Childlock
You can activate the Automatic childlock setting to prevent children from starting the dishwasher. See the chapter Settings. You can also temporarily activate and deactivate the Child lock function. Press and hold for three seconds.

Overflowguard
Theoverflowguardstartspumpingoutthewaterandturnsoffthewatersupplyifthewaterlevel in thedishwasherexceedsthenormallve1.1ftheoverflowguarddistriggered,F54(Overfillingwater) appearsonthedisplay.Turnoffthewatertapandcontactyournearestservicecentre.(Toavoid waterleakageoutsidethedishwasher,donotremovetheplugfromthewallsocketuntilthewater taponthesupplylinehasbeenturnedoff!)
Packaging
Theouterpackagingprotectstheproductduringtransport. Thepackagingmaterialisrecyclable. Separatethedifferentpackagingmaterialstohelpproducerawmaterialuseandwaste. Yourdealer cantakethepackagingforrecyclingordirectyoutothenearestrecyclingcentre. Thepackaging iscomprisedof:

Waterhardness
Inordertoachievegooddishwashingresults,thedishwasherneedssoftwater(waterwithlowmineral content).Hardwaterleavesawhitecoatingondishesandthedishwasher.
Checkingwaterhardness
Waterhardnessisspecified using Germandegreesofwaterhardness(°dH), Frenchdegreesof waterhardness(°fH), Englishdegreesofwaterhardness(°eH)ormillimolesperlitre(mmol/l).
Awatersupplywithawaterhardnessinexcessof5°dH(9°fH/6°eH/0.9mmol/l)mustbesoftened. Thisisdoneautomaticallywiththeaidofthebuilt-inwatersoftener. Inorderforthewatersoftener tofunctionproperly,itssettingsmustbeadjustedtothehardnesssoftthewatersupply.Onceyou haveadjustedthewatersoftenersettings,adddetergentandrinseaidindoosessuitableforsoft water.

Increasedconsumptionduringregeneration
Thedishwasher'sbuilt-inwatersoftenerisregularlyregeneratedtomaintainsfunction.Regeneration extendshedishwashingprogramandincreasesenergyandwaterconsumption.Justhowoften thedishwasher'swatersoftenerisregenerateddependsontheselectedsetting.
Example:IftheEcoprogramisrunwithwaterhardnessof 14^(25^ / 18^ / 2.5mmol / l) ,the watersoftenerisgeneratedatregularintervals(after7dishwashingcycles),energyconsumption increasesby0.015kWh,andwaterconsumptionincreasesby2.3litres,whiletheprogramtimeis extendedby3minutes.Regenerationtakesplaceduringheprogram'smainwash.

Thedishwashingprogramisdesignedforaneffectivewashusingaslittleenergyandwateraspotible.Theprogramwashesatalowtemperaturereformalongtime.
Selection-Autodooropen
Better drying results are achieved if you use the Autodoor option, which automatically opens the dishwasher door. Wait until the dishwasher indicates that the program has ended and the dishes have cooled before downloading the dishwasher. (If the dishwasher is built-in, the surrounding furnishings must be resistant to any condensation from the dishwasher.)
Connecttocoldwater
Connectthedishwashertothecoldwatersupplyifthebuildingisheatedusingoil,electricityorgas.
Connecttohotwater
Connectthedishwashertothehotwatersupply(max. 70^) ifthebuildingisheatedusing an energy-efficientmeansuchasdistrictheating, solarpowerorgeothermalpower. Choosingahot waterconnectionreduceshedishwasher'senergyconsumption.
NOTE!
Donotexceedthe permitted watersupplytemperature. Certain materials used in some cookware cannot withstand high heat. See Fragile dishes in the chapter Loading the dishwasher.
Fragiledishes
Somecookwareisnotdishwashersafe. This can beforeseveralreasons. Somematerialscannot withstandhighheat, otherscanbedamagedbydishwasher detergent.
Exercise caution with,forexample,handmade items,fragiledecoration,crystal/glassware,silver, copper,tin,aluminium,woodandplastic.Lookforthe"Dishwashersafe"marking.
Fragiledecoration
Porcelainwithdecorationontopoftheglazing(theitemsfeelrough)shouldnotbewashedindishwasher.
Crystal/Glass
Washcrystalatalowtemperature.Remembertouseasmallamountofdetergentandtoplaceitems sothattheydonottoucheachotherduringthewash.
Dryingis faster and better result is achieved if you user in sead. You will also achieve better dishwashing result with clear and spotless dishes.
Hand-paintedglassware, aswellasantiqueandveryfragileitems, shouldnotbewashedina dishwasher.
Silver
Silverandstainlesssteelitemsshouldnotcomeintocontact,asthesilvercanbecomediscoloured.
Inordertoavoidmarksandtarnishing,separatedishesmadefromdifferentmetals,suchassilver, stainlesssteelandaluminium.
Aluminium
Aluminiumcanloseitsshineifwashedinadishwasher.However,goodqualityaluminiumpanscan bewashedinadishwasher,evenifsomeoftheshinenewillbelost.
Cutlerywithgluedhandles
Sometypesofgluearenotdishwashersafe.Insuchcases,thehandlesmayloosen.
Loadingaffectstheresults
Loadthedishescarefullytoensurethebestwashinganddryingresultswiththelowestpossible energyandwaterconsumption.Giveyourdishwasherthebestchancetoreachandcleanallsurfaces, aswellastodrythedishesasthoroughlyaspossible.
- All dirty surfaces should face inwards and downwards!
- Dishessshouldnotbeplacedinoroneachother.

