  • All safety instructions must be closely followed when using the appliance.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children unless they are over 8 years old and are under supervision. Keep this appliance and its power cable out of reach of children under the age of 8.

- Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service or similar qualified personnel to avoid risks.

- This symbol means "Caution, Hot Surface". Accessible surfaces are likely to heat up during use.

  • This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
  • WARNING: the filling opening must not be opened during operation.
  • WARNING: take precautions to avoid spillage of liquids on the cable.
  • WARNING: incorrect or improper use can be dangerous for the user and damage the appliance. Use the appliance only for the purposes described in this manual. The surface of the heating element is subject to residual heat after use.
  • Ensure that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the appliance rating label and that the plug is earthed.
  • Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid or expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the device.
  • Do not twist, bend, pull, or damage the power cable. Protect it from sharp edges and heat sources. Do not allow the cable to touch hot surfaces. Do not let the cable hang over the edge of the working surface or worktop.
  • Turn off and unplug the appliance from the mains supply when not in use and before cleaning it. Pull from the plug, not the cable, to disconnect it from the outlet.
  • Place the appliance on a dry, stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
  • Do not use the appliance under the following circumstances:

A. On or near a gas or electric hob, in heated ovens, or near open flames.
B. On soft surfaces (such as carpets) or where it may tip over during use.
C. Outdoors or in areas with high humidity levels.

  • Do not wash the appliance in dishwashers.
  • Maintain a minimum safety distance of 20 cm to the sides and 30 cm on top of the appliance when in operation.
  • Do not place the appliance under cabinets or kitchen furniture, as the steam emitted may damage them.
  • Do not overfill the filter.
  • Do not operate the appliance without water.
  • Never use the appliance without a suitable container under the coffee spout.
  • Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by or near children.

2. BEFORE USE

- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.

- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

Preparing to use the coffee machine for the first time

  1. Place the coffee machine on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
  2. Unlock the machine by lifting the handle. Place one of the adapters at the front of the appliance and push it in until the front panels are aligned. Lock the coffee machine by lowering the handle.
  3. Fill the water tank with drinking water at room temperature. Respect the indicated limit. You can also remove the water tank from the appliance and fill it with water.

ENGLISH

NOTE: when removing and inserting the water tank, it must be kept in an upright position. Gently press down on the water tank when inserting it to ensure that it is secure and properly connected to the base.

  1. Place a large capacity cup under the coffee spout.
  2. Plug the power cable into the outlet. Turn on the machine by pressing the power button. At this point, it will enter preheat mode and the power indicator light will flash intermittently.
  3. When preheating is complete, all indicator lights will remain on. The coffee machine is now ready for use.
  4. Press either the large cup button or the small cup button, the pump will start, and water will flow out of the spout.

Cleaning

The first time you use the appliance, or if you have not used it for a long time, it is advisable to let it dispense water (i.e. do not add any coffee) to clean the inner tube.

  1. Press the large cup button; the pump will start, and water will flow out of the appliance to clean the inside of the machine.
  2. Empty the residual water from the cup previously placed under the dispenser.
  3. Repeat the operation until the dispensed water is completely clean.
  4. When you have finished cleaning the appliance, empty the residual water from the drip tray.

3. OPERATION

Operation

  1. Fill the water tank with clean water, respecting the mark.
  2. Plug the power cable into the outlet. Press the power button, the corresponding indicator light will switch on, indicating that the machine is preheating. When preheating is complete, all indicator lights will remain on.

NOTE: each adapter is associated with a type of pod, single-serve pod, or ground coffee.

  1. Unlock the machine by lifting the handle. Place the adapter corresponding to the type of coffee to be used on the front of the appliance and insert it until the front panels are aligned. Next, lock the appliance by lowering the handle.
  2. Place a cup under the coffee spout.
  3. Press the small or large cup button so that the appliance starts brewing coffee. If you press the same button again, the brewing process will be interrupted.

Sizes

  1. Press the small cup button once: if 1.5 seconds have passed since you have pressed the small cup button and no operation has been performed, the machine will not fill the cup completely, according to the factory default setting.
    NOTE: the indicator light on the small cup will flash rapidly, while the power indicator light and the indicator light on the large cup will remain steady.
  2. Press the small cup button twice in succession (no more than 1.5 seconds after the first press): the appliance will dispense enough coffee to fill a small cup, according to the factory default setting.
    NOTE: the indicator light on the small cup will flash slowly, while the power indicator light and the indicator light on the large cup will remain steady.
  3. Press the large cup button once: if 1.5 seconds have passed since you have pressed the large cup button and no operation has been performed, the machine will not fill the cup completely, according to the factory default setting.
    NOTE: the indicator light on the large cup will flash rapidly, while the power indicator light and the indicator light on the small cup will remain steady.

WARNING: do not lift the handle while the coffee is brewing to avoid possible injury. Lift the handle only when all indicator lights are on.

