Frequently Asked Questions - VA3113QT Atag

How to start the Atag VA3113QT dishwasher?
Make sure the door is closed. Press and hold the On/Off switch until the display lights up. Select a programme (Eco is preselected) and optionally an option. Close the door to start the cycle. Check that the water tap is open.
What to do if the dishwasher shows error code F54?
Code F54 indicates an overload or anti-overflow protection problem. Immediately turn off the water supply and contact after-sales service. Do not attempt to repair yourself.
How to adjust the water hardness on the VA3113QT?
Open the door, turn off then on again the machine. Within 10 seconds, hold down the programme selector and the Express button until the menu opens. Navigate with the arrows to find setting 2:00-2:09. Select the value corresponding to your water hardness (e.g., 04 for 14-18°dH). Confirm with the programme button.
When and how to add regenerating salt?
Add salt when the salt indicator lights up. Unscrew the cap of the salt compartment, place the funnel, pour about 1 litre of water (only the first time), then add up to 630 g of coarse salt or special dishwasher salt. Wipe up any residues and immediately start a programme to avoid rust stains.
How to improve dish drying?
Use the Auto open option which opens the door automatically at the end of the cycle. Make sure you have enough rinse aid and increase its dosage if necessary (setting 1:00 to 1:05). Load the dishes correctly to allow water drainage. Let them cool before unloading.
What programmes are available and what do they mean?
The programmes are: Eco 55° (normally soiled dishes, best energy efficiency), Auto 45-65° (automatic soil detection), Intensive 70° (heavily soiled dishes, pots and pans), 1h programme (lightly soiled dishes, quick with Express option), Glass 45° (fragile items), Self-cleaning (cleaning the tub).
How to clean the filter and spray arms?
Remove the coarse filter by lifting it by the handle. For the fine filter, turn the handle counterclockwise and lift. Rinse both with clean water. For the spray arms, remove them by pulling upwards (lower) or unscrewing (upper). Use a pin to unclog the nozzles. Reassemble everything.
Can 3in1 tablets be used?
Yes, activate the TAB (3in1 detergent) setting in the menu (3:01). This disables rinse aid dispensing and reduces salt consumption. However, for best results, the manual recommends using detergent, salt and rinse aid separately. Never forget to add salt even with tablets.
What to do if the dishwasher does not drain?
First check that the coarse filter and fine filter are not blocked. Clean them. If water remains, the drain pump may be blocked. Turn off the machine, unplug it, remove the filters, scoop out the water, then remove the drain pump stopper (coloured disc) and manually turn the impeller to remove debris. Put everything back.
How to decipher common error messages?
Main codes: F10 = overload (clean the drain pump), F11 = drain fault (check filters and hose), F12 = water supply fault (open tap, clean hose filter), F52 = water level error (clean filters), F54 = anti-overflow protection (turn off water, call after-sales service). Press a button to clear the message after correction.

Increasedconsumptionduringregeneration

Thedishwasher's built-in watersofteneris regularly regenerated to maintain its function. Regeneration extends the dishwashing program and increases energy and water consumption. Just how often the dishwasher's watersofteneris regenerated depends on these selected settings.

Example: If the Ecoprogram is run with a water hardness of 14^ dH ( 25^ fH), the waters softeneris regenerated at regular intervals (after 6 dish washing cycles), energy consumption increases by 0.015 kWh and water consumption increases by 2.3 litres while the program time is extended by 3 minutes. Regeneration occurs during the program's mainwash.
