Intended use

Electrical safety

shock! Never attempt to repair the product yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.

During use the product gets hot. Do not touch the product while in use nor immediately after use.
■ The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the product is operating.

immerse the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.

■ The product is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage.
■ The product is powered only after the on/off switch is moved to the ON position.
Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the product's rating label.
■ Regularly check the power plug and the power cord for damages. If the power cord is

damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

■ Protect the power cord against damages. Do not let it hang over sharp edges, do not squeeze or bend it. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces and open flames.

Operation

■ The product must not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains.
- Do not move the product while it is in operation.
- Do not place the product on hot plates (gas, electric, coal cooking range etc.). Operate the product on a level, stable, clean, heat-resistant and dry surface.

- Do not cover the product while it is in use or shortly after use, when it is still hot.

■ Make sure that the power cord is not pinched by the plates or touches the rim of the plates.

The use of extension cords is not recommended. If the use of an extension cord is necessary, it must be designed for a current flow of at least 10 A.

■ Lay cords in such a way that they may not be tripped over or otherwise damaged.
■ The product is not intended to be operated by means of
an external timer or separate remote control system.

Cleaning and storage

⚠ WARNING! Risk of

injury! Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning work and when not in use.

- Do not store the hot product in a cupboard or in the packaging.

- Do not pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet by the power cord.

■ Protect the product, its power cord and power plug against dust, direct sunlight, dripping and splashing water.

■ Store the product in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and out of the reach of children.

■ Protect the product against heat. Do not place the product close to open flames or heat sources such as stoves or heating appliances.

■ Refer to the chapter "Cleaning" for instructions on how to clean the product.

● First set-up of the product

● Unpacking the product and basic cleaning

  1. Take the product out of the packaging and remove all packaging materials and plastic wrappings.
  2. Check to make sure that all listed parts are included (see "Scope of delivery").
  3. Check whether the product and all parts are in good condition, if any damage or defect is detected, do not use the product, but follow the procedure described in chapter "Warranty".
  4. During production, parts are covered with a protective oil film. Before first use, operate the product without any food so that any potential residues evaporate.
  5. Before first use, clean all parts of the product as described in the chapter "Cleaning".

Operation

The lock position 6 has 2 levels. The product can be adjusted to the different thickness of the food.
The product can be used with bread slices with a maximum size of 120 × 120 mm.
☐ The first few times the product is heated up, a faint odour may be present. Ensure sufficient ventilation in the area.
□ Discard the first set of sandwiches.

- Switching the product on/off

i INFO:

During operation, the green indicator 7 goes on and off from time to time. This indicates that the product is reheating up to the baking temperature.
The off mode is selected by switching the product off.

  1. Switching the product on: Connect the mains plug 4 to a suitable mains outlet. Move the on/off switch 5 to the ON position. The red indicator 8 lights up.
  2. Switching the product off: Move the on/off switch 5 to the OFF position. The red indicator 8 goes off. Disconnect the mains plug 4 from the mains outlet.

● Preparing sandwiches

☐ Grease both heating plates 1 with a suitable cooking oil.
□ Keep the product locked while preheating.

☐ Do not overfill the product.

  1. Preheat until the green indicator 7 lights up.
  2. Push the lock 2. Open the product.
  3. Place the sandwiches on the lower heating plates 1. Sample recipes can be found in the following chapter.
  4. Close the product. Close the lock 2. The sandwiches are being baked now.
  5. Baking takes approx. 3–4 minutes. Lengthen or shorten the baking time to achieve the desired result. The sandwich is ideal when the toast is golden brown.
  6. When baking is complete: Move the on/off switch 5 to the OFF position. Disconnect the mains plug 4 from the mains outlet.

Ingredients:

4 slices Bread
30 gSugar
30 gButter
1 pinchCinnamon
1 Small apple (sliced)
4 slices Cheddar cheese

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the product.
  2. Beat the egg, milk and pepper in a bowl until blended. Melt the butter in a cooking pan. Put the egg mixture into the pan and scramble it until thickened and cooked. The scrambled eggs are ready. Set aside.
  3. Grease both heating plates 1 with a suitable cooking oil.
  4. Put 2 slices of bread on lower heating plates 1. Top with scrambled eggs, cooked bacon and cheddar cheese.
  5. Top with remaining 2 slices of bread.
  6. Bake for 4 minutes until golden brown.

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the product.
  2. Melt the butter in a non-stick cooking pan. Add the sugar and cinnamon and cook until the sugar dissolves. Add the sliced apples and cook for approx. 5 minutes until tender. The caramelised apples are now ready. Set aside for cooling down.
  3. Grease both heating plates 1 with a suitable cooking oil.
  4. Put 2 slices of bread on the lower heating plates 1. Top with 2 slices of cheddar cheese, caramelised apples, another 2 slices of cheddar cheese.
  5. Top with remaining 2 slices of bread.
  6. Bake for 4 minutes until golden brown.

Turkey sandwich

Ingredients:

4 slices Bread
4 slices Cheddar cheese
50 g Roasted turkey breast (sliced)
1 Tomato (sliced)
15 g Mustard
15 g Mayonnaise

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the product.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the mustard mayonnaise. Spread on 1 side of each bread.
  3. Grease both heating plates 1 with a suitable cooking oil.
  4. Put 2 slices of bread (mustard mixture side up) on the lower heating plates 1. Top with 2 slices of cheddar cheese, tomato, roasted turkey breast, another tomato and another 2 slices of cheddar cheese.
  5. Top with remaining 2 slices of bread (mustard mixture side down).
  6. Bake for 4 minutes until golden brown.

Tuna sandwich

Ingredients:

4 slices Bread
10 g Mayonnaise
35 g Tuna
2 slices Cheddar cheese

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the product.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the tuna and mayonnaise.
  3. Grease both heating plates 1 with a suitable cooking oil.
  4. Put 2 slices of bread on the lower heating plates 1. Top with 2 slices of cheddar cheese, and tuna with mayonnaise.
  5. Top with remaining 2 slices of bread.
  6. Bake for 4 minutes until golden brown.

Pudgy pie pizza sandwich

Ingredients:

4 slices Bread
130 g Shredded mozzarella cheese
40 ml Pizza sauce
8 slices Pepperoni
1 pinch Pepper (optional)
1 pinch Italian seasoning (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the product.
  2. Spread pizza sauce on 1 side of each bread.
  3. Grease both heating plates 1 with a suitable cooking oil.
  4. Put 2 slices of bread (pizza sauce side up) on the lower heating plates 1. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, pepper and Italian seasoning (optional) and more shredded mozzarella cheese.
  5. Top with remaining 2 slices of bread (pizza sauce side down).
  6. Bake for 4 minutes until golden brown.

Avocado sandwich

Ingredients:

4 slices Bread
1 Boiled egg (finely chopped)
0.5 Avocado (mashed)
14 Lemon (squeeze out juice)
50 g Sweet corn
1 pinch Black pepper (optional)
1 pinch Garlic salt (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the product.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the avocado, egg, lemon juice, black pepper and garlic salt.
  3. Grease both heating plates 1 with a suitable cooking oil.
  4. Put 2 slices of bread on lower heating plates 1. Top with avocado, egg filling.

  5. Top with remaining 2 slices of bread.

  6. Bake for 4 minutes until golden brown.

Before cleaning: Always disconnect the mains plug 4 from the mains outlet.

Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.

This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product

parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.
