Why does the iron smoke or smell when first used?

This is normal. Oils used in manufacturing burn off during first use. Allow the iron to heat for about 10 minutes without garments until the odor disappears.

How do I fill the water tank?

Unplug the iron. Hold it horizontally and pour tap water into the water inlet. Do not exceed the MAX mark. For hard water, use distilled water.

Why does the iron not heat up?

Ensure the temperature dial is set to a desired level and the iron is plugged into a 220-240 V AC outlet. The pilot lamp should light up and go off when ready.

Why is there no steam?

Check if the water tank is at least 1/4 full. Set the temperature dial to at least '..' (wool) and the steam control to a steam position. Allow the iron to heat fully.

How do I use the burst of steam?

Set the temperature to at least '..' and steam control to maximum. Press the burst of steam button in short bursts (no longer than 5 seconds to avoid water leakage).

What is the anti-drip system?

The anti-drip system automatically prevents water dripping when ironing at low temperatures, allowing safe ironing of delicate fabrics without stains.

How do I clean the iron?

Unplug and let cool. Wipe the soleplate and body with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasives. Use the self-cleaning function regularly: fill tank halfway, heat to max, unplug, hold over sink, press self-cleaning button to flush out impurities.

Why does the iron leak water?

Leaking can occur if the temperature is too low for steam generation. Set a higher temperature. Also avoid pressing the burst of steam button too long. Ensure the steam control is set correctly.

Can I use the iron vertically?

Yes, for vertical steaming of hanging garments or curtains. Fill tank, set temperature and steam to maximum, hold iron vertically, and press the burst of steam button.

How do I store the iron after use?

Unplug, empty water tank, let cool completely. Wrap the cord around the heel rest and store the iron upright on its heel rest to protect the soleplate.

You may already be familiar with using a similar product, but do please take time to read these instructions – they have been written to ensure you get the very best from your purchase.

Safety Instructions

1. Please read this instruction manual before using the appliance and save it for future reference.
2. Before using the iron for first time, please check if the voltage rating on type plate corresponds to the mains voltage in your home.
3. The appliance is intended for household use only. Do not use for industrial purposes.
4. Do not use outdoors and in rooms with high humidity.
5. Do not immerse the iron and cord in water or any other liquids.
6. Never pull the cord while disconnecting from the power outlet; instead, grasp the plug only and pull to disconnect.
7. Keep the cord away from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
8. Always unplug the iron from the power outlet before filling or emptying the water tank and when not in use.
9. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after it has been immersed in water or damaged in any manner.
10. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance by yourself.
11. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced at an authorized service center, in order to avoid hazard.
12. Contact the nearest service center for examination, repair or adjustment of the iron.
13. Close supervision is necessary for this appliance being used near children.
14. Do not let children use the iron.
15. Do not leave the iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board.
16. Place the appliance on an ironing board carefully, in order to avoid damaging the soleplate.
17. Be careful not to touch hot metal parts of the iron.
18. Be careful around zippers and similar items to prevent the soleplate from scratching.
19. Do not place the iron on metal or rough surfaces.
20. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Suggestions before using the iron for the first time

1. Certain parts of the iron have been lightly greased therefore the iron could give off a little smoke when plugged in for the first time. This will cease after a short while.
2. Before using the iron for the first time, remove the plastic protector from the base (if it has one) clean the base with a soft cloth.
3. Keep the base very smooth. Do not run it over metal objects (such as against the ironing board, buttons, zips, etc.)
4. Pure wool fibres (100% wool) can be ironed with the appliance in the steam position by preference, select a high steam position and use a dry ironing cloth.

While assembling your product; you can realise that some water drop might be on the water tank and the product body. This is caused by our quality tests which confirm the 100 % workability of the product. The product did not be used before and it is produced to give you many years of trouble-free service.

Do not operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit, to avoid a circuit overload. If the appliance has been exposed to temperatures below 0^ C for some time, it should be kept at room temperature for at least 2 hours before using.

Before The First Use

Some parts of the steam iron have been slightly greased and as a result the iron may slightly smoke when switched on for the first time. After a short time this will cease. Remove protection cover from the soleplate and clean it with a soft cloth.

Temperature Setting

Always check whether a label with ironing instructions is attached to an article to be ironed. Follow these instructions in all cases. Turn the temperature control dial round to set the appropriate temperature indicated in ironing instructions or in fabric label.

