How to lock the BORDO One 6000A lock?
Push the arm fully into the lock body. The lock locks automatically, an audible signal sounds and the LED lights up green. After 10 seconds, it switches to surveillance mode.
How to unlock the lock?
Have your smartphone with the ABUS One app or the authorized SmartX RC transmitter within range (2-5 m). Move the lock to unlock it. An audible signal confirms unlocking and the LED lights up red for 10 seconds. Pull the arm within this time to open.
What to do if the battery is dead and the lock is locked?
Connect an external battery via the lock's USB-C port to provide the power needed for opening. Then replace the CR123A battery.
How to replace the battery?
Remove the electronic unit following the illustrations in the manual. Replace the CR123A battery respecting polarity. Close the flap firmly to ensure sealing.
What to do if the lock does not lock?
An alarm audible signal sounds and the LED flashes yellow. Check that the arm opening is clean. Do not force. After 3 failures, the lock remains unlocked.
How to install the ABUS One app?
Download the ABUS One app from the App Store or Google Play. Enable Bluetooth and location on your smartphone. Follow the instructions in the app to add the lock and scan the provided Keycard.
How to mount the bracket on the bike?
Choose a suitable location. Mount the bracket so that the lock is above the bracket (never facing downward). Do not use bottle holder holes. Fasten securely.
What to do if the alarm is triggered?
A movement detected without an authorized device in range triggers a pre-alarm after 4 seconds. If significant movements persist, the main alarm sounds for 15 seconds. Use your smartphone or transmitter to stop it.
How to clean the lock?
Use a dry cloth. Never use a high-pressure cleaner or aggressive products. Check at least once a year for any damage.
What is the Bluetooth range?
The Bluetooth range is approximately 2 to 5 meters between the lock and the smartphone or SmartX RC transmitter.

  • Download the ABUS One app and enable Bluetooth® on your smartphone.
  • Start the app and follow the instructions in the app.

must be connected to the Internet and not be in flight mode.

As an alternative to a smartphone, the lock can also be operated with the SmartX RC transmitter ( ABUS SmartX RC manual).

To guarantee proper function, we expressly recommend performing updates in the app and software/firmware updates for the components in a timely manner. The app will provide information on this. You can also perform the respective update in the component's settings.

2. Closing the lock

  1. Slide bar fully into the lock body.

  2. Lock will automatically lock, a tone will confirm the locking and the LED will flash green once. After a delay of about 10 sec., the lock will be in monitoring mode.

The delay is so that you can park your bicycle where the lock can't be moved unintentionally.

  1. If the lock does not lock, a warning tone will sound and the LED will flash yellow.

After 3 failed attempts to lock, the lock will stay unlocked. Check whether there is dirt in the opening for the bar. Do not press the bar with too much force. Otherwise the lock will jam.

The process repeats if movement continues.

The alarm will end after 15 seconds and no further movement or it can be manually ended by an authorised smartphone or an authorised transmitter.
