2. Description of the device

3. Intended use of the device

This device is intended only for mowing natural grass. Any use other than the intended use of the device is unacceptable.

The device may be used in renovation and construction works, repair workshops, and amateur works, provided that the conditions of use and permissible operating conditions specified in the operating instructions are observed.

4. Restrictions on use

The device may only be used in accordance with the "Permissible operating conditions" listed below.

Unauthorised changes to the mechanical and electrical design, any modifications, and maintenance activities not described in the operating instructions will be considered unlawful and will result in the immediate loss of warranty rights, and the declaration of conformity will become invalid.

Use contrary to the intended purpose or contrary to the operating instructions will result in immediate loss of warranty rights.

Permissible operating conditions

The device is intended for outdoor use only.

Do not operate during precipitation

Information on vibration and noise

The total vibration value a_h and measurement uncertainty were determined in accordance with ISO 5395-1:2013 and are given in the table.

Noise emission has been determined in accordance with ISO 5395-1:2013, the values are given in the table above.

WARNING

Noise can cause hearing damage, always use hearing protection when working!

The declared total vibration and noise values have been measured in accordance with the standard test method and can be used to compare one device with another. The specified vibration and noise levels can also be used for a preliminary assessment of exposure to vibration and noise.

The vibration and noise levels during actual use of the device may differ from the declared values, depending on how the working tools are used, in particular on the type of workpiece being machined and the need to determine measures to protect the operator. In order to accurately estimate exposure in actual conditions of use, all parts of the operating cycle must be taken into account, including periods when the device is switched off or when it is switched on but not used for work.

6. Preparing for operation

WARNING

Before starting work, the device must be completely assembled and prepared according to the following

instructions.

Assembling the handle

Rotate the lower part of the handle around the axis of the factory-installed screws (Fig. B, 1). Insert the screws through one of the holes marked L or H (see Fig. B) (Fig. B, 2). The user can select the hole to adjust the height of the handle: if the screw is inserted through the hole marked L, the handle will be lower; if the screw is inserted through the hole marked H, the handle will be higher. The position should be adjusted according to the height of the operator. Then secure the screws (Fig. B, 2) with washers and wing nuts (Fig. B, 3). Place the upper part of the handle on the lower part, secure with screws (Fig. B, 4), washers and wing nuts (Fig. B, 5). Pass the brake cable through the hole in the brake lever (Fig. C, 1). Ensure that they are securely fastened and cannot fall out.

Grass catcher assembly

WARNING

The mower is supplied with a mulching cover inserted, which must be removed before installing the grass

catcher (see Fig. E).

If you intend to mow the grass with the grass catcher box attached: lift the rear cover (Fig. D, 1), hold the box handle (Fig. D, 2) and attach it so that it locks into the slots (Fig. D, 3).

Installing the mulching cover

If you intend to mow the grass with mulching: lift the rear cover (Fig. F, E), attach the mulching cover (Fig. E, 2).

WARNING

The mower is equipped with a four-stroke engine, which is supplied without engine oil. Before first use, oil must be

added.

Filling the engine with oil

Unscrew the oil filler cap (Fig. A, 5) and pour in the recommended oil. The amount of oil to be added is specified in the technical data. Use a funnel when adding oil and wipe up any spills thoroughly.

Checking the oil level

After the first refill, wait a few minutes and then check the oil level. To do this, obtain a lint-free cloth, unscrew the oil cap and wipe the dipstick with the cloth. Then insert the dipstick into the oil filler, without tightening the cap, as shown in Figure F (Fig. F, 1). – after removing the dipstick, the oil level should be between the minimum mark, marked with the letter L (Fig. F, 3), and the maximum mark, marked with the letter F (Fig. F, 2).

Refuelling

WARNING

Petrol vapours are highly flammable. Follow all the recommendations in the "Safety Regulations" (section 2)

of the operating manual) when refuelling.

Unscrew the fuel tank cap (Fig. A, 4) and use a funnel (designed for this type of fuel only) to refuel. The fuel capacity of the tank is specified in the technical data. Do not exceed the maximum fuel level (Fig. G, 1). If fuel is spilled, wipe up all residues thoroughly.

Setting the cutting height

To set the cutting height, pull the adjustment lever (Fig. A, 7) towards the wheel and move its latch to the appropriate notch (Fig. H). The appropriate cutting height should be selected according to the type of lawn and grass height. If the grass is tall, start mowing at the highest height and gradually reduce it as necessary.

WARNING

After setting the desired cutting height, ensure that the adjustment lever is locked with the latch in the hole and ward/backward on the mower.

7. Switching on the device

WARNING

Before starting the device, it is essential to perform the steps described in the section "Preparation for

operation".

WARNING

Before starting the device, ensure that all levers (brake, drive clutch) are working properly. Check their operation

regularly.

Starting the engine

To start the device, move the lever to the START position, and after starting, move the lever to the RUN position. (Fig. P, R)

Pull the brake lever (Fig. A, 2) towards the handle and hold it. Pull the starter cable handle (Fig. A, 3; Fig. J, 2) to start the engine. If the engine does not start on the first attempt, repeat the procedure, keeping the brake lever pulled towards the handle.