Insert the main plug into the wall socket. The indicator light will turn on. When the indicator light goes out you may start ironing. If you set the temperature control to lower setting after ironing at a high temperature, it is not recommended to iron before the pilot light switches on again.

Water Tank Filling

Unplug the iron before filling the water tank. Hold the steam iron in horizontal position. Slowly pour water through the water inlet. Do not fill higher than mark on the water tank, in order to avoid spilling out of water.

Your steam iron is designed to use tap water, however, if the water is very hard, it is advisable to use distilled water. The water tank should be emptied after each use.

NOTE!

if you empty the water tank after the steam iron has cooled down, set the steam iron upright position on its heel rest, plug it in and set the temperature control dial to the maximum position, heat for 2 minutes. Unplug the steam iron from the power supply.

Steam Ironing

Set the temperature control dial to the “..” or “...” position. Set the variable steam control to the desired position.

CAUTION!

Avoid coming in contact with ejected steam.

Spraying

As long as there is enough water in the water tank, you may use the spray button at any temperature setting during steam or dry ironing.

Press the spray button several times to activate the pump while you are ironing.

Burst Of Steam

The burst of steam feature provides additional steam for removing stubborn wrinkles. Turn the temperature control to “..” or “...” position. Turn the variable steam control to the maximum position. Press the powerful steam button to release the burst of steam.

NOTE!

To prevent water leakage from the soleplate, do not keep the powerful steam button pressed for more than 5 seconds.

Vertical Steam

Ensure that there is enough water in the water tank. Place the steam iron on its heel rest and plug it. Set the temperature control dial and variable steam control to their maximum positions. Hold the iron vertically and press the steam burst button.

The steam iron can be used on the dry setting with or without water in the water tank, it is best to avoid having the water tank full while dry ironing. Turn the variable steam control to the minimum position. Select the setting on the temperature control dial best suited for the fabric to be ironed.

CAUTION!

If the steam iron has been used for a long time, it is hot and there is no water. Do not refill it with water until the steam iron cools down.

Self-cleaning

Fill the half of the water reservoir. Set the temperature control to its maximum position. Insert the main plug into the wall socket. Allow the iron to heat up until the indicator light goes out. Unplug the steam iron. Holding the iron horizontally over the sink, change the steam control to the maximum position. Boiling water and steam will be ejected from the holes in soleplate with impurities washed out. Move the iron over an old (preferably) piece of cloth. This ensures that the soleplate will be dry during storage.

When You Finished Ironing

Set the temperature dial to the minimum position. Remove the main plug from the wall socket. Stand the iron on heel rest.

Care And Cleaning

Before cleaning the steam iron ensure it is unplugged from the power supply and has completely cooled down. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Anti-calc System

A special resin filter inside the water reservoir softens the water and prevents scale build-up in the plate. The resin filter is permanent and does not need replacing.

Use tap water only. Distilled and/demineralized water makes the "Zero-Calc", anti-calc system ineffective by altering its physicochemical characteristics. Do not use chemical additives, scented substances or decalcifiers. Failure to comply with the above-mentioned regulations leads to the loss of guarantee.

Anti-drip System

With the anti-drip system, you can perfectly iron even the most delicate fabrics. Always iron these fabrics at low temperatures. The plate may cool down to the point where no more steam comes out, but rather drops of boiling water that can leave marks or stains. In these cases, the Anti-drip system automatically activates to prevent vaporization, so that you can iron the most delicate fabrics without risk of spoiling or staining them.

Storage

Unplug the appliance from the power supply, empty the water tank (do it after each use) and allow steam iron to cool down completely. Wrap the cord around the heel rest. To protect the soleplate, place the steam iron in an upright position on its heel rest.

Troubleshooting

Burst of steam feature does not work	The water tank can be empty and temperature button set to shouldn't steam.	The water tank must be at least 1/4 full. Temperature must be set to steam position. Iron should be in the horizontal position. Prime pump briefly. Allow a short pause between shots. Be sure to fully depress the burst of steam button.
Spry mist feature does not work	The water tank must be at least 1/4 full.	Fill the iron as described in the section “how to fill the water tank”.
Iron is leaking	Temperature should be set to low level.	The variable steam dial must be set on“,until the iron is hot. The temperature setting is too low to produce steam. Shot of steam used too much, allow iron to re-heat.
