Frequently Asked Questions - ERTSX2-01B ErgoAV

Can I install the mount on drywall alone?

No, the manual states DO NOT install in drywall alone. You must attach the mount to wooden studs or a concrete/concrete block wall.

What is the maximum weight supported by the mount?

The manual does not specify an exact maximum load value. Ensure your TV meets VESA compatibility and does not exceed the indicated maximum size.

How to choose the right screws to attach the TV?

Select the screws (M4, M6 or M8) that fit without forcing into the TV holes. Use the provided washers and ensure the screw is long enough to make at least 4 to 5 turns into the thread, without protruding into the hole.

Can the mount swivel once installed?

Yes, the mount is swiveling. Turn the TV by the edges of the screen, do not push on the screen itself.

How to attach the mount to a wooden cabinet?

Use the provided drilling template (part 07) to drill a pilot hole of 5/16 in (8 mm). Then attach the base with the appropriate screws and washers. Ensure the cabinet thickness is between 0.6 and 0.8 in (15-20 mm).

Where can I find replacement parts if a part is missing?

Is the mount height adjustable?

Yes, the TV plate can be installed at 3 different heights on the support pillar during step 3.

How to clean the TV mount?

Use a soft, dry cloth to dust. Do not use abrasive chemicals.

Are the safety straps mandatory?

They are highly recommended to prevent tipping risks. The manual includes instructions to attach them to the wall or cabinet.

Can I install the mount on a brick or cinder block wall?

Yes, follow option C for concrete and concrete block walls. Use the provided wall anchors (Z4) and drill with a bit suitable for concrete.

- Use this mounting system only for its intended purpose as described in these instructions. DO NOT use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.

▲ TIP-OVER WARNING: Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from a tip-over accident.

To help prevent a tip-over accident:

• Never allow children to climb, stand, hang, or play on any part of the TV or TV stand.
• Use tip-over restraints or anchors to attach the TV stand to the wall.
• Use of tip-over restraints may only reduce, but not eliminate risk of a tip-over accident.

STEP 1 Attach the TV Brackets to Your TV

1-1 Select TV Bolts

The correct bolt diameter will thread smoothly into your TV.

1-3 Secure the TV Brackets

For Flat-Back TV, go to Option A on this page.

For Bump, Curved TV, Recessed Holes and Cables, go to Option B on next page.

WARNING:

• DO NOT turn the bolt past the bottom of the hole.
• If the bolt is too short, it may not adequately support the TV.
• If the bolt is too long, it could damage the TV.
• At least 4–5 turns into the threading is required.
• The depth of the bottom holes may be different from the top holes.

Recessed Holes Protruding Cables

You can use a tape measure to measure the protruding bolts or hold spacers next to them to choose the right spacer combination.

Note:

There are many possible spacer combinations that can be used.

STEP 7 Secure the TV Stand against the Furniture or Wall

For wooden table furniture installation, follow Option A on page 14.

For wood stud installation, follow Option B on page 15.

For concrete and concrete block wall installation, follow Option C on page 16.

Option A: For Wooden Table Furniture Installation

• DO NOT USE ANCHOR Z4 FOR THIS STEP!

Note: It is necessary to predrill a pilot hole to avoid splitting the wood. Be careful not to damage your furniture.

⚠️CAUTION: The mounting surface must be thicker than 1" (25mm). If your mounting surface is less than 1" (25mm), please follow Option B or C to mount safety straps to wall.

• DO NOT USE ANCHOR Z4 FOR THIS STEP!
- Any material covering the wall must not exceed 5/8" (16mm).
- Nominal wood stud size: common 2 x 4" (51 x 102mm) minimum 1 12 × 3 12 [38 x 89mm]
- Stud center must be verified by using an awl or stud finder.

Option C: For Concrete and Concrete Block Wall Installation

• Must use wall anchor Z4 for this step.
• Any material covering the wall must not exceed 5/8" (16mm).
  • Minimum solid concrete thickness: 8" (203mm)
• Minimum concrete block size: 8 x 8 x 16" (203 x 203 x 406mm)

STEP 8 Swivel Adjustment

The TV can be swivelled left or right. Only swivel the TV by the TV edges. Do not press on the screen.