Releasing the brake lever will stop the motor. The motor and cutting blade assembly may continue to rotate for a moment after the brake lever is released. Before proceeding, ensure that the motor has come to a complete stop.

8. Using the machine

WARNING

Before starting to mow, the operator should ensure that they have read and are complying with all safety

regulations (section 2 of the operating instructions).

When mowing grass, move in straight lines, overlapping each pass (so that each subsequent pass partially overlaps the previous one).

To empty the grass catcher, stop the machine (release the brake lever – Fig. A, 2). Before removing the grass catcher, make sure that the cutting blade assembly has stopped. Remove the grass catcher in the reverse order of installation (Fig. D). Before reattaching the grass catcher, ensure that the outlet is not clogged with grass clippings.

When mowing with mulching, the chopped grass is spread evenly over the entire lawn surface by the mower. Under normal lawn conditions, mulching protects the soil from excessive erosion, and the chopped grass biodegrades, fertilising the lawn.

In order to achieve optimum performance, keep the device clean. Switch off the device regularly during operation and check that no grass clippings have clogged any of the discharge openings.

9. Routine maintenance

! WARNING

All maintenance tasks should be carried out with the engine switched off and the spark plug connection cable

disconnected.

After each use, switch off the device, allow it to cool down, and inspect and clean it.

Disconnecting the spark plug (Fig. K)

After switching off and cooling down the device, remove the connection cable from the ignition spark plug (Fig. K, 1) (Fig. K, 2).

Cleaning

Keep the device clean and store it in a clean place. When cleaning, tilt the device to one side so that the carburettor is at the top and the silencer is at the bottom. Remove any grass accumulated inside the housing with a blunt wooden tool or a thick stick. Pay particular attention to the sharp edges of the blade – there is a risk of injury.

Clean the grass catcher regularly after each use and check it for damage. If water has been used to clean the grass catcher, dry it thoroughly before storing. Clean the top of the mower housing and other parts with a soft cloth or compressed air. Do not use solvents or detergents, as they may damage the parts of the machine!

Cutting blade assembly

WARNING

When performing maintenance work on the cutting blade assembly, always wear protective gloves and pay to the sharp edges of the blade.

In order to replace or dismantle and assemble the cutting blade, obtain a wooden block to lock the blade in place so that it does not rotate when unscrewing. Do not hold the blade with your hand when tightening or loosening the screw!

The cutting blade assembly consists of a handle (Fig. L, 4), a cutting blade (Fig. L, 3), a washer (Fig. J, 2) and a screw (Fig. J, 1). Use a flat wrench with a sufficiently long arm or an impact wrench to loosen and tighten the screw. Position the washer so that its concave side faces the blade and its convex side faces the screw.

Spark plug

WARNING

Carefully tighten the spark plug after maintenance. The spark plug must not be too loose (looseness felt under the

finger) or too tight (do not use extension levers or electric wrenches to tighten the spark plug).

Check the condition of the spark plug regularly. Also check the condition of the spark plug connection cable to ensure that it is not worn and that the insulation is not cracked or brittle.

Unscrew and tighten the spark plug by hand using the spark plug wrench provided. Clean the spark plug electrodes with a wire brush. Use a feeler gauge to check the distance between the electrodes – it should be between 0.7 and 0.8 mm.

Checking the oil level, draining the oil

To check and top up the oil level, proceed as described in section 7 of the operating instructions.

The oil can be drained via the drain screw located at the bottom of the neck under the oil filler cap (Fig. M, 1). Do not allow used oil to spill onto the ground – collect it in a suitable container and dispose of it in accordance with local regulations.

Cleaning the air filter

Press the latches (Fig. N, 1) to remove the air filter cover (Fig. N, 2). The filter is located inside (Fig. N, 3).

If the filter is damaged, it must be replaced immediately.

Clean the filter with compressed air, blowing from the inside of the filter to the outside. Do not use brushes or detergents!

Wipe the dirt off the filter base (Fig. N, 4) with a soft cloth, taking special care that nothing gets into the holes and air duct!

Reinstall the filter in reverse order, ensuring that it is positioned correctly in the cover (Fig. N, 2) and that there are no wavy edges or bulges.

Draining fuel

If the machine is to be stored without use for more than a month, drain the fuel from the fuel tank using a dedicated fuel pump (not included).

The carburettor must also be drained. Looking at the mower from the front, the carburettor is visible behind the air filter cover (Fig. K, 2). Unscrew the drain screw (Fig. K, 1) and collect the remaining fuel from the carburettor in a suitable container. Wipe off any residue thoroughly.

Cable tension adjustment

If the user does not have the appropriate knowledge and experience in the field of adjustments, they should not

perform the activities described below on their own – in such a case, an authorised service centre should be contacted.

Over time, the brake and drive clutch cables will naturally wear out and stretch. If necessary, the user can adjust the cable tension themselves.

Storage and transport

If the device will not be used for a long period of time (more than a month), it should be thoroughly cleaned and the fuel drained from the tank and carburettor, as well as the oil from the engine, following the instructions described above.

