Frequently Asked Questions - SK-720L Vevor

How do I install the blade on the Vevor SK-720L cutting plotter?

Unscrew the cap of the blade carriage. Place the brass ring on the blade and insert the blade into the top of the carriage. Screw the cap back on and adjust the tip length (about 1/64 inch). For details, see the Holder Assembly section of the manual.

What types of materials can I cut with the Vevor SK-720L?

This device is designed to cut soft roll materials, such as adhesive vinyl, with a maximum thickness of 1 mm. It is not suitable for metal or rigid materials.

How do I connect the plotter to my computer?

Use the provided USB cable to connect the plotter to your PC. First install the SignMaster software from the included CD, then configure the USB port in the software settings (see Software and Driver Installation section).

Why does my computer not recognize the plotter?

Check that the USB driver is correctly installed. In SignMaster software, make sure you have selected USB as the port type and the correct machine model (SK-720L). Restart the plotter and computer if necessary.

How do I adjust cutting speed and pressure?

Speed can be adjusted from 20 to 800 mm/s and pressure from 20 to 500 g. Use the controls on the LCD screen or via the mobile app (Bluetooth). Perform a test cut to adjust these settings based on your material.

Can I use the plotter with my Android phone?

Yes, download the CUT app from http://apk.ahroto.com/CUT.apk or via the QR code in the manual. Enable Bluetooth on the plotter and phone, then pair the devices. The app allows sending PLT files to cut.

What should I do if the LCD screen flickers or turns blue at startup?

This indicates a problem with the control board. Immediately cut the power and contact Vevor after-sales service for a replacement board. Do not attempt to repair yourself.

How do I clean and maintain my cutting plotter?

Before any use, remove the protective film. Do not let liquids or metal objects enter the machine. Clean the exterior with a dry, lint-free cloth. Unplug the device when not in use for long periods.

Where can I find the PSN code required for software installation?

The PSN code is inside the SignMaster software CD case. Open the case and look for a label with the code. Enter this code during installation as requested (step 4-4 of the manual).

The plotter makes an abnormal noise after powering on, what should I do?

Immediately cut the power and do not continue use. Contact Vevor after-sales service (www.vevor.com/support) for assistance. An abnormal noise may indicate a mechanical or electrical problem.

PRECAUTIONS

• Protective material must be removed before turning on the cutting plotter.
• Check the label on the backside of the plotter to confirm that the rated voltage required by the plotter matches the voltage of the power base.
• Firstly make sure that the power switch is off, then plug the power supply into a grounded power outlet.
• Please do not touch the power cord with wet hands to avoid electric shock.
• Use only the power cord and data cable provided by the product or the replacement approved by the manufacturer.
• Please do not drop metal objects and liquids into the machine to avoid malfunction.
• After shutting down, you must wait another 5 seconds to turn on the cutting plotter again, otherwise it will cause damage to the cutting plotter.
• In thunderstorms, turn the power switch to OFF and unplug the power cord.
• Please do not privately change the manufacturer's components.

	If the machine gives out smoke, smell, noise and other abnormal circumstances, please power off immediately.Continuing to use machine under these conditions could cause a fire or electric shock.

PRODUCT ASSEMBLY STEPS

A: Put the machine on the stand B: Connect the power supply

Before connecting the power supply, check the power supply voltage and the power cord.
Under normal conditions, the power can be directly energized.

C: Blade assembly

1. Unscrew the cap from the Blade Carriage.

1. Set Brass Ring on Blade Carriage to the fully down position.

1. Remove the protective cover from a new blade.

1. Insert the blade into the top of the Blade Carriage.

1. Screw the cap back onto the Blade Carriage.

1. Adjust the carriage cap until the blade is protruding approximately 1/64 of an inch.

1. Adjust the Brass Ring until it fits snug against the Cap. This will help keep the cap in place during operation.

b. Loosen the blade adjustment nut and rotate the shank to adjust the length of the exposed blade tip. Determine the tip length according to the thickness of the material.

c. Press the pressing rod when you want to change blade. Take out the blade when it is exposed.

d. Assembly the blade holder into wagon:

1. Loosen the fixed screw on tool holder
2. Put the blade holder into tool holder
3. Tighten and fix the blade holder when it arrives to correct position

Tips:

Do not touch the blade tip by finger, otherwise, your finger will be injured and the tip will be blunt.

1. Loosen the locking knob on the carriage arm.

Note: The cutting plotter can process soft coiled materials with a thickness of no more than 1 mm of adhesive backing. It is forbidden to process metal materials.

Note: This APP can only support Android system, there is no need to choose the language when installing, software installation will follow the phone system language installation.

① Bluetooth management: Connect the plotter through Window.
② File management: Search for downloaded PLT files and send cutting files.
③ Cutting test: After loading the materials, you can click the test cutting function to check whether the knife pressure is appropriate
④ Set up: Port mode, gear ratio and machine language can be changed. Light settings and camera settings are not related to this machine. Do not change these parameters.
⑤ Version of the query: Query the hardware version and software version.
⑥ Restart function: Pressing this button will restart the machine.
⑦ WiFi Connection window: This machine does not support WiFi function, do not need to set and connect this function.

⑧ Pressure display bar: Here you can display the current pressure value of the machine and change the pressure value.

⑨ Speed display bar: Here you can display current machine speed values and change speed values.

⑩ Sports carriage and material control area: After connecting the machine, you can control the carriage of the machine and move the material to determine the cutting position.
