How to install the FLO500-DE Pro pump?

Installation must be carried out by a qualified technician in accordance with applicable electrical regulations. The device is designed for a horizontal toilet with an outlet at 18 cm from the floor. All other inlets (shower, sink) must be gravity-fed. The outlet uses a 32 mm (1 inch) fitting; the use of 90° elbows is prohibited to avoid blockages.

What is the maximum discharge head?

The maximum discharge head is 8 meters for the EU version (220-240 V) and 26 feet (approx. 7.9 m) for the US version (110-120 V). Note: if the discharge is horizontal, the pipe must have a 1% slope.

Can I connect multiple devices (toilet, shower, sink)?

Yes, the unit can accept up to three auxiliary inlets in addition to the toilet. Sealing caps are provided for unused inlets. Each inlet must be gravity-fed.

What to do if the motor runs but water flows slowly?

Check and clean the aerator located in the lid. A clogged aerator is the most common cause of reduced flow. Refer to the troubleshooting table in the manual.

What to do if the motor does not start?

First check the power supply and fuse (3 A). If the outlet is defective, repair it. Otherwise, remove the lid and dry the sensor using a hairdryer. In case of a motor or capacitor problem, contact a professional.

What is the maximum water temperature?

The allowable water temperature is between 1 °C (to prevent freezing) and 90 °C maximum. Do not exceed this limit to avoid damaging the device.

How to maintain the pump?

Clean the aerator regularly to prevent blockages. If a foreign object blocks the pump, turn off the power, disassemble and remove the object. In case of prolonged absence, shut off the water supply.

Can I use wipes or tampons?

No, the device is designed only for human waste and soluble toilet paper. Wipes, tampons, sanitary napkins, condoms, etc. can damage the blades and clog the pump.

What to do if the pump is noisy?

Unusual noise often indicates the presence of a foreign object in the pump. Turn off the power, remove the lid and clean the interior. If the noise persists, contact a professional.

How to proceed with disposal?

This product is subject to European directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE). Do not dispose of it with household waste. Deposit it at a collection point for recycling of electrical and electronic devices.

HOW THE UNIT FUNCTIONS

The macerator is simply a tank that is gravity fed from your toilet, machine, shower, etc., with a built-in pressure switch that detects incoming waste and starts a pump combined with cutting blades. This reduces the effluent to an easy-to-pump fluid, which is then pumped through small-diameter pipes into the drains. A non-return valve is fitted as standard, enabling the unit to pump up to 8 m vertically.

INSTALLATION

- ELECTRICS

The unit must be installed according to current electrical regulations, with a fused spur mounted outside the room, fused at 3 amps. We advise that this be done by a registered electrician.

- CONNECTION

The unit is designed for a horizontal toilet with an outlet of the standard European 18 cm from the floor to the outlet centre. All other inlets are gravity fed into the unit. The outlet comes as standard with a 32 mm connection; however, 22 mm can be used with a reducer. It is very important that the pipe run uses radius bends and that 90-degree (right-angle) elbows are avoided, as blockages can occur.

If the water outlet is discharged horizontally, the water pipe must have a 1% inclination.

If the sewage is discharged upwards, the horizontal pipe should not exceed 1 ft (80h).

- Inlet

The unit can be used for just one input such as a toilet or shower all at once and blanking covers are provided to allow for this.

WARNINGS

(1) Electrical Installation:

- The connection shall be carried out by a qualified technician and the requirements for electrical installations (NEN 1010) shall be met.

- If the power cord of the appliance is damaged, it shall be replaced by the manufacturer or supplier of the appliance. This will avoid creating danger. - The connection of your appliance is Class 1.

Connect the appliance to a socket with a protective conductor connection.

(2) Thermal Protection:

·This appliance is equipped with thermal protection which switches off the power supply of the appliance for 2 hours after overheating for safety reasons.

- Power on the electrical connection only when the appliance is fully installed.

·In case of prolonged absence (e.g. vacation), the water supply to the appliance shall be closed.

·Do not expose the appliance to temperatures below 0°C or above 5°C.

(3) If the indications are not followed, it could cause personal security risks.

(4) Wrong Use

Use only for human excrement + soluble toilet paper. Some examples of damage caused by improper use include grinding cotton wool, tampons, sanitary napkins, panty liners, food, condoms, towels, hair, and rinsing liquids, and solvents or oils.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Some malfunctions of the grinder are not practically serious. You can correct them by yourself. To diagnose and find a solution to the trouble, refer to the diagram below. For other malfunctions, contact the supplier or a qualified professional.
