General information:

Keep the ventilation slots clean to prevent the motor from overheating. Before each use, check that the working tool is correctly mounted in the holder. The tool must be firmly locked in the tool holder.

Ensure that:

- the tool and speed are correctly selected for the intended application. By adjusting the tool and speed to the planned task and workpiece, you can work faster and more efficiently.

• Always keep the device away from your face. The spindle reaches a maximum speed of 25,000 rpm and, if the working tip is damaged, it may be ejected violently, causing injury.

- Before using the tool, familiarise yourself with its weight and centre of gravity. Use scrap material to learn how the tool reacts at different speed settings.

- For precision tasks such as engraving, polishing or grinding, the contoured design allows you to hold the tool like a pen.

Cutting

- Only use intact, undamaged cutting discs. Bent, blunt or otherwise damaged cutting discs may break.

- Never use the cutting disc for polishing or grinding!

- Move forward slowly during operation and ensure that the cutting disc is not jammed.

- Cut only with the front edge; do not tilt the disc during cutting.

- Always move the cutting disc through the workpiece in the opposite direction to the rotation of the disc.

Grinding:

- Maintain constant pressure during grinding to increase the service life of the grinding wheels and belts.

- Make several passes over the surface during machining.

Milling:

- Mill with a steady forward motion to prevent the cutter from overheating. Engraving:

- Hold the tool at an angle, similar to a pen. The operator's arm should rest on the table.

- Guide the engraving cutter over the workpiece with light pressure.

Warning: hot surface. Do not touch the handle if it is hot. Risk of burns. Polishing:

- When polishing the workpiece, guide the tool without applying excessive pressure.

- Use a flexible roller for polishing jewellery.

Use of stainless steel brushes

- When polishing the workpiece, guide the tool without applying excessive pressure.

- For polishing or cleaning with a steel wire brush, select the lowest speed setting (1) to prevent damage to the brush and the material.

9. Ongoing maintenance

WARNING

All maintenance must be carried out with the unit unplugged.

Clean the entire power tool regularly, paying particular attention to cleaning the ventilation openings of the power tool.

Avoid charging the battery pack immediately after intensive use. Due to the discharge phenomenon, do not store the battery pack completely discharged, as it may then discharge below a critical level and become permanently damaged.

Therefore, when not in use, the battery should be stored partially charged (to approx. 40%). The battery should be charged before it is completely discharged. Batteries should be stored at a temperature of 10-30°C. Batteries stored at low temperatures lose capacity more quickly.

Battery charging is described in the instructions for the rechargeable battery and charger.

! WARNING

Keep the device out of the reach of children.

If it is necessary to send the device to a service centre for repair, protect it from accidental mechanical damage and remove the batteries from the charger socket.

How to dismantle the battery

To remove the battery pack, grasp the unit by the handle and then press the release button on the front of the battery pack. Slide the battery pack out of the socket. To fit the battery pack, slide the battery pack into the battery slot and then press down until the handle latch engages.

Attachment, tool replacement

Once the tool has been clamped, make sure it has been clamped correctly: lay the power tool horizontally and try to eject the clamped tip. If it cannot be ejected, it means that it has been clamped correctly.

Maintenance of the appliance

Maintenance includes servicing of the equipment including accessories, i.e. the battery and charger..

WARNING

Never carry out maintenance work on equipment

that is connected to a power source.

This can cause serious injury or electric shock. The battery must be removed from the battery socket before maintenance.

Maintenance of the unit consists of keeping all its components necessary for normal operation properly clean. No solvents may be used for cleaning as this may cause irreparable damage to the casing and other

plastic components.

The battery must not be cleaned with water as this may cause internal short circuits leading to permanent damage.

Before each start-up:

- Check that the engine vents are not obstructed or dirty. If necessary, expose/clean with a cloth slightly dampened with water.;

After each use:

- Disconnect the battery to avoid accidental activation by unauthorised persons or during handling.
