This product is intended only for straightening human hair. Under no circumstances is it to be used for wigs and hairpieces made of synthetic material.

This product is intended exclusively for private indoor use. This product is not intended for commercial applications.

Children shall not play with the product.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Keep the product out of reach from young children, particularly during use and cool down.

■ Never leave the product unattended when it is connected to the mains supply.

■ Never place the product on a table or close to other objects when it is heating up or cooling down.

- When the product is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the product is switched off.

For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.

⚠ WARNING! Risk of

injury! Use this product solely in accordance with these instructions. Do not attempt to modify the product in any way.

■ The product is not to be used if it has been dropped and there are visible signs of damage.

■ Disconnect the product from the mains supply and contact your retailer if it is damaged.

shock! Never attempt to repair the product yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.

⚠️ DANGER! Risk of electric shock! Do not immerse the

product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water. If liquid does get into the housing, disconnect the product from the mains supply immediately and have the product repaired by a qualified technician.

  • Clean all parts of the product as described in the chapter "Cleaning and care".
    Before connecting the product to a mains socket, check that the voltage corresponds with the mains supply details shown on the product's rating label.

- Do not use the product outdoors.

  • Do not operate the product with wet hands or while standing on a wet floor.
  • Do not touch the mains plug with wet hands.
  • Do not pull the mains plug out of the mains socket by the mains cable.
    ■ Switch off the product before cleaning and disconnecting it from the mains socket.

■ Disconnect the product from the mains supply immediately after use. The product is completely free of electrical power only when unplugged.
- Do not kink or crush the mains cord. Route the mains cord so that it cannot be stepped on or tripped over.
■ Protect the product and mains cord with mains plug against heat, dust, direct sunlight, dripping and splashing water.
- Do not use or store the product in or expose it to a humid environment.

Before first use

Operation

Use

⚠ WARNING! Risk of burns! The product becomes very hot during use. Never touch the brush head 1 when the product is switched on and cooling down. Always hold the product by its handle 6.

⚠ NOTICE! Never place the switched-on/hot product on a table. If necessary, only place the product on a flat, heat-resistant surface and away from other objects.

  1. Connect the mains plug 5 to a suitable mains socket.

  2. Press and hold the ⏻ button 7 for approx. 2 seconds to switch on the product. 120 °C flashes on the display 3, the product starts to heat up.

  3. Use the +9/-8 buttons to set a temperature between 120 °C and 210 °C in 5 °C increments. The set temperature starts flashing on the display 3. As soon as the selected temperature is reached, the display lights up permanently. Alternatively, press and hold the - button 8 for approx. 2 seconds to set the temperature to 185 °C immediately. Flashes on the display 3.

As soon as a temperature of 185 ^ is reached: lights up permanently.

  1. Press and hold the button 7 for approx. 2 seconds to switch off the product.

  2. After use: Disconnect the mains plug 5 from the mains socket. Allow the product to cool down completely.

Key lock

To prevent accidentally changing the temperature during straightening, you can manually activate the key lock.

  1. Press and hold the + button 9 for approx. 2 seconds. The buttons are locked when the lock symbol is shown on the display 3.

  2. Press and hold the + button 9 again for approx. 2 seconds to deactivate the key lock. The buttons are unlocked when the lock symbol goes off from the display 3.

  3. Switching off a locked product: Press and hold the ⏻ button 7 for approx. 2 seconds.

Ionisation function

☐ Ions reduce static charge of the hair and improve its stylability.

☐ The ionisation function is activated automatically when the product is switched on.

☐ The ioniser outlet 2 gives off ions and applies them to the hair.

☐ The ioniser outlet 2 stops giving off ions when the product is switched off.

NOTE: Do not block the ioniser outlet 2. This would lower the ion generation.

● Memory function

☐ The memory function preserves the last temperature setting that was selected during the previous use.

☐ The memory is cleared after the mains plug 5 is removed from the mains socket.

Standby mode

☐ If the product is connected to the mains supply and no button is pressed: The product enters the standby mode automatically. The display 3 does not light up.

☐ If the product is switched on for about 25 minutes, °C starts to flash in the display 3. After 30 minutes, the product switches to standby mode automatically and the display goes off.

☐ Press and hold the ⏻ button 7 for approx. 2 seconds to switch the product back on.

NOTE: Disconnect the product from the mains supply immediately after use. The product is only completely free of electrical power when unplugged.

☐ Start at the lowest recommended temperature (see above table).
☐ If required, adjust the temperature in small steps to reach the optimum temperature setting.

Straightening hair

WARNING! Risk of injury! Make sure that the brush head 1 does not touch your scalp or other parts of your skin.

⚠ WARNING! Persons insensitive to heat must be careful when using the product.

i NOTES:

☐ Excessive temperatures, extended contact with the hair or very frequent straightening can damage the hair. Do not treat a single strand of hair repeatedly, especially at temperatures over 200 °C.

☐ The hair should be clean, dry and free of styling products. The only exception to this are special products which facilitate hair straightening.

  1. Before styling: Use a comb to thoroughly comb the dry hair.
  2. Switch on the product and set the desired temperature.
  3. Section off an approximately 4 cm wide strand of hair. Hold it firmly at the tip.
  4. Guide the product evenly along the strand from close to the root to the tip. Do not hold the product too long on any part of the hair strand. Repeat the steps until the result is satisfactory.
  5. Work through the strands section by section until you have straightened all the hair.
  6. After use: Switch off the product. Disconnect the mains plug 5 from the mains socket.

⚠️ NOTICE! Risk of property damage!

Do not use any aggressive cleaning liquids or solvents. These can damage the surface of the product.

☐ If any hair gets caught in the brush head 1 of the product: Let the product cool down. Remove the hair carefully with your fingers.

□ Clean the product with a slightly damp cloth. For stubborn soiling, wipe the product with a light detergent on the cloth.
☐ Allow the product to dry fully before using it again or storing it.

Storage

⚠ WARNING! Risk of burns! Allow the product to cool down sufficiently before storing it.

☐ For short term storage: Hang the product up by the hanging loop 4.
☐ Store the product in the original packaging when it is not in use.
☐ Store the product in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and out of the reach of children.

● Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics/20–22: paper and fibreboard/80–98: composite materials.

Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.

This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.
