Frequently Asked Questions - TLM12001 Vevor

How to set the temperature on the Vevor TLM12001 heat press?
Press the SET button once. The upper display shows SP and the lower display shows the last temperature. Use to increase or to decrease the value. Press SET again to confirm.
How to set the pressing time?
After setting the temperature, press SET a second time. The upper display shows ST and the lower display shows the last time. Use or to adjust (0-999 seconds). Press SET to save.
How to calibrate the press pressure?
Turn the pressure knob counterclockwise to reduce pressure. Place a sheet of paper between the plates, close the press, and pull the paper. If the paper moves, turn the knob clockwise until it no longer moves. This setting corresponds to medium pressure.
What to do if the heating plate does not heat up?
Check that the press is plugged in and the power switch is set to ON. Make sure the set temperature is above room temperature. If the OUT indicator does not light up, contact customer service.
How to prevent the design from burning?
Use the recommended temperature and time for your substrate. Do not exceed 200 °C for delicate fabrics. Perform a test on a sample. Use a protective cloth between the plate and the design.
Can I use the press for cups?
Yes, with an appropriate accessory (cup press). The standard base plate is flat, ideal for fabrics. For cups, use a curved heating element sold separately.
How to clean the heating plate?
Let the plate cool completely. Clean it with a damp cloth without abrasive products. Never use water directly on the plate to avoid electric shock.
What to do if the design is blurry?
A blurry design may be due to too low temperature or insufficient pressing time. Also check the pressure distribution. If the blur is partial, the plate may not be perfectly flat – contact customer service.
How to change the temperature unit from °C to °F?
Press SET three times to access the CF parameter. Use or to toggle between C (Celsius) and F (Fahrenheit). Press SET to save.
What safety precautions should I take?
Always unplug the press when moving or installing accessories. Use on a stable, fireproof surface. Do not touch the hot plate. Wear heat-resistant gloves. Do not use in a humid environment.

It is normal for the silicone pad to generate a small amount of smoke when the product is used, and it will disappear on its own after being heated for a few times.

● Before Use Suggestion

The Pressure Adjustment Knob controls the amount of force that will be used to push the transferred image into the fibers of the garment.

Clockwise increases pressure. Counterclockwise decreases it.

The Control Panel on the right upper face of the casing is where you set heat and time requirements of your project. These will vary depending on the vinyl or transfer paper used.

The handle opens and closes the top and bottom heated platens of the revolve press.

- How to calibrate your heat press machine

  1. Turn the pressure knob counterclockwise a few times to lower the pressure on the platens.
  2. Place a piece of paper onto the bottom of the platen.
  3. Close the revolve press using the handle.
  4. Pull on the paper.
  5. If the paper moves at all, turn the knob clockwise and try again.
  6. Try again and repeat until the paper doesn't move at all. This is your "Medium" pressure. From the "Medium" setting, high pressure will be clockwise one to two turns. Low pressure will be counterclockwise one to two turns. (The number of turns will depend on the thickness of the garment.)

6. PRINTING METHODS

  1. Adjust pressure to your requirement (Please refer to "how to calibrate your heat press machine" suggestion). Plug in the power cord and turn the power switch ON.
  2. The temperature will automatically start to rise. In this time you can set the transfer temperature and press time.
  3. Once the temperature rises to the set temperature, the buzzer will emit a short "BEEP" sound.
  4. Place the object (i.e., T-shirt) on the press bed. Pull down the handle to press the object. Then press the "▼" button to start countdown time.
  5. Wait for the time to finish, which ends with a long buzzer sound. (Note: There will be about 5 seconds for the long buzzer to notify you that it has finished; after that, a short buzzer will appear to notify you whether you still go or next work.)
  6. Work finish and take out object.
  7. Turn off the power switch.

Pale color:

The temperature is too low/the pressure is not correct/or not pressed long enough.

Blurring Patter: Too much transfer time causes proliferation.

Part Blurring of Pattern: Heat was incorrectly

distributed through the heat plate.

Allow more time between press operations.

Pressure distribution can also be the cause,

which can be set on the four plate surface adjusters.

Please note that it has been factory set,

and there should be no need to adjust them.

Dull Surface of Pattern: The pressure is too large,

or the temperature is too high.

Scarred Pattern transfer time is too long.

Different Pattern Color: The pressure is incorrect,

or the transfer paper is poor quality.

Adhesive Paper: the temperature is too high or poor printing ink.

Ps. Pattern material always uses heat transfer paper and DTF film
