SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

3. Before use, please carefully check the equipment and accessories, especially the glass components for damage; Do not use broken parts ensure that the glass assembly is not stressed. The following reasons cause glass components to fail: stress caused by incorrect installation, external mechanical force, and sudden changes in ambient temperature
4. Do not distill and heat substances whose ignition point is below the setting temperature of the heating pan.
5. The glass evaporation bottle can not be heated on one side, and rotating evaporation bottle must be turned during the heating stage.
6. Please be careful to avoid the formation of peroxides, which may explode during decomposition of accumulated peroxides during distillation
7. Allow the components to cool before operating again.
8. Keep the surrounding area well ventilated.
9. Do not touch rotating parts during operation.
10. Power sockets must be grounded.

INSTRUMENT INSTALLATION

The rotary evaporator consists of three parts, the mechanical part, the glass part and the lifting constant temperature water bath pot. When the goods is outing of the factory, the big module is packed and the ins is very convenient. The specific procedures are as follows:

4. Connect the collecting bottle with the four-way bottle.

5. Install the ring, adjust the center and up and down repeatedly, an the bottle steadily.

6. Attach the interface with clasp to secure it.

7. As shown in Figure 1. Put the rotating bottle on the right end of rotating shaft and tighten the big nut(2).

8. Put the water bath pot under the rotating bottle and add the cle to the 2/3 pot (the tap water should be placed for 1-2 days).

Matters needing attention :

1) Clean the glass before it is installed.

2) The standard mouth and the sealing surface should be coated with small amount of vacuum grease. Increase the air tightness.

3) The installation should lock the head position and cannot move.

METHOD OF USE

The evaporation rate of the instrument depends on three terms.

1. The higher the vacuum degree is, the higher the speed of the evaporation, the vacuum degree should not be less than that of the evaporation 0.096Mpa.
2. The higher the temperature of the water bath, the faster it is. Do generally exceed 80^ C, specific process requirements.
3. The lower the cooling water temperature is, the faster the cooling is, and the effect of cooling water is better.

An operating program:

1. After vacuuming and opening the vacuum pump, it is found that the vacuum is not able to be enough. check whether the bottle ports a sealed well, whether the vacuum pumps leak or not, whether the sea ring of the rotating shaft is fixed, and that a vacuum switch connects the vacuum tube can be used to fine tune the best recovery rate an evaporation speed.
2. Feed: using the vacuum pressure of the system, the liquid can be inhaled with a hose in the feeding port, and the liquid should not exceed half of the rotating bottle. The instrument can be continuous feeding, should pay attention to when feeding off the vacuum pump. The stop stop heating to evaporate slowly open the feeding pipe to prevent ba flow of cocks.
3. Heating: This instrument is equipped with a specially designed water bath pot. It

must be electrified after adding water. Temperature control scale 0-99 is available for reference. Two matters of attention:

1. On the degree of vacuum:

The vacuum degree is the most important process parameter of the evaporator, and the user often meets the problem of the vacuum. The often related to the nature of the solvent used. Biochemical industry: pharmaceutical industries often use water, ethanol, acetone, acetic acid ethyl ester, ether, petroleum ether, chloroform and toluene as solvent, general vacuum pumps can not withstand strong organic solvents, and special vacuum pumps with strong corrosion resistance can be selected (Recommend the use of water circulating vacuum pump.)

vacuum tube and observe the vacuum meter on the instrument. If the air leakage, check the validity of the seal joint and the seal ring on rotating shaft (see maintenance). If the instrument is normal, the vacuum pump and the vacuum pipe should be checked.

2. On the temperature rise of the motor:

The electric motor of this instrument is E grade insulation, and the w are

coated with polyester and high strength lacquer. The environment is more than

The continuous use of the temperature rise of the motor surface (the difference between the surface temperature of the motor the ambient temperature) does not exceed that of the motor 45^ C. Temperature rise exceeding 45^ C To the rotating lubrication system (see maintenance), if the environment is very high and the temperature of the water bath is very high, the use be cooled by the fan.

MAINTENANCE
