliance using the handles 5 when doing so.
☐ Remove the mains plug and allow the appliance to cool down.
Clean the appliance again. In doing so, observe the instructions in the section "Cleaning and Storage".
Note: For reasons relating to the taste, you should not consume the first waffles you bake, but throw them away instead.
●Bakingwaffles
☐ Choose a place that is stable, even and inflammable. While doing so, ensure that there is a space of at least 50 cm between the appliance and other objects.
□ Fully unwind the mains cable.
☐ Lift the id and catch hold of the appliance using the handles 5 while doing so.
☐ Remove any dust present on the appliance with a dry towel if this is required.
□ Close the lid.
☐ Insert the mains plug into a suitable mains socket.
- The red control light 1 will light up and the appliance will heat up.
- As soon as the operating temperature is reached, the green control light 2 will light up.
- The appliance is now ready to use.
☐ Lift the lid and catch hold of the appliance using the handles while doing so.
Fill the baking mould with 1-2 tablespoons of waffle batter and distribute it evenly.
Note: Remove some of the batter with a wooden spatula if necessary and spread it evenly.
□ Close the lid.
Notes:
- The baking process takes approx. 3.5 minutes. Depending on how brown you want your waffles to be, the baking time chosen may be somewhat shorter or longer.
- While the waffles are baking, the green control light will turn off and on again. This is to regulate the required operating temperature.



When opening the lid, hot steam may come towards you. You should protect your hands using a tea towel or oven mitts.
As soon as the waffles are ready according to your preference, remove them from the appliance.
☐ Lift the lid. Catch hold of the appliance using the handles while doing so.
⚠️CAUTION! Only use utensils made from wood or heat-resistant plastic. Utensils made from metal could damage the coated surfaces.
☐ If you like, you can break off the excess pieces at the edges so that the waffles look better.
☐ Decorate the waffles however you want, i. e. with chocolate sauce, cream, vanilla ice-cream, strawberries, raspberries, cherries, icing sugar.
☐ Remove the mains plug from the mains power socket after use. This is the only way of ensuring that the appliance is completely disconnected from the power source.
- Cleaning and storage



To avoid the danger of electric shock or burns:
■ Remove the mains plug from the mains power socket before clean-
ing each time.
■ Never immerse the appliance in water and protect it from spray and dripping water.
- Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning to prevent any danger of burns.
⚠️ CAUTION! Never use abrasive, corrosive or harsh cleaning agents. The appliance, as well as its non-stick coating, could become damaged in this way.
Note: Do not wait too long before cleaning the appliance so that the bits of batter do not dry onto it and therefore become difficult to remove.
☐ Remove crumbs and bits of batter.
☐ Wipe the inside and the outside of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth. You can use a relatively mild detergent, however it must then be wiped again with clean water so that the waffles do not have a strange aftertaste.
□ Wipe with a dry cloth.
☐ To stow away the appliance, wind up the mains cable on the cable reel 9 (on the underside):
- wind the mains cable around the cable reel;
- secure the end of the mains cable by pushing it into the cable clip 8.

Belgian Waffles
Ingredients
5 eggs
250 g butter
200 g sugar
400 ml milk
500 g flour
2 packets of vanilla sugar
5 g baking powder
Preparation:
- Separate the eggs.
- Beat the egg whites until they are stiff and store them in a cool place.
- Beat the butter and sugar together until they are creamy.
- Add the egg yolks and milk a little at a time.
- Mix the flour and baking powder and add the mixture little by little.
- Stir in the vanilla sugar.
- Fold in the stiff egg whites and mix the batter for about 30 minutes.
- Cook the waffles (see the section "Baking waffles") (this can be replaced by a waffle mix).
Chocolate waffles
Ingredients
4 eggs
200 g soft butter
200 g sugar
80 g melted chocolate
200 g flour
150g cream
Preparation:
- Separate the eggs.
- Beat the egg whites until they are stiff and store them in a cool place.
- Beat the butter and sugar together until they are creamy.
- Add the egg yolks and the cream a little bit at a time.

Mix the flour and the melted chocolate and add the mixture little by little.

Fold in the stiff egg whites and mix the batter for about 30 minutes.
- Cook the waffles (see the section "Baking waffles") (this can be replaced by a waffle mix).
Whole Grain Waffles
Ingredients
4 eggs
150 g soft butter
200 g sugar
200 g spelt whole grain flour
200 g flour
500 ml mineral water
Preparation:
- Separate the eggs.
- Beat the egg whites until they are stiff and store them in a cool place.
- Beat the butter and sugar together until they are creamy.
- Add the egg yolks.
- Mix the flour, spelt whole grain flour and mineral water and add the mixture little by little.
- Fold in the stiff egg whites and mix the batter for about 30 minutes.
- Cook the waffles (see the section "Baking waffles") (this can be replaced by a waffle mix).

The packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials, which may be disposed of through your local recycling facilities.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly, not without household waste, when it has reached the end of its useful life. Please contact your local authority for information on collection points and their opening hours.

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase. This warranty becomes void if the device has been damaged or improperly used or maintained.
The warranty applies to faults in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.
