  • For outdoor use or in adequately ventilated areas only.
  • Install the heating device outside or in a large open area and far away from obstacles such as branches. If the heating device is near objects that can be affected by heat, like furniture, curtains, or other flammable objects, maintain a minimum distance of 2 meters.
  • Absolutely prohibited to block the exhaust vents of the device with screens or similar items, as this can result in serious malfunctions of the device.
  • Absolutely prohibited to connect the end of the device to pipes or chimneys to redirect combustion products elsewhere.
  • Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the device.
  • Read ALL instructions before using this device.
  • This heating device can become hot during use. To avoid burns, do NOT let exposed skin come into contact with hot surfaces. If available, use handles when moving this heating device.

Sonnenkönig Faro - Step 4 - 1

04 - CONTROLS

  1. Open the door, remove the pellet container with the specialized handle, and clean the container and the firebox if necessary.

  2. Pour pellets into the tank until they are level with the top edge. You can also use fewer pellets. Tap the walls of the tank to compact the pellets and let them fall up to 3 cm from the edge.

  3. Sprinkle the top layer of pellets spirally with the plant-based fuel.

  4. Follow Step 4 of the above installation steps to place the combustion barrel into the stove body as required.

  5. Ensure the tank is properly positioned in its seat.

  6. Open the ignition port cover on the side of the main body, ignite the flame using a long-neck gas lighter larger than 200 mm, and then close the ignition port cover.

  7. Close the door.

  8. Throughout the entire operating time, which lasts about 1 to 1.5 hours, no user interventions are required. The entire pellet load is initially burned through the pyrolysis process and then in the final phase through the gasification process (indicated by a blue flame).

  9. At the end of the operating cycle, the flame will extinguish on its own without external intervention, and the device enters the cooling phase, which can last 30 to 60 minutes. At the end of the cooling phase, the burner can be refilled.

  10. After turning on the device, the pellet load must be completely burned according to the manufacturer's specified cycle, and the process must not be interrupted.

Sonnenkönig Faro - - CONTROLS - 1

natural_image Three-step industrial process showing material pouring into a granular container, pouring liquid into a smaller container, and finally adding a mechanical pressurizer to a final cylindrical device (no text or symbols visible)

NOTE: During the initial ignition, the device may emit a color odor for a few hours. While this odor is bothersome, it is not harmful. After each operating cycle, it is normal for a minimal amount of ash residue to remain in the tank, which needs to be removed before starting the next cycle.

05 - PELLET

The fuel used is called pellets, which are compressed wood sawdust granules. By exclusively using high-quality pellets, nearly neutral environmental impact in terms of CO2, high efficiency, and lower ash accumulation in the device are achieved. Below are the reference parameters for high-quality pellets.

  • Raw Material: Only natural wood, free from chemicals or residues. If binders are present, they must be of natural origin and in minimal quantities.
    • Diameter = 6 / 6.5 mm
    • Length = 10/20 mm
    • Maximum Moisture Content: 8%
  • Ash Residue: Less than 1.5%
    • Density: 650 kg/m ^3
    • Minimum Heating Value: 4.9 kWh/kg; approximately 18000 kJ/kg

Sonnenkönig Faro - - PELLET - 1

WARNING: The manufacturer declares the warranty void if uncertified pellets are used. Additionally, the manufacturer is not responsible for poor device performance caused by inadequate pellet quality.

Using the device as a combustion system or in any way other than intended is prohibited.

Operating or igniting the device with fuels other than specified is prohibited.

Using pellets other than those indicated is prohibited. The use of fuels not meeting the above specifications not only immediately voids the device warranty but can also lead to hazardous situations.

As your device operates with pellets, it must be regularly inspected and cleaned. Regular maintenance ensures smooth operation and optimal performance. The user must clean the device regularly as described in this manual.

  • Do not use aggressive or abrasive products for external cleaning.
  • Do not wash the device with water or other liquids, as they can damage the internal electrical components, posing a risk to the user.
  • DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, abrasive powders, furniture polish, or rough brushes to clean the heater. This can cause damage or deterioration to the surface of the heater.
  • Never vacuum hot ash: the inserted exhaust could be damaged.
  • All cleaning and maintenance operations must be carried out when the device is completely cool and the power bank is disconnected.

Sonnenkönig Faro - The following procedure is recommended for this purpose - 1

WARNING: If a vacuum cleaner is used for the ash, ensure that no embers are burning and that the ash is cold.

Before each refilling

  • Remove the burner/pellet container and clean it using the provided brush.
  • Check the openings at the bottom for any clogs due to combustion residues. If needed, remove the burner tube and clean it with a wire brush and, if possible, a vacuum cleaner.
  • Clean the container housing the ash pan and the seat of the container inside the device, particularly near the insulation plate.
  • After cleaning and with each refill, ensure the proper installation of the tank into its designated slot.
  • The use of certified and therefore high-quality pellets allows for correct device operation at the specified performance level, and cleaning and maintenance become less demanding. The presence of silicon dioxide agglomerates at the bottom indicates poor fuel quality.

Weekly

• Vacuum the compartments inside the device and the underside of the metal main housing.
- Check the smoke exhaust ports and ensure they are clean and free from obstructions.
- Clean the glass, if deemed necessary, using a cotton cloth or kitchen paper and a specialized glass cleaner for stoves and fireplaces, which you can obtain from your dealer. Be cautious not to spray the cleaner onto the painted walls.

Sonnenkönig Faro - Weekly - 1

WARNING: If parts need to be replaced due to damage or wear, only the manufacturer's specified original replacement parts should be used.

Sonnenkönig Faro - Weekly - 2

WARNING: The generator must be cleaned according to the specifications mentioned above, and under no circumstances should flammable products be used. The use of flammable products can lead to hazardous situations. Inadequate or improper maintenance can affect the functionality of the device. Any issues resulting from poor cleaning or maintenance will immediately void the warranty.

End-of-Season Maintenance

• We also recommend thorough cleaning of the device to remove all combustion residues.
- Clean the ventilation unit once a year using a brush and a vacuum cleaner.
