Frequently Asked Questions - T100 Vevor

What are the risks associated with using this Class 4 laser?
The Class 4 laser can cause serious injury or property damage. Do not use it near combustible materials or volatile fumes. Always wear appropriate safety goggles and do not place any part of your body in the laser path.
How do I properly install the T100 laser tube?
Connect the positive electrode to the laser output, the negative electrode to the power supply, and connect the cooling hoses: water inlet to the laser output, water outlet (return) to the cooling circuit. Ensure that the water flow is 13-15 L/min and the water temperature is 15-25°C.
What is the lifespan of the T100 laser tube?
The T100 laser tube has a lifespan of 10,000 hours at over 70% utilization. To extend its life, do not exceed the rated power and let the tube rest after a few hours of continuous work.
How do I maintain the laser tube?
Clean the tube surface with a soft, dry cloth. For the semi-transparent mirror, use an alcohol-soaked cotton swab with gentle circular motions. Never clean the tube when it is hot. Use distilled water to avoid contaminants.
Can I use the laser unattended?
No, never leave the laser unattended while it is operating. It must be constantly monitored to prevent accidents.
What materials can I cut or engrave with this laser?
The CO2 laser can process various materials such as wood, acrylic, leather, paper, etc. However, some materials emit toxic gases or are flammable. Research each material before use.
What to do if the laser tube does not ignite?
First check the power supply and high voltage connections. Make sure the cooling circuit is working correctly (water flow and temperature). If the problem persists, contact technical support at www.vevor.com/support.
What is the operating voltage of the T100?
The trigger voltage is 24 kV and the operating voltage is 17 kV. The recommended current is between 6 and 24 mA.
How to dispose of the laser tube at end of life?
The product is subject to the European Directive 2012/19/EC. Do not dispose of it with household waste. Take it to a collection point for recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
Can I use tap water for cooling?
It is strongly recommended to use distilled water to avoid accumulation of contaminants that could block the cooling circuit and damage the tube.

MAINTENANCE

  1. Remove any dust or debris from the surface of the tube if it becomes noticeable. Use a soft dry cloth for most surfaces. Use a cotton swab soaked in alcohol for the semitransparent mirror at the end of the tube, cleaning in gentle circular motions. Only clean the tube when it is fully cooled, never when it remains warm from use. Never use cleaning solutions that might leave residue on the glass or mirror.
  2. ALWAYS keep a constant flow of cool but not ice-cold water during use. Use of distilled water to avoid contaminant build-up is highly recommended. Visually confirm the water has filled the cooling pathway and all air bubbles have been removed before activating the laser.
  3. For best results, never exceed the tube's rated power and allow the tube to rest after every few hours of continuous work.
