Before you connect the equipment to the power supply make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical to those of the supply voltage. Disconnect the compressed air supply before performing any cleaning, adjusting and maintenance work.

GB

Air supply:

Via a compressed air source with pressure setting function, e.g. a compressor. Before starting up, please also read the section on care and maintenance.

Performance values of the compressor:

The compressor used should have a tank volume of at least 50 liters.

Setting values for work with the suction spray gun:

Set a maximum working pressure of 6.3 bar at your compressed air supply.

5.1 Lubricating the tool

Each time before starting and during prolonged operation:

  • Insert 3-5 drops of special compressed air oil into the compressed air connection (6) (not included in delivery)
  • Let the equipment run briefly so that any surplus oil is blown out.

5.2 Fitting the nipple (Fig. 3-3a)

Raise the protective cap carefully with a suitable tool such as a screwdriver. Then fasten the nipple (6) to the air connection (11) by screwing it tight with a suitable screwdriver.

5.3 Fitting/removing the grinding disk holder (Fig. 4-5a)

• Undo the clamp nut (1).
- Guide the grinding disk holder (14) into the clamp (2).
• Make sure that the clamping length is at least 10 mm.
- Tighten the clamp nut (1) using the two chuck keys.
- Check that the grinding disk holder (14) is securely seated.

5.4 Fitting the grinding disk (Fig. 6)

Fasten the grinding disk (12) on the shaft of the grinding disk holder (14) and secure it with the chuck key.

Always make sure that the grinding disk and the grinding disk holder are securely seated!

5.5 Fitting the abrasive paper (Fig. 7-7a)

Secure the abrasive paper (13) by means of the hook-and-loop fastener on the grinding disk (12). When working on uneven surfaces you can use the intermediate disk (15).

6. Operation

6.1 Connecting to a compressed air supply

  • Connect the nipple (6) to the quick-lock coupling of a compressed air hose (the hose is not supplied).
  • Note the maximum permissible operating pressure of the equipment.

6.2 Switching on and off (Fig. 1)

Switching on: Push the safety lock-off (5) forwards, then press the operating switch (4) down. Switching off: Let go of the operating switch (4)

6.3 Working with the pneumatic angle grinder

Warning! The workpiece you want to grind must never be held in your hand. Secure the workpiece on a sturdy surface or with a vise.

  • Place the whole surface area of the grinding disk on the material.
  • Switch on the machine and move it with gentle pressure over the workpiece, making circular or transverse and linear movements.
  • Use a coarse grit for coarse grinding and a finer grit for finish grinding. You can find the best grit size for the job by carrying out grinding tests.

Danger!

The dusts which are formed while the equipment is being used may be a health hazard:

• Always wear safety goggles and a dust mask during grinding work.
- All persons who work with the equipment or enter the workplace must wear a protective dust mask.
