  • Easy to install with four strong suction cups
  • Modern design with an elegant aluminum frame

START-UP/POWER SUPPLY

  1. Turn the housing cover (9) with a little force, counter-clockwise and detach it.
  2. Remove the locking pin from the clockwork. The clock can be operated only after the pin has been removed.
  3. Insert a 1.5V battery into the battery compartment (6) AA/LR6. Pay attention to the correct polar direction (+ / - ) of the battery as indicated inside the battery compartment.

RADIO CONTROLLED TIME

The radio controlled signal for time (DCF) is transmitted from the central atomic clock in Frankfurt/Main in short intervals. It has a reception range of approx. 1500 km.

  • During night-time hours, atmospheric disturbances are typically less severe and radio signal reception may improve. A single daily reception is sufficient enough to keep the clock accuracy within 1 second.
  • Make sure the unit is positioned at 8 feet (2 meters) distance from any interference source such as a TV, computer monitor, microwave, etc.
  • Within concrete wall rooms such as basements or office buildings, the received signal may be weakened.

After inserting the battery, the indoor temperature and humidity are shown on the LCD display (8). The measuring range is between 0^ C \~ +50°C (temperature) and 20% \~ 95% (humidity).

MOUNTING/POSITIONING OF THE CLOCK

There are 3 ways to mount this clock on the wall or on a flat surface:

  1. Open the housing cover (9) and remove the pedestal stand (3). Insert it into the receptacle for the stand (7) and position the clock on a flat surface (e.g. bathroom cabinet).
  2. Hang the clock using a screw or nail (not included) onto the desired and suitable wall (2).
  3. Slightly moisten the suction cups (4) and press the clock with the suction cups against a flat wall surface.

CAUTION:

Always make sure to mount or stand the clock securely. Dropping the unit may cause serious damage, for which the manufacturer takes no responsibility! The suction cups must be placed on a perfectly flat, clean and dry surface. Moisture favours slipping!

INITIATE TO RECEIVE THE DCF TIME SIGNAL MANUALLY

! NOTE!

Use this function when e.g. automatic summer/winter time change does not work or the wall clock temporarily receives no time signal.

  1. Press and hold the REC button (11) for 3 seconds to start manual search for the DCF signal.
  2. The clock hands will move to their start position (12:00 a.m.) and a the wall clock then tries to receive the signal.
  3. Wait approx. 2-5 minutes until the current time will be displayed.

MANUAL TIME SETTING

! NOTE!

It is necessary to set the time manually in places where no radio signal is received.

  1. Press and hold the M.SET button (12) for approx. 3 seconds.
  2. When the minutes hand starts moving you can the set the time manually:

- Press the M.SET button shortly to set the time in minutes steps.

- Press and hold the M.SET button to set the time continuously.

  1. Release M.SET button to stop manual setting and save the time automatically and exit manual time setting mode.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Signals from other household devices, such as door bells, home security systems and entry controls, may interfere with those of this product and cause temporarily reception failure. This is normal and does not affect the general performance of the product. The transmission of the radio signal will resume once the interference recedes.

OTHER MALFUNCTIONS

If there is no response from the wall clock by keystrokes or if any other malfunctions occur perform the following steps.

!NOTE!

With this procedure all received data will be deleted.

  1. Press RESET button (10) with a pointed instrument (e.g. pen).
  2. The clock hands will move to their start position (12:00 a.m.) and the wall clock then tries to receive the signal.
  3. Wait approx. 2-5 minutes until the current time will be displayed.
