• Usage data, e.g.: recipe history, recipe favourites, ingredients, actions, used functions or voice commands, execution time and duration, temperature, speed, weight
• Technical usage data, e.g.: device version, software version, network protocols, serial number

3. Scope of Data Usage

• During use, data is continuously generated by the device and transmitted to external servers when the user is logged in and an internet connection is available. Usage data is only transferred for product development and/or analysis if consent has been given.
• During active use, data regarding user actions is transmitted in real time, provided the user has given consent for product development and/or analysis.

4. Data Storage

• Stored directly on your MC smart device: device data, user content
  • Additionally on external servers: user content
  • Exclusively on external servers: usage data, technical usage data
  • Data retention periods:

• On the device: for the lifetime of your MC smart or until factory reset

• User content on external servers: until the user deletes their account
• Technical usage data on external servers: 14 days
  ○ Usage data on external servers: 7 years, with any personal reference anonymised after 1 year

5. User Access, Retrieval and Deletion Options

• You can access user content stored on the device via the device itself and the Companion App.
  • To retrieve data stored on external servers, please contact OWIM GmbH & Co. KG.
• Data on the device can be deleted via factory reset. User content on the device can also be deleted by deleting the user account.
• Usage data will be deleted if you withdraw your consent to product development and/or analysis or delete your account.
• User content can be deleted via the "Delete account" button in the user area of the website and the Companion App.
• Technical usage data on external servers cannot be deleted for security and system integrity reasons.

- To provide targeted Lidl Plus product and offer recommendations
To develop Lidl's product offering in the food and near-food segments
• We do NOT share your data with third parties.

  • Technical usage data: 14 days

• You can access and delete your user content stored in the Companion App via the app.

6. Disclosure to Third Parties

• To request that certain data be transferred to third parties (e.g., under data portability rights) or to stop the data transfer, please contact OWIM GmbH & Co. KG.
• The usage agreement between you and the data controller remains in effect until you delete your user account in the app or withdraw your consent to product development and/or analysis on the MC smart or in the app.

7. Right to Lodge a Complaint under the Data Act

- Pursuant to Article 37 of the Data Act, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent authority if you suspect a violation of your rights under this law.
