What is the recommended safety distance between the hob and the hood?

For gas hobs, the distance must be at least 65 cm. For electric hobs, maintain a distance of 65-75 cm. If the gas cooker's installation manual specifies a greater distance, that must be observed.

Can I use the hood without the grease filter?

No. Never operate the appliance without the aluminum grease filter installed. The grease filter prevents grease buildup and reduces fire risk. Operating without it may cause damage and is unsafe.

How often should I clean the aluminum grease filter?

Clean the grease filter at least monthly to prevent grease accumulation, which is a fire hazard. Remove the filter, soak it in hot water with mild detergent, scrub gently, rinse, and dry before reinstalling. It is also dishwasher-safe (up to 60°C).

How do I replace the activated carbon filter?

First, disconnect the hood from power. Open the cover and remove the aluminum grease filter. The carbon filter is located on the air intake. Turn it anti-clockwise to remove and clockwise to install. Ensure it clicks into place. Replace the carbon filter every 6 months or more often with heavy use.

What should I do if the hood is not working?

Check the power supply and ensure the plug is properly connected. Verify the speed level is set. If still not working, inspect the grease filter for clogging and clean if needed. For recirculation mode, check the carbon filter. If problems persist, contact a qualified technician.

How do I change the LED light bulb?

Allow the lamps to cool down. Use a screwdriver to gently pry up the LED light from the edge. Pull the wire out slowly. Open the PCB box, disconnect the connector, and replace with a new LED bulb of the same type (2 x 2 W). Reassemble in reverse order.

Can I use the hood in recirculation mode?

Yes, if you do not have an external vent. You must install an activated carbon filter (model KF 561, not supplied) to absorb odors. The filtered air is then released back into the kitchen.

How do I operate the delay timer?

The delay timer only works while the motor is running. Press the delay button to activate; the maximum delay time is 9 minutes. Each press reduces the time by 1 minute. The hood will continue running and then automatically shut off.

What does the boost function do?

The boost function provides increased power for intensive steam and smoke extraction, such as when frying. It operates for 7 minutes and then automatically reduces to a lower speed.

Is the hood suitable for use over a gas stove?

Yes, but ensure the safety distance is at least 65 cm (or as specified by the gas cooker manual). Never flambé under the hood, and never leave a gas burner on without cookware, as excess heat can damage the hood.

• The extracted air may not be vented into a flue which is used for the waste gas from appliances which are powered by gas or other fuels.
• The requirements of the competent local authorities must be observed.

There must be a safety distance between the hot-plate of the cooking pot on the hob and the bottom part of the cooker hood:

You can operate the cooker hood in two modes:

Extraction mode Extraction mode

WARNING: WARNING:

• The extracted air may not be vented into a flue which is used for the waste gas from appliances which are powered by gas or other fuels.
• When venting the extracted air, comply with the regulations of the relevant local authorities.

The hood has an upper air outlet to vent cooking odours to the outside.

The extracted air is normally vented vertically. The extracted air can vented through the wall units and the loft floor to the roof ridge.

If there is a conduit under the wall units, the extraction duct can be routed so that the extracted air can be vented horizontally through the wall.

Recirculation mode Recirculation mode

If you do not have a direct extraction vent to the outside; the hood can also work in recirculation mode (i.e. without an extraction vent to the outside; the filtered air is released back into the room). In this case, an activated carbon filter as described under "Installing the activated carbon filter for recirculation mode", must be used.

• When assembling or inserting the extraction filter as well as the carbon filter, the appliance must not be connected to the mains.
• Failure to use the mounting fixtures may lead to a risk of electric shock.

CAUTION:

• Before mounting, check that the wall has sufficient load capacity to bear the cooker hood.
• When drilling the holes in the wall always make sure that no existing electrical cables or other objects are damaged.
• Make sure that the ventilation slots are clear of obstacles and are not covered.

NOTE: Recommendations for preparation work

• When installing, ask another person to assist.
• Wear protective gloves to prevent injuries from any sharp edges.
• Drill 8 holes in the wall to fix the casing.
• Insert wall plugs in the holes on the wall and insert 2 screws ST4*40 to fix the casing.
• Fix the hood on the wall and use safe screws ST4*30 to fix the casing.

• Fix screws ST4*40 on the wall.

• Fix the outside chimney.

• Use 2 screws ST4*8 to fix outside chimney on the hood, and then use screws ST4*40 to fix outside chimney on the wall.
• Pull out the inside chimney and fix the chimney on the wall.

- Attach a flexible extraction hose (not supplied) with an inner diameter of ∅150 mm onto the connecting piece.

• Ensure that your mains power corresponds with the specifications of the appliance. The specifications are printed on the rating label.
• Connect the mains cable to a properly installed and earthed wall outlet.
• If the plug after installation is not accessible, a corresponding disconnect device must be available to meet the relevant safety regulations.

• Open the cover and remove the aluminum grease filter.
• Place the carbon filter onto the air intake of the extraction duct. Make sure that the mounting pins on the extraction duct engage the mounting slots of the carbon filter. Turn the filter clockwise until it clicks into place.
• Reinstall the aluminum grease filter and close the cover.

• The installation to the mains supply must conform to the local standards and regulations.
• Improper connection may cause to an electric ele shockshock
• Do not modify the appliance plug. If the plug does not fit properly to the outlet, let install a proper outlet by an authorized specialist.
• The accessibility of the power plug must be ensured to disconnect the appliance from the power supply in case of emergency.

Settings

Power level: Display shows "1", "2" or "3".

Power level 1: Suitable for cooking on a low flame and for dishes which produce no or little steam, in order to circulate the air around the kitchen.

Power level 2: Suitable for normal cooking.

Power level 3: Suitable if large quantities of smoke and steam need to be extracted or filtered (e.g. when frying).

Delay time: The button only works, when the motor is working. The max. delay time is 9 minutes. By pressing this button, the time decreases for 1 minute each.

i NOTE:

With very strong vapor emission, the fan should continue running after cooking for a few minutes.

• Always turn off the appliance and disconnect from the power supply before cleaning and user maintenance.
• Allow the appliance cool down sufficiently!
• Do not use steam cleaners for cleaning the appliance; moisture could enter electrical components. Risk of electric shock! Risk steel electric shock damage the plastic parts.
• The appliance must be dry before restarting operation.

• To clean the surface of the housing, use a mild detergent and a soft cloth to prevent scratching.
• The appliance can be used again after everything has dried properly.
• If you use your cooker hood in recirculation mode, you must replace the activated carbon filter regularly (see "Replacing the activated carbon filter").

⚠️ WARNING: Risk of fire!WARNUNG: Risk of fire! Grease residue in aluminum grease filter may ignite at intense heat. Therefore, clean the grease filter regularly!

We recommend cleaning the grease filter monthly:

• Remove the aluminum grease filter by sliding back the lock in the handle recess, push the filter down gently and pull out towards the front.
• Rinse the grease filter in a solution of hot water and neutral detergent. Soak the filter in it.
• Then clean with a soft brush, rinse thoroughly with hot water and allow drying.

Lamp specification: LED, 2 x 2 W

• Use the screwdriver on the edge of the LED light to prize up it and pull the wire out slowly.
• When it is open, using the screwdriver prize up the PCB box and separate the connector and change it.

The booster-function only works with increased power, after 7 minutes the power will reduced.