Using the adapters

Ground coffee

  1. Select the one or two cups filter and fill it with ground coffee.
  2. Press the ground coffee using the pressing spoon. Do not overfill the filter. This could cause a blockage or overflow.

WARNING: the maximum amount of ground coffee for a one-cup filter is 7 grams. The maximum amount of ground coffee for a two-cup filter is 14 grams.

  1. Place the filter with the ground coffee in the adapter. To do this, align the slot on the filter with the slot on the bottom left of the adapter. Then, turn the filter clockwise.

ATTENTION: if the filter is correctly fitted, you should be able to rotate the adapter without it falling out.

  1. Close the adapter cover.

Single-serve filter with the ground coffee adapter

  1. Place the ESE single-serve pod in the corresponding filter.
  2. Place the filled filter into the adapter. To do this, align the slot on the filter with the slot on the bottom left of the adapter. Then, turn the filter clockwise.

ATTENTION: if the filter is correctly fitted, you should be able to rotate the adapter without it falling out.

  1. Close the adapter cover.

Nespresso/Dolce Gusto/Senseo pods

  1. Open the adapter cover, insert the pod into the compartment and press it in by hand to ensure that it has been punctured.
  2. Close the adapter cover.

Adjusting the amount of dispensed coffee

  1. Press and hold the large cup button for more than 1.5 seconds to enter the setting mode.

  2. When three beeps sound, release the button.

  3. When the machine has dispensed the desired amount of coffee, press the large cup button again. A beep will sound to indicate that the appliance has successfully registered the amount. Adjust the amount of coffee dispensed according to your personal taste. This value will be permanently recorded.

NOTE

  • If you press and hold down the large cup button for less than 10 seconds, the appliance will detect that the setting of the amount has not been made correctly and will therefore revert to the factory setting.
  • Minimum adjustment time: 10 seconds. Maximum adjustment time: 60 seconds.
  • You can only adjust the amount of coffee dispensed from the large cup button.
  • If you reset the machine to the factory settings, the set amount of dispensed coffee will be lost.

Resetting to factory settings

  1. Make sure that the machine is plugged into the mains and switched on.
  2. Press and hold the small cup button for 5 seconds. All indicator lights will flash 5 times, indicating that the factory defaults have been successfully reset.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

When you have finished using the appliance, be sure to disconnect it from the mains. We recommend that you carry out the following on a regular basis:

Cleaning the water tank

  1. Grasp both sides of the water tank to lift it up and remove it from the appliance.
  2. Wash with a mild cleaning agent, rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft, clean cloth. Clean the water tank and adapters at least once a week.

WARNING: the water tank and adapters are not dishwasher safe.

Descaling

In order for the coffee machine to work properly, it is advisable to descale it regularly. Carry out the following steps:

  1. Put about 10 grams of descaling agent in the water tank and fill it to the maximum level, about two fingers below the limit.
  2. Switch on the machine by pressing the power button and wait for the preheating process to complete.
  3. Place a large capacity cup under the coffee spout.

ENGLISH

  1. Press and hold the large cup and the small cup buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. The descaling process will begin. The water with the descaling agent will pass through the internal pipe of the machine and will then be ejected from the spout. The descaling process will be deactivated when the water tank is emptied.

WARNING: you can pause the descaling process by pressing the power button (a beep will sound). If you press and hold the power button for 1.5 seconds, the appliance will enter standby mode.

  1. When the descaling process is completed, press the small cup button and the large cup button at the same time for 3 seconds to restart it.
  2. Fill the water tank with clean water.
  3. Press the large cup button; the pump will start, and water will flow out of the appliance to clean the inside of the machine. Repeat this operation 5 times (make sure it is clean water). The descaling process is now complete.

Cleaning the coffee machine

  1. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
  2. Use a clean, damp cloth or sponge to clean the outside of the appliance and its accessories.

WARNING: never use alcohol or solvents to clean the appliance, nor immerse it in water to clean it.

5. TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Cause Solution
No coffee comes outThere is not enough water in the tank.Fill up the water tank.
Water tank is not correctly positioned.Check if it is correctly positioned.
The coffee machine does not preheat.Wait for the preheating process to complete. All indicator lights will stay on when the machine is ready.
The machine does not turn on.Check that it is connected to the mains and press the power button.
Brewed espressos do not have creamThe ground coffee is too coarse or too fine. You may not have pressed it properly with the pressing spoon.Use a different type of ground coffee and press it correctly.
Too much or too little coffee comes outYou have put too much or too little ground coffee.To calculate the correct amount of ground coffee to put in, follow the reference below: one cup = 1 tablespoon, and press it with the pressing spoon. The ground coffee should be neither too fine nor too coarse.
Pods from the same batch may be different.Differences between pods of the same batch are normal.
You have not inserted the single-serve pod correctly.Place the single-serve pod correctly.
