Frequently Asked Questions - VIGO 7 Irradio BelAir

How to install the VIGO 7 air conditioner in a window?
Use the provided installation kit. Adjust the window slider to the size of your opening, insert it into the window, then attach the exhaust hose to the back of the unit and to the slider. Make sure the hose is not bent and there is at least 30 cm of space around the unit. Do not block the air inlets and outlets.
What does error code E5 on the display mean?
The code E5 indicates that the water collection tank is full. Turn off the unit, unplug it, then drain the water through the drain hose located at the back. Plug it back in and restart. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
How to clean the air filter?
Unplug the unit. Remove the filter by sliding it out of its housing. Wash it with warm water and a mild detergent, rinse and dry completely before putting it back. It is recommended to clean the filter every two weeks for optimal performance.
Can I use an extension cord?
No, using an extension cord is prohibited or modifying the length of the power cord. Plug the unit directly into a properly grounded wall outlet, in accordance with the voltage specifications (220-240 V, 50 Hz, 3.7 A).
How does the remote control work?
Insert two batteries (type not specified) respecting the polarities. Point the remote control towards the unit's receiver without obstacles. Use the buttons to select the mode, set the temperature, timer, fan speed, etc. The remote control is universal; some functions may not be available on this model.
What to do if the unit does not cool well?
Check that the air filter is clean. Ensure that the exhaust hose is properly connected and not blocked. The set temperature must be lower than the room temperature. Close doors and windows. If the problem persists, the refrigerant may be low; contact a qualified technician.
What is the temperature range for heating mode?
Heating mode (heat pump) operates between 5°C and 30°C. If the room temperature is below 5°C, the unit may not function properly.
How to use the timer function?
Press the Timer button on the remote control. Use the + and - buttons to set the number of hours (0 to 24). The unit will turn on or off automatically after this delay according to the programming.
What to do if the remote control does not respond?
Check that the batteries are inserted correctly and are not worn out. Remove the batteries for 30 seconds, then reinsert them. Ensure no obstacles block the signal between the remote and the unit. Avoid direct sunlight on the receiver.
How to store the air conditioner at the end of the season?
Empty the water collection tank. Run the unit in Fan mode for 12 hours in a warm room to dry it. Clean the filter, unplug the unit, remove the batteries from the remote control, and store it in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight.

The drain outlet of the VIGO 7 is leaking, where is the cap?
Frequently Asked Questions - 9 d
Response Notice-Facile

The Irradio BelAir VIGO 7 air conditioner has a drain outlet at the back of the unit to expel condensation water. If you notice a leak in this area, here’s what to check:

Priority Checks

  • Is the drain hose properly secured? The manual states: "Ensure that the hose is well secured to avoid any leaks." Check that the connection between the drain outlet and the hose is not loose or improperly fitted.
  • Is the drain hose clogged? If water is not draining properly, it backs up and leaks from the outlet. Clean or unclog the hose.
  • Is the slope of the hose correct? The hose should be installed with a slight downward slope so that water drains by gravity.

Regarding the missing cap

The VIGO 7 manual does not explicitly mention that a closure cap should be provided with the unit. The system normally operates with the drain hose freely connected. However:

  • If you received the unit incomplete, contact the seller or support to report the missing accessories.
  • If you wish to close the drain outlet (for example during storage), you can purchase a compatible cap from spare parts retailers like Spareka or FixPart.

The Important Thing

Condensation water must continuously drain during the operation of the air conditioner (especially in cooling modes). An abnormal leak indicates that the hose is not properly installed or that there is a blockage. Once the hose is properly secured and cleared, the leak should stop.

Respond (be the first)
What is the purpose of the black outlet next to the air exhaust of the VIGO 7 air conditioner?
Frequently Asked Questions - 9 d
Response Notice-Facile

The black outlet is the drainage tube (tubicino) of the VIGO 7 air conditioner. It drains the condensation water that forms during the operation of the unit.

This tube must be connected at the back of the unit, at its lower part. It is essential to install it correctly so that the water flows outside or into a recovery tray.

Important points

  • Do not bend or obstruct the drainage tube
  • Ensure that water flows freely to avoid accumulation in the internal collection tray
  • When the tray reaches its maximum level, the air conditioner displays the code E5 and stops automatically
  • Quickly empty the condensation tray to prevent mold formation and allow the air conditioner to restart
Respond (be the first)
Through which opening should I drain the VIGO 7 air conditioner?
Frequently Asked Questions - 17 d
Response Notice-Facile

The drain opening of the Irradio BelAir VIGO 7 air conditioner is located at the back of the unit. This is where you should evacuate the water from the collection tray.

Draining procedure:

  • Turn off the unit and unplug it from the electrical outlet
  • Locate the drain hose at the back of the unit
  • Empty the water using this drain hose
  • Ensure that the hose is properly secured to avoid any leaks
  • Plug the unit back in and restart it

Important: When error code E5 appears, it indicates that the collection tray is full and must be drained immediately.

Respond (be the first)
Where should the drainage tube (tubicino) of the VIGO 7 air conditioner be installed?
Frequently Asked Questions - 18 d
Response Notice-Facile

The drainage tube (tubicino) must be connected to the back of the unit, at the bottom.

When installing the VIGO 7 air conditioner:

  • Locate the drainage opening at the back of the unit, at the bottom
  • Firmly connect the drainage tube to this opening
  • Ensure that the tube is securely attached and will not come loose during operation
  • Make sure the tube remains clear and is not bent, to ensure proper water drainage

During use, condensation water flows through this tube. If error code E5 appears, it means that the collection tank is full and must be emptied immediately via this tubicino at the back of the unit.
