What is the maximum load capacity of the bed?

The bed supports a maximum load of 900 lb (408 kg), including the weight of the frame, mattress, and occupants. The combined weight of the frame and mattress must not exceed 61-64 kg (134-141 lb) to ensure safety.

Do I need to fix the cabinet to the wall?

How to install the gas springs?

The gas springs are attached to the connection brackets using metal nuts (M8). First, unscrew the spring tip, install it on the bracket, then tighten the nut. The springs must be mounted on both sides of the bed.

What tools are needed for assembly?

You will need a 13 mm socket wrench, 6 mm and 11 mm wood drill bits, screwdriver bits, and a horizontal adjustment tool. Using an electric drill with low torque setting is recommended.

Does the kit include mattress straps?

Yes, the kit contains two mattress straps (part E) that attach to the bed frame with J screws (M4×20 mm). They keep the mattress in place when raising or lowering the bed.

1. General Description

Use

The Murphy bed system allows the bed to be brought from its vertical position inside the cabinet to a horizontal position, in a quick and easy way, with very little effort.

Before using the Murphy bed, the user must ensure that it is in good condition and that its accessories are in good working order.

Before using the Murphy bed, the user must make sure that on the sleeping surface there is only the mattress and bed linens.

2. Safety

Safety standard

Compliance with the safety standards ensures that the user can work productively without danger of harm to themselves or others.

It is forbidden to use the product without any mattress on the spring surface.

It is forbidden to use the bed for any purpose other than that described previously in the USE section.

Incorrect installation or installation not carried out by specialized craftsmen may cause detachments, breakage, or dysfunctions with possible damage to persons, things, or animals. All given instructions must be strictly observed.

Before starting to use the product, users must be aware of its functions and technical features, learned through an accurate and complete reading of the present user's guide.

Tampering with or replacement of bed parts that are not allowed.

The use of accessories or spare parts other than those recommended by the supplier presents a non-proper and hazardous use of the product.

It is strictly forbidden to remove any safety device and protection (labels) on the set; periodically check the incidental position on the mechanism of blankets or other items. Before starting any maintenance, repair work, or cleaning, the operator must have read and understood all technical information contained in this guide. Any maintenance and repair shall be performed by qualified personnel only.

Never place the product near any heat sources. Position and lock the system to be maintained clear of objects that may hinder its movement. The instructions and rules contained in this manual must be observed at all times.

Construction guide

Step1: Make the cabinet

Put the drilling template of 710*294mm on the side panel and ensure edge of the template are flush with the side panel as the picture.

Mark the circular hole of the template on the side panel, then remove template and drill Dia11mm hole & Dia6mm hole as the picture, dept hole is 15mm.

Make the cabinet with screws and waterproof wood glue, ensure the internal dimension as the picture, ensure the cabinet is stable and sa

Step 2:

Insert the pin on side bracket A fully into the Dia11mm hole and hole, fix A to the cabinet with screws I.

Repeat the above installation on the other side.

Step 3:

Place the drilling template of 306*82mm on panel 8 and ensure the edges of the template are flush with the panel as shown in the picture.

Mark the circular hole of the template on panel 8, then remove the template and drill a Dia11mm hole as shown in the picture, with a hole depth of 15mm. Mark the drilling holes according to the dimensions as shown in the picture on the other side of the panel, then drill a Dia11mm hole, with a hole depth of

Step 4:

Assemble the bed frame with screws and waterproof wood glue as shown in the picture. Ensure the dimension from the apron panel to the edge of the door is 32mm as shown in the picture.

Keep the diagonal lengths as shown in the picture the same.

Ensure the cabinet is stable and safe.

Step 5:

Insert the pin on connect bracket B fully into the Dia11mm holes, fix B to the bed frame with screws I.

Insert 2 pieces of bearing F into connect bracket B as shown in the picture.

Turn the end cap of the gas spring out as shown in the picture, then install connect bracket B and fix it with nut H as shown in the picture.

Insert the pin on leg C fully into the Dia11mm holes, then fix C to the bed frame with screws I. Keep the distance from the center to 310mm as shown in the picture.

Repeat the above installation on the other side.

Step 6:

Insert the bed frame at a slight angle into the cabinet as shown in the picture. Place the connecting bracket B with bearing F onto the side bracket A as shown. Install the handle onto the bed frame.

Step 7:

First, attach the two mattress straps E to the bed frame with a screw. Then turn the gas spring D into the end cap as shown in the picture, and tighten the spring with the end cap.

Repeat the above installation on the other side.

Step 8:

Close the bed frame into the cabinet as shown in the picture.

Step 9:

Install the gas spring D onto the A bracket from the back of the cabinet, using metal nut H.

Repeat the above installation on the other side.

Step 10:

Fix the cabinet to a solid wall. The cabinet must be fixed to the wall when open.

Step 11:

Open the bed, and place panel 13 onto the bed frame.

Put the mattress on the bed frame and fix it with the straps E.

Install the stopper G to the cabinet with screws J.

Repeat the above installation on the other side.