Theappearanceofthebasketsmaydifferdependingonthedishwashersetup.
Upperbasket
Place glasses, cups, bowls, side plates and saucers in the upper basket. All dirty surfaces should face inwards and down towards! Wine glasses are placed on the wine glass shelf and knives are placed in the knifestand on the right.

Raisingandloweringtheupperbasket
1.Pullouttheupperbasket.(Thebasketmustbeempty.)
2.Turnthebasketcatchoutwardsattheendofbothrunners.
3. Grip the upper basket with both hands, pull it out and move the upper basket to its other position.
4. Turnback the basket catchchatthe endof both runners.

Lowerbasket
Placeplates, sideplates, servingdishes, potsandcutlery (inthecutlerybasket) inthelowerbasket.

Cutlerybasket
Placecutlerywiththehandlesfacingdown,exceptforknives,andspreadhemoutasmuchas possible.Ensurethatspoonsdonotstackinsideeachother.
Thecutlerybasketisbestplacedinthemiddleatthefrontofthelowerbaskettobestutiliseddishwashingperformancefromtheuniquesprayzoneintendedforthecutlerybasket.

Knivesandotherpointeditemsmustbeplacedwiththepointsdowninthecutlerybasketor horizontallyinotherbaskets.

Main wash detergent
Close the lid
The detergent compartment must bedry when adding detergent. There is one compartment for the prewash and other main wash. If dishwasher detergent powder or dishwasher detergent gel is used, you can add small amounts of the detergent to the prewash compartment. If you have questions about the detergent, contact the detergent manufacturer.
NOTE!
Useonlydishwasher detergent! Washingupliquidmustnotbeusedasthefoamthatforms preventsthedishwasherfromoperatingeffectively.
All-in-one detergent
Therearemanytypesofall-in-onedetergentsonthemarket.Readthroughedirectionsforthese productscarefully.
ActivatetheTABsettingwhenusinganall-in-onedetergentthatcontainsrineaid.
Dishwashertabletsarenotrecommendedforprogramlastinglessthan75minutes.Usedishwasher detergentpowderordishwasherdetergentgelinstead.

Delayedstart
WhenyouselectDelayedstart,thedishwasherwillstart1-24hoursafteryouhavepressed and closedthedoor.

- PressocetoactivateDelayedstart.Pressseveraltimes,orholditin,tosettthedesired numberofhours.
- Press and close the door. The timer counts down and the dish washer starts after the selected delay.
Usingthedishwasher
IfyouwanttocanceltheDelayedstartoption,openthedoorthenpressandholdforthree seconds.
Autodooropen
Thedishwasherdooropensduringthedryingphase,whichshortenstheprogramtimeandimproves thedryingresults.Waituntilthedishwasherindicatessthattheprogramhasendedandthedishes havecooledbeforeunloadingthedishwasher.(Ifthedishwasherisbuilt-in,thesurroundingfurnishings mustberesistanttoanycondensationfromthedishwasher.)
The drying time of the Autodoor open option varies (from 5 to 90 minutes) depending on the model, program and temperature of the final rinse.
TheAutodooropenoptionispre-selectedforsomeprograms.
NOTE!
Forthebestryingresults, donotclosethedoorbeforethedryingphasehasfinishedandthemachinehasautomaticallyswitchedoff.

WARNING!
Thedishwasherdoormustnotbeblockedorclosedwhenopenedautomatically.Doingsomay damagethedoorlockmechanism.Waitatleast5minutesbeforeclosingthedoor.
Start/Stop
Press the display shows "Programstarted". This indicates that the dishwasher is ready to start. Closed door properly, otherwise the dishwasher will not start.
Ifthedishwasherisnotstartedorthedoorisnotclosedwithin2minutesoftelasttimethecontrol panelwaspressed,themachineswitchesoff.
Stoppingorchangingaprogram
Ifyouwanttochangeprogramafterstartingthedishwasher,openthedoorthenpressandhold forthreeconds.Addmoredetergentifthelidofthedetergentdispenserhasopened.Thenselect anewprogram,pressandclosethedoor.

Remainingtime
Once you have selected a program, programm mode and options, the timethe program took when lastusedisdisplayed.
Statuslight
Thestatuslightatthebottomhedishwasherprovidesinformationbymeansof3differentcolours.

A lens for a forward-facing status light can be fitted. See the separate installation instructions.
Blue-Loadmore
Theprogramhasstarted, but you can still load more dishes.
Red-Donotload
You should not load more dishes (risk of poorer dishwashing result).
Green-Unload
Thedishwashingprogramisfinished.Thestatuslightstaysonfor15minutes.
**Flashingred**
Aflashinglightindicatessthatthedoorhasbeenopenedwhileaprogramisinprogress.Ifitflashes whenthedoorisclosed,anerrorhasoccurred.Seethechapter Troubleshooting.
Ifyouwanttoloadmoredishes 2)
Openthedoor. Thedishwasherstopsautomatically.Addthedishesandclosethedoor.After a while, thedishwashercontinuestheprogram.
Powerfailure
Ifthedishwasheristurnedoffduetoapowerfailurewhenadishwashingprogramisrunning, the programcontinueswhenpowerisrestored. Ifthepoweriscutduringdrying, the programis interrupted.
Ifyouopenthedoorformorethan2minutesduringdrying,theprogramwillbeinterrupted.
Oncetheprogramhasfinished
Oncetheprogramhasfinished, "Programdone"appearsonthedisplay. The endoftheprogramis alsoindicated byoneshortsignalsoundingandthestatuslightturninggreen.
Thedishwasher automatically entersstandbymodeaftertheprogramhasfinished.Shutoffthewater tapafteachuse(ifrequiredbyyourinsurancecompany).
