Frequently Asked Questions - DU 652 G BOMANN

How do I install the Bomann DU 652 G range hood?
The range hood should be installed by a qualified professional. Ensure it is at least 65 cm above an electric hob and 75 cm above a gas hob. Follow the manual for wall mounting and ducting or recirculation setup.
How often should I clean the grease filter?
Clean the aluminum grease filter every 4-6 weeks, or more frequently if you cook heavily. Wash it in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher at low temperature. Allow it to dry completely before reinserting.
Can I use the hood without ducting?
Yes, the hood can be used in recirculation mode with a charcoal filter (purchased separately). The charcoal filter absorbs odors and should be replaced every 3-6 months.
Why is my range hood noisy?
Excessive noise may be due to loose parts, dirty filters, or blocked ducting. First, clean the grease filter. If noise persists, check that all screws are tight and the duct is clear. The normal noise level is 65 dB.
How do I replace the LED bulbs?
Switch off the power. Remove the bulb cover by gently prying it off. Unscrew the old LED bulb (G4, 1.5W) and insert a new one. Reattach the cover. Use only specified bulbs.
What does the DU 652 G extraction rate mean?
The extraction rate of 400 m³/h indicates the volume of air the hood can move per hour. This is suitable for medium-sized kitchens. Higher speeds increase extraction.
Can I install a charcoal filter in this model?
Yes, the Bomann DU 652 G supports charcoal filters (model CF-652) for recirculation mode. The filter fits behind the grease filter. Replace it every 3-6 months depending on usage.
What should I do if the hood doesn't turn on?
Check if the power cord is plugged in and the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. Ensure the control buttons are not stuck. If still not working, contact Bomann customer service.
Is it safe to cook with gas under the hood?
Yes, but always ensure adequate ventilation. Do not leave open flames unattended. The hood should be installed at least 75 cm above a gas hob to avoid heat damage.
Where can I find spare parts for the DU 652 G?
Spare parts like grease filters, charcoal filters, and LED bulbs are available online through Bomann retailers or directly from Bomann customer service. Use part numbers from the manual.