The device and other items listed in the package should be transported, if possible, in their original packaging, in a manner that does not expose them to harmful environmental conditions such as moisture, precipitation, high temperatures (above 50^ C), pressure that could result in mechanical damage, and other conditions that could have a negative impact on the packaging or its contents.

When ordering spare parts, please provide the batch number on the nameplate and the part number from the assembly drawing.

During the warranty period, repairs are carried out in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the warranty card. Please return the product subject to complaint for repair to the place of purchase (the seller is obliged to accept the product subject to complaint), send it to the Dedra Exim central service centre or send it to the service centre closest to your place of residence (list of service centres at www.dedra.pl). Please enclose the completed warranty card. After the warranty period, repairs are carried out by the central service centre. The damaged product should be sent to the service centre (shipping costs are covered by the user).

I. Product Liability:

1. Guarantor - Dedra Exim Sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Pruszkow, address: ul. 3 Maja 8, 05-800 Pruszków, KRS 0000062517, District Court for the City of Warsaw in Warsaw, XIV Economic Department of the National Court Register, NIP 527-020-49-33, share capital: PLN 100,980.00.
2. Under the terms of this warranty card, the Guarantor guarantees the Product, originating from the Guarantor's distribution.
3. Liability under the warranty shall cover only defects arising from causes inherent in the Product at the time of its release to the User.
4. By virtue of the warranty, the User, obtains the right to repair the Product free of charge, if the defect became apparent during the warranty period. The method of repairing the Product (the method of performing the repair) is at the discretion of the Guarantor. If the Guarantor finds that repair is not possible, the Guarantor reserves the right to replace the defective element or the entire Product with a defect-free one, reduce the price of the Product or withdraw from the contract.
5. In relation to the User who is not a consumer within the meaning of the Act of April 23, 1964. Civil Code, the Guarantor's liability for damages resulting from this guarantee and/or in connection with its conclusion and execution, regardless of the legal title, is limited to a maximum of the value of the defective Product.

III. Conditions for taking advantage of the warranty:

The User must present the completed warranty card for the Product and the User must substantiate the circumstances of the purchase of the Product, e.g. by presenting a receipt, invoice, etc. In order to carry out the claim efficiently, the User is advised to submit with the Product for claim all the elements specified in the "Completion of the device" included in the User's Manual.

1. compliance by the User with the recommendations contained in the User's Manual and the warranty card.

2. The warranty covers only the territory of the Republic of Poland and the EU.

3. The warranty does not cover Product defects arising in particular from:

a. Failure by the User to comply with the conditions set forth in the User's Manual, particularly with regard to proper operation, maintenance and cleaning;

b. Use of cleaning or maintenance products by the User that do not comply with the User's Manual;

c. Inadequate storage and transportation of the Product by the User;

d. Unauthorized changes and/or alterations to the Product by the User, which were not agreed upon with the Guarantor;

e. User's use of consumables in the Product that do not comply with the User's Manual.

f. A user who is not a consumer within the meaning of the Act of April 23, 1964. Civil Code, forfeits the warranty on the Product in which:

g. serial numbers, date markings and nameplates have been removed, altered or damaged by the User;

h. the seals have been damaged by the User or bear signs of tampering by the User.

1. Note: Activities related to the daily operation of the Product, resulting, among other things, from the User's Manual, shall be performed by the User on his/her own and at his/her own expense.

IV. Complaint Procedure:

1. In the event that the Product is found not to be working properly, make sure that all the operations specified in particular in the User's Manual have been performed correctly before making a claim.

2. It is recommended to make a complaint immediately, preferably within 7 days from the date of noticing a defect in the Product. The User, who is not a consumer within the meaning of the Act of April 23, 1964. Civil Code, loses his/her rights under this warranty if he/she fails to report a complaint within 7 days.

3. Claims may be filed, among others, at the point of purchase of the Product, at the warranty service or in writing to the address: Dedra Exim Sp. z o.o., ul. 3 Maja 8, 05-800 Pruszków.

4. The user may file a complaint using the form available on the website www.dedra.pl. ("Warranty Claim Form").

5. Addresses of warranty services for specific countries are available at www.dedra.pl. In the absence of a warranty service for a particular country, warranty claims are recommended to be addressed to: Dedra Exim Sp. z o.o. ul. 3 Maja 8, 05-800 Pruszków (Poland).

6. With a view to the safety of the User, it is prohibited to use a defective Product.

7. Caution: using a defective Product is dangerous to the health and life of the User.

8. The fulfillment of obligations under the warranty will be carried out within 14 working days from the date of delivery of the claimed Product by the User.

9. Before delivering the defective Product for complaint, it is recommended to clean it. The Product under complaint is recommended to be carefully protected against damage in transit (it is recommended to deliver the Product under complaint in its original packaging).

10. The warranty period shall be extended by the time during which, due to a defect in the Product covered by the warranty, the User could not use it. The warranty does not exclude, limit or suspend the User's rights under the warranty provisions for defects of the sold thing.
