Frequently Asked Questions - OV 122 ECG

How do I change the battery?
Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Remove the old CR2032 battery and insert a new one with the positive side (+) facing up. Close the compartment securely.
Why does the scale show 'Err' or 'Lo'?
'Err' indicates an overload or unstable weighing. Remove weight and restart. 'Lo' means the battery is low; replace it with a new CR2032 battery.
Can I use the scale on carpet?
For accurate results, place the scale on a hard, flat surface like tile or wood flooring. Carpet can cause inaccurate readings.
How do I switch between kg, lb, and st?
Press the unit button on the back or bottom of the scale to cycle through kg, lb, and st. The display will show the selected unit.
What is the maximum weight for this scale?
The maximum capacity is 180 kg (396 lb). Do not exceed this limit to avoid damaging the scale.
How do I clean the scale without damaging it?
Use a damp cloth to wipe the glass surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
Why does the display show '0.0' after stepping on?
This is normal. The scale requires a few seconds to stabilize. Stand still until the reading locks. If it doesn't, check battery or surface.
Can I replace the battery with any coin cell?
Only use CR2032 lithium batteries. Other types may not provide correct voltage or fit properly.
My scale shows inconsistent readings. What can I do?
Ensure the scale is on a level, hard surface. Calibrate by turning it on and letting it show '0.0' before stepping on. Also check battery.
Is the scale covered by warranty?
Refer to the warranty card included. Typically, ECG scales have a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Keep your proof of purchase.

DESCRIPTION

  1. LCD display
  2. Solar panels
  3. Weighing surface

POWER

  1. The scale is powered by solar panels. It only operates with light (daylight or artificial).
  2. The scale will switch off if the light is too low. In this case, take the scale to an area with better light and wait for it to be activated.
  3. The recommended illuminance for using the scale is at least 70 lx. "0" flashes on the display when the scale is in standby mode.

USE

DO NOT COVER the solar panels when using the scale.

  1. The scale must be placed on a flat, hard and stable surface (not on a carpet, weighing would be inaccurate).
  2. Make sure the weight is placed in an area well lit by the sun or by artificial light and the panels are not covered. "0" begins flashing on the display.

Note: If "0" does not flash on the LCD display, improve the lighting or move the scale to an area with an illuminance of at least 70 lx. The scale will reactivate itself after 60–90 seconds (this period is shorter based on the intensity of the light).

  1. Step on to the scale carefully. “--” is shown on the display meaning the weighing process is under way. Stand straight on the scale, do not move and wait until your weight is shown on the display, stable (approx. 3 seconds).
  2. The LCD display shows the measured weight for about 12 seconds.
  3. After getting off the scale, the device will automatically switch into standby mode and "0" begins flashing on the display.
  4. After weighing yourself, put the scale away in a place where it will not interfere.

Adding weight

If, for example, you would like to determine the weight of your child, weigh yourself first (weight until the numbers become stable), then without getting off the weight, take your child into your hands. The display will show the weighing process and the weight will stabilize. Now you can see the total weight. Subtracting your own weight from the newly obtained value will give you the weight of your child.

Note: The weighed object must have more than 2 kg.

UNIT CONVERSION

The device can display your weight in the metric or imperial system.

You can switch units via the switch located on the bottom side of the scale.

Shifting the switch between positions converts the weight between kilograms (kg) and pounds (lb).

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

  1. The glass surface becomes slippery when wet. Keep dry!

  7. Keep the scale in a level position.
  8. If an error appears on the display and this problem persists for a longer period of time, please refer to your vendor for advice (do not forget that the scale is activated with solar panels reacting to light, to ensure proper functionality, place the scale into the dark and then again into the light).
