When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed:

Before use, first read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.

Before first use, remove the packaging material and tear off the protective films on the lid and outer casing (please respect the environment!). Then wash the accessories and inner tub in warm water. Dry well before use. Make sure that the electrical parts remain dry. The fryer is equipped with an adjustable thermostat and indicator lights. The “open” frying system ensures excellent professional results and easy cleaning.

Only connect this device to a grounded outlet.

This device is intended for use in private households.

Keep these instructions for future reference!

IMPORTANT!

• Always place the fryer on a stable surface and keep all combustible materials away.
• Do not place the fryer near or on a hot plate that is in use.
• Before connecting the appliance to the mains, make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating plate is the same as that of the mains.
• Before use, the deep fryer must be filled with the required amount of oil or fat.
• Never use the deep fryer without oil or fat, as this could damage the appliance.
• Never move the deep fryer during use. The oil becomes very hot and you can get burned. Wait until the oil has cooled down before moving the deep fryer.
• This deep fryer is equipped with a thermal safety device that automatically switches off the device in case of overheating. Never immerse the control and heating element in water and do not clean these parts under running water.
• Never operate the fryer without oil or liquid fat. Use only oil or fat that does not foam and is suitable for deep-frying.
• Hot surface: the temperature of the metal surface that may become hot when the appliance is in use. Do not touch the metal surfaces of the appliance during use.
• Do not put oversized food into the deep fryer. Please refer to the frying tips for information on the quantities of each food to be fried.
• Hot steam is released during frying. Keep a safe distance from the steam to avoid burns and other injuries.
• After use, set the thermostat to the lowest setting (turn the thermostat all the way counterclockwise). Unplug the appliance and let the oil or fat cool down. Do not move the deep fryer until it and its contents have cooled down. Do not use any accessories that were not included with the appliance.
• Keep the appliance out of reach of children. Do not place the appliance near a gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors or for commercial purposes. Never overheat the oil/fat, as it may catch fire. Never extinguish a fire in a deep-frying oil with water.

• Never leave the deep fryer unattended while in use. Always ensure the safety of children in the vicinity of the deep fryer. If the deep fryer and/or the cable are damaged, they must be repaired by a professional.

• Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself or replace a damaged cable. Special tools are required for this.

• Be careful not to damage the heating element. (Do not bend or dent it.)
• The electrical component is equipped with a safety cut-out that ensures the heating element only works when the element is correctly placed on the deep fryer.
• In the event of overheating, the thermal protection device automatically switches the deep fryer off. This device can be reactivated by pressing the button with a pointed object (e.g. a ballpoint pen) through a hole on the back of the cable storage compartment marked with the word "Restart". Before reactivating, unplug the fryer and wait for the system to cool down.

Operating the deep fryer

1. This type of deep fryer may only be used with oil or liquid fat and is not suitable for use with solid fat. Solid fat may contain water, which can cause hot fat to splatter when heated
2. Never turn on the fryer without oil or fat, as this could damage the machine. Also, do not add other liquids such as water or other substances to the pan.
3. Place the fryer on a dry, stable surface.
4. Since the fryer gets hot during use, make sure that it is not too close to other objects.
5. Remove the lid from the fryer and take out the basket.
6. Fill the fryer with the desired amount of oil or fat. Make sure that the amount is not below the minimum level and not above the maximum level, as indicated on the inside of the appliance. For best results, we recommend not mixing different types of oil.
7. Select the temperature that is suitable for frying. Refer to the temperature chart.
8. Use the handle to place the basket in the fryer.
9. Place the food to be fried in the basket.
10. For best results, place dry food in the basket.
11. Lower the basket slowly into the oil to avoid excessive bubbling.
12. The oil must be preheated. The red indicator light will come on when the fryer is connected to the power supply.
13. Raise the basket again after the frying time has elapsed.
14. Unplug the fryer from the wall socket.
15. Once the fryer has cooled completely, you can put the basket back in the appliance and store it. Store the fryer with the lid closed in a dark, dry place. This way, you can leave the oil and basket in the fryer when you store it.
16. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service department or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

WARNING: To avoid a hazard due to accidental resetting of the temperature limiter, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly turned on and off by the utility.

The appliance is not intended for use with an external timer or separate remote control system.

The device must not be immersed in water.

This device is not intended for use by children aged 0 to 8 years. This device can be used by children aged 8 years and above if they are supervised at all times. This device can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Keep the appliance and power cord out of reach of children under 8 years of age. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children. The cooking appliance should be placed on a stable surface, positioning the handles (if any) in a way that avoids spillage of hot liquids.

FRYING TIPS:

This fryer can hold a maximum of 1.6 kg of food, but for a good frying result, we recommend using 200 grams of French fries per liter of oil. For frozen products, we recommend using 150 grams per liter of oil, as they cool quickly. Shake frozen products over the sink to remove excess ice. For French fries made from fresh potatoes: Dry French fries after washing to prevent water from getting into the oil. Deep-fry French fries in two steps. First step (pre-frying): 5 to 10 minutes at 170 °C. Second step (final frying): 2 to 4 minutes at 190 °C. Allow to drain well.

Changing the oil

Before changing the oil, make sure that the deep fryer and the oil have cooled down completely (unplug the appliance!). Change the oil regularly. This is essential if the oil turns dark or takes on a different smell. In any case, the oil should be changed after 10 uses. Change the oil all at once; do not mix old and new oil. Used oil pollutes the environment. Do not throw it away in the normal rubbish bin, but follow the guidelines of the municipal waste disposal service in your area.

Cleaning and maintenance

Clean the fryer regularly, both inside and out. Clean the outside of the fryer with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft, clean cloth. Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. The basket and handle can be cleaned in warm soapy water. Dry well before using again. When changing the oil, you can also clean the inside of the fryer. Empty the fryer and clean the inside first with a paper towel and then with a cloth dipped in soapy water. Then wipe with a damp cloth and allow the fryer to dry thoroughly. All components, except the electrical parts, can be cleaned in warm soapy water. Dry thoroughly before use. Cleaning in the dishwasher is not recommended.

WARRANTY

The components are quality products. They were designed taking into consideration the latest technical knowledge, and carefully constructed using a standard, good quality material.

The warranty period is 24 months from the time of handover, which must be confirmed through a sales receipt, invoice or delivery note. Within the warranty period, any functional defects in the components will be fixed by our customer service team if these can be shown to be the result of a material defect that has arisen despite prudent handling in accordance with our operating instructions.

The warranty will include repairing defective parts or providing properly functioning replacements free of charge and at our discretion. Any parts that are replaced will become our property. The repair or replacement of individual parts does not result in an extension to the warranty period, nor is there a new warranty period for the specific components affected. There is no separate warranty period for built-in spare parts. We offer no warranty for damage or defects affecting components or their parts if these are caused by excessive use, or incorrect handling or maintenance. The same applies for failure to follow the operating instructions and for the installation of spare parts or accessories not listed in our range. Warranty claims shall be void in the event of interference or modifications to components by unauthorised individuals.

The warranty does not cover parts that are subject to natural wear and tear. In the event of a warranty claim, fault, need for a spare part or accessory, please contact the customer support centre specified here:
