Before You Begin
□ Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
□ Shut off the water supplies.
□ Carefully inspect waste and supply tubing for any sign of damage and replace if necessary.
☐ For new installations, assemble the faucet on the sink before installing the sink.
☐ Before installation, unpack the new faucet and inspect it for damage. Return the faucet to the carton until you are ready to install it.
□ Contains anti-siphon valving.
☐ Do not straighten the faucet supply tubes until the faucet is installed to the sink.
☐ Kohler Co. reserves the right to make revisions in the design of faucets without notice, as specified in the Price Book.

Faucet Apply plumbers putty. Escutcheon Supply Hoses Threaded Stud Gasket Hose Outlet Sink Bracket Washer Nut1. Faucet Installation

CAUTION: Risk of restricted water flow and product damage. Use extreme care when bending the supply hoses to avoid kinking.
☐ Slide the gasket over the faucet supply hoses and against the faucet underside.
□ Feed the faucet and hose supply hoses through the sink hole.
□ Position the faucet on the sink to obtain the desired alignment.
□ Fit the bracket and washer on the threaded stud.
□ Secure the bracket and washer with the nut.
□ Carefully bend the supply hoses straight.

□ Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside of the spray escutcheon according to the manufacturer's instructions.
☐ Insert the spray escutcheon into the sink hole.
☐ Hand tighten the nut to secure the spray escutcheon in place.
☐ Insert the handspray hose into the spray escutcheon.
□ Connect the hose to the hose outlet and tighten the hose connection.
3. Supply Installation
NOTE: If the sink is not installed, install it at this time. Be sure to follow all instructions packed with the sink.
For ground joint connections:
□ Connect and tighten the supply tubes to the supply stops. Left is hot, right is cold.
For compression connections:
☐ Assemble the compression fittings to the supply tubes and supply stops.
□ Connect and tighten the fittings. Left is hot, right is cold.

Spout Aerator4. Checkout Installation
- Remove the aerator from the end of the spout by turning it counterclockwise.
□ Turn on the main water supply.
□ Open the faucet handle to the ON position.
☐ Flush hot then cold water through the faucet for about one minute.
☐ Push the faucet handle down to the OFF position.
☐ Reattach the aerator by turning it clockwise.

Handle Screw O-Ring Plug Button Bonnet Valve Stem Stop Tab Mounting Nut Top Disc Indexer Splines5. Water Temperature Adjustment
NOTE: Before adjusting the water temperature, ensure that the handle is turned all the way to the left. This is the maximum hot position.
□ Remove the plug button, O-ring, and screw from the handle.
□ Remove the handle and bonnet from the faucet body.
☐ Lift the valve stem up and off the stop tab. The water will turn on.
□ Align the stop tab with the mounting nut to establish the maximum temperature.
☐ Mark the maximum temperature on the mounting nut with a marker or pencil.
☐ Lift up the indexer and disk to clear the splines.
NOTE: Each spline notch represents approximately 9.5^ F ( 5.3^ C).
☐ Turn the indexer, disk and valve stem counterclockwise, until the temperature is properly adjusted.
☐ Push down the indexer and disk to cover the splines after the temperature is adjusted. Ensure that the disk is fully snapped into the indexer.
☐ Push the valve stem down onto the stop tab. The water will turn off.
☐ Reinstall the bonnet, handle, O-ring, screw, and plug button.
